Ryan it's the modern football, entitled, kneejerk reaction roasters that sadly are all over our club now. Totally agree about you saying we're the most fickle supporters in the world. Misplaced pass? Waste of money! Missed chance? Should never have signed him! Didn't win a game? It's a crisis! F*cking joyless roasters who can't appreciate ANYTHING that doesn't result in a win for Celtic. Win every game - that's all they want. Nothing else. I came out of yesterday's game thankful for a great game of football and a Scottish team coming to Celtic Park, not rolling over and giving us a proper game for a change. Breath of fresh air. I seen about 10 comments this morning complaining that we spent the money on Engels and Idah but they'd probably have been the same people complaining if we didn't buy them and they seen a headline about them doing well for another club.
You’re quite correct! Engles doesn’t look any better than Bernardo or McCowan. Idah, everyone knew was an overpay. But, hey-ho, I’m not going to complain over the board spending money.

I've seen a few glimpses of Engels that tells me there's a player in there and hopefully he just needs more time as well; with Trusty I've no idea, but again more time is needed to make any kind of judgement on him

I said the same thing - thankful to have seen a great game where a Scottish team came to Celtic Park and didn't roll over, didn't put 11 men behind the ball with the sole aim of keeping the score down, and actually had a go. Great stuff and credit to Aberdeen. These modern football 'fans' who think we are entitled to win EVERY game by 3 or 4 goals should be grateful they never lived through the early '90s

They're on a high with new manager but if we are taken to the wire with a club who has Shinnie, Nesbitt, Mitov in their team whilst we spent 20M on 2 players then the players and manager need shot 😂😂 they'll be 3rd by Xmas and by the split be about 8 points behind the huns and about 20 behind us.

yeah, precisely this. We had some of the same issues as we did against Dortmund, will get stomped by Atalanta if we play like that again. Nobody is saying it's a crisis domestically, Rangers are pish and Aberdeen won't sustain this run, we will sign some depth in January if it gets close, it's just that that might be too late for Europe.
Every armchair supporter seems to be a tactical genius after we drop points . The reality is no club in the world fail to drop points that’s why you have competition. And what makes football great . We used to be the most loyal support in the world now we are an embarrassment. I agree with your comments but it does show we need a better defence, especially when it comes to big games, needs to have bette4 quality in these positions. I’m still dubious about Roger’s tactics at times
At the end of the day our big buys should be showing why they cost so much, if they don't do that then questions will be asked. If we are considering dropping Engels for mccowan then that speaks volumes. We play in a league where our big buys should be substantially better than their counterparts, it's just the way it is.

Spot on Ryan.....Lot of success this century, hasn't always been the case, i remember almost going out of Business and the Coffin in the Newspapers when that was the main news outlet before this internet worldwide web. A Lot of Fans at the time including myself invested in shares to rebuild, the success now, started then. At the time it threatened a 10 in a row from the old Rangers but we succumbed and have flourished year on year, The occasional mishap will occur, especially in the European Stage. I remember these times, my son, has seen mostly success. But we must take the rough with the smooth and be more understanding at times when we falter. Hail Hail ☘🇮🇪

You make a good point, Ryan, that the over-the-top reactions are almost exclusively online. Yesterday, the reaction of the crowd was very reasonable. The crowd weren't getting on the team's back, we were roaring them on at 2-2. And even at full-time, a lot of people stayed back to applaud the team. There were some boos but that seemed to be more so towards the ref for not letting that corner be taken.
Was scunnered yesterday because we fell back into old negative habits but some games will be a slog its just the way it is, but anyone fancy a pie?

Damn right. McStay, Collins and Boyd apart, the early '90s practically WAS a 'broken pub team'. We weren't even the second best team in the country - in fact between '89-'95 we never even finished second - 3rd three times, 4th twice and even 5th once! A dreadful team in a rundown stadium, light years behind Rangers, where NO game was a guaranteed win OR draw. Dark days that a large number of our entitled 'fans' should maybe think about.

Let's be honest we didn't drop 2 points yesterