This video is about music composition in minor key and melody writing hacks nobody talks about. Many students didn't realize that there is an awkward interval of augmented 2nd in harmony minor form, so this has become one of the most commonly made mistakes in writing melody for minor key.
Today the main focus is on the 5 rules that we need to follow when we write melody in melodic minor form, base on ternary form, we share how to write a basic, smooth and lyrical melody with pre-designed template. Does the Auxiliary rule apply regardless of the note preceeding the first note of the start of the auxiliary?
yes it depends on melodic directions.

Oh shoot.... I have been using harmonic form...
What if both 6th and 7th notes appear but not consecutively, shall we still raise both them in ascending or keep original in descending melody? Thanks
If not appear together then follow the 1st and 2nd rules, the 6th note is considered alone, so no need to raise and 7th note is also considered 'alone' so need to raise. Because according to 1st rule mentioned in this video, when 6th note is not preceded or followed by 7th note, it's considered alone, so no need to raise it. Same for 7th note when it is 'alone', need to raise. Thanks for watching.😀
