You're iconic for this video. I would also add h.o.t's 'Tragedy' somewhere in the new jack swing genre. I've been down the 1st gen rabbithole since last year but your videos keep giving me songs to add onto my evergrowing playlist. That's only if they are on streaming because too often I hear a cool 1st gen song only to find out it's not on spotify :( I'm sad a lot of kpop fans seem to completely erase the existence of the generation that truly made way for later artists, it's near impossible to find compilation videos that include the 1st gen, it always starts at 2nd gen. Also wasn't tvxq's hug officially released in 2004? At least I know that's when the CD was released, correct me if I am wrong about this
Thanks for all the comments. Here are some rapid-fire comments on everything you said: I love H.O.T.'s Tragedy more than anything, but I was mostly going for title tracks when I could. My favorite thing (sarcasm) is when people make "[X] of every generation" but then it starts at 2nd gen. I know why that happens-a lot of people just don't know much about 1st gen-but it's still a pet peeve of mine lol. TVXQ first revealed Hug at the tail-end of 2003 and I thought that good enough.
@@beautyssi1646 ahh good to know, thanks for clearing up my confusion about Hug. Yeah we have the same pet peeve, I get many fans aren't familiar with the 1st gen but then the title "My fav X from every gen" doesn't make sense if it doesn't actually include every gen
Really enjoyed the video, was informative! Liked your last video as well (made me get into Kim Gunmo a bit lol). Thank you for your grueling research and wouldn't mind if you did some more for future videos because I'll be looking out for them! Also I know the y2k boy band thing was not an actual genre, but I am glad you included it because I like that sound even if I had only heard Perfect Man and Cowboy before (and new jack swing, in general, hits for me anyways).
Forget everything else, the world is better with more people into Kim Gunmo. His discography is unexpectedly varied, if I keep up with the genre content maybe I can make a video about him next haha. Anyways thanks for watching 💗
Love this so much!! your videos are all amazing❤
I love this sm
