being a bottom dasher - usually the offers are already late when i arrive at restaurant - so running late always, on top of this they perform illegal metrics on my driving … this company spends more money stealing and deceiving than they do improving the customer , driver experience. UNREAL!!
Same shit here in New Hampshire. Time better spent staying home drinking bourbon …making as much as the fools driving for entitled customers in fog and rain. Fuk that. 🥃 cheers !
@@EndorphinFactory Same here in my Avon, Amherst Ohio markets. DD needs to make money but we as dashers are basically paying to deliver most of these orders.
Anytime a restaurant asks me to call a customer, I do an immediate about-face and walk out the door. Its usually not worth it. Of course, I don't do earn by time.
I set a table outside for my food deliveries. I think it’s disgusting being set on the ground. You don’t know if people had dog 💩on their shoes or not.
You should multi app. DD just keeps getting worse and worse. I use Door Dash the least of all delivery apps except for GrubHub....which is basically completely dead.
I just love when the resturant is out of a drink, and wait for you to get there and ask you to ask the customer, when they should have taken care of it on their end long before the dasher shows up. Arrrg. I hate them when they do this.
I just mark it as unavailable next to the item in the app and move on ..I no longer go out of my way to ensure the customer has a replacement item. I'm a driver not a babysitter
Absolute garbage how lazy restaurant workers don’t call the customers before delivery drivers arrive. If they say they don’t have that option, they are lying. They can also call DD customer service. Drivers should not have to do restaurants jobs, including filling drink orders.
As of yesterday I have decided to Doordash no more. Have never needed the money but it was play money for my cars and hobbies. Have made a bundle on my IRA and after close to 5 years can’t put up with any more of the nonsense. It used to be fun and seem to be rewarding helping people during the pandemic and working from home after. Now it has become such a joke, being offered $2 dollar orders for 9 miles. Had some good years and made cash to buy a lot of toys but no more, F DoorDash, they now cater to the losers, both customers and dashers. I see more dashers who can’t speak English than one’s that can. Hopefully I don’t change my mind and good luck to anyone doing this moving forward, it really is a tough grind every day.
Force close the app and open it again. It will refresh to the correct time. It also doesn't change the destination address in real time if the customer changes it. You get a notification but it doesn't update so you don't know what it changes. It even navigates you to the old address. Good thing the customer called and said they changed the address. It was closer so it helped a bit. Basically its BAD CODE. Not to mention the DD app touch points are not fluid. For some reason have to tap harder just to choose anything in their interface. They need to fix the touch sensitivity throughout the app. when you want to do anything like pause or end dash, a normal tap would sometimes be ignored. Even the checkmarks are delayed whenever you click it @ 16:33 you yourself couldnt even tap the checkboxes on first try. They really need to improve their app interface to be more touch friendly.
I have had to click on three lines for several months now when a pickup is past the original pickup time to see the "new" deliver by time which is the same amount of minutes allowed as if you picked up right on time. So if you originally had 10 minutes if you picked up at 7 pm to deliver by 7.10 pm then if you picked up at 7.12 pm you still get 10 minutes to deliver by 7.22 pm. Problem is in my area we now have as little as 4 minutes to deliver 1.8 miles. Had this happen at a pickup where I was already in the parking lot to go exactly 1.8 miles in 4 minutes but I had to confirm for the employee in the business, then get to my car, pull out after traffic, drive 30 mph the entire way which also has 5 stoplights. CAN"T BE DONE in only 4 minutes DD!!!!!!!!!! I was 3 minutes late to the house as traffic was heavy and I hit 3 red lights. It gets worse when you have to go to a secure apartment building and get buzzed in and then go to the end of a 3rd floor.
I got 2 CVS in a row from the reduced time. I started contacting support when I was in traffic telling them not to give me 1. And then my times went back up
My daughter-in-law has delivered live crickets before... so, why not a wedding dress too?! I have delivered two huge bags full of helium balloons for a party once. It was actually kinda funny, I couldn't see out my back window or my passenger side window! 🤦🏽♀️🤪🫣
Door trash only gave me 6 minutes to get to a restaurant pick up and deliver an order.. wasn't even humanly possible.. their shorter delivery times are ridiculous and YES.. drivers are definitely getting CV's over this.. their automatic
I like how he said a small wait of 5, 6 or 7 min. lol I got a popeyes that is at least 20 min wait inside and a McD's that is 12 to 15 for ever order doesn't matter time or day.
I’ve gotten used to needing to close and reopen the app when the order is picked up for the delivery time to update. It’s annoying but it is what it is.
Proof is key..i got an order for a pizza place at 10:37 got there it was locked but the worker opened the door and was like i'll make it it obviously took a few minutes i was worried about being late and getting a cv but took a pic of the store hours just in case then the next day got an order from the same place at 10:52 why the heck am i getting orders from there if their closed??
This is not door dash related but instacart. I am sonics of having to get the plu on produce. Just make it so qencan scan the barcode if people don't know what an egg plant is
Hi Charlie, I highly doubt that I'll be ordering a wedding dress from anyone much less David's Bridal. Then again mine has to made from buckskin (deer skin) and not a white fabric. IF I were to get married ever again it'll be in a Cherokee Buckskin Dress (made white with chalk pounded into the leather). Told ya I'm very untraditional according to American standards. Neither would the reception... it'd be a powwow w/ Native Drummers & Flutes, and Native American foods. No boring chicken dinners. lol 😂
I was picking up an order at a chipotle and the line was about 20 people deep. I contacted support right away to let them know. They said don’t cancel, wait. They added on a second pick up while I was en route. I checked the usual long line order not started until I arrived to protect myself(or so I thought). Anyway I eventually received one of the two orders and the other one was still not even started. Support said they would call the restaurant and they were told the same story. They couldn’t find the second order. I ended up leaving, they said they would cancel the other order. I was at platinum at the time. A few days later they knocked me back down to silver status and gave me a cv. I disputed the cv and they denied my dispute. I told them to check their notes they didn’t care. I’m punished for following their rules. I’ve learned a valuable lesson.
I got a question for you Brash that maybe you can address for me. I'm not only a Dasher but I order through doordash quite often. In my region the options for tip are 6% 8% 10% and other with 8% being the default. When I work at least 80% of my deliveries are tips of a solid amount of $3 $4 maybe even 4.25 or 5:50. When I order my tip amount at any percentage it's not an even amount by any means. So my question is this. Do you suppose 80% of the people using the app purposely go in there and change it to a flat amount still leaving their purchase price at an off amount or is it just coinkydink that our payouts in tips are flat amounts approximately 80% of the time? Where's the odd change if people use defaults? I do notice corporate or website direct orders have odd amounts but not through DD. I don't know why but this just doesn't make sense to me. Please help me understand. Thank you in advance
Flat numbers are doordash rounding up/down in the percentage. If you’re giving exactly 8,10,15,20% it will almost never be a flat number. When ordering thru merchants and not on DD they don’t push rounding on tips.
@areyouokay3297 doordash rounding up or down our tip? Maybe I'm confused. If I paid $38.79 on an order and added an 6% tip. What does doordash do? That comes out to 2.327 and it shows up in the tip amount as 2.33. how does it end up as even number at the dashers end and what is that number? $3? Or 2? 2.50? I must be confused
@ i believe they are rounding to the nearest dollar that matches the percent . So let’s say the order is 35.75 a 10% tip would come out to 3.57$, DoorDash will round that down to 3.50 on the app. 15% would be 5.36$ I’d guess they would round that up to 5.50$ but maybe they’d go down to 5$ flat. I’m not 100% certain on my theory but I’m sure enough that I’d bet money on it.

I hit “decline” and it sometimes gives me that order anyway. Then I cancel and it goes against my cancellation rate
I actually had to pick out and deliver a bouquet of flowers to a hotel room for someone who was a no show to an evening date night.
DoorDash was trash today! Made 7.50 in 3 hrs and 22 minutes. I got pissed and went home. Never had such a horrible rainy day
😳 @BorderlineDasher 😳 I am so sorry

@ yea I came home drank and got crap done around the house. I wasn’t gonna waste my time sitting in the rain
Mannnn everyone seems so disgruntled in this community/comment section.
That’s how it is pretty much everyday for me. Get an order then wait an hour or two for another
The doggie said "but I like u a lot better"🥰🥰
Man I’d love a $5 base pay… ours is $2 in Utah. Great vid as always sir 🫡

That was a Coke zero
@BorderlineDasher 2 bottles to the left of the coke zero was a regular mexican coke in a bottle

U we're going to talk about the time we have to schedule
No way I’m delivering to bridezillas
You need to come up to Minneapolis. You’ll never be sitting there idle.
Of course because frozen nowadays in Minneapolis, you can't beat weather there, impossible to work in freezing air
How are you able to see the tip immediately from your dash screen?
just hit the down arrow both amount show
It's his state's law. In MD we don't have that option!!!
I'm so sick of taking receipt pictures
i just take a random picture of whatever and it always lets me move on. fuck dd and their stupid requests
I just take a picture of it in the store, if it says “continue with pickup “ it wants a pic, if it says “complete “ then it won’t ask
@Monkeyman-qt1sm I know how to do it I'm just sick of it
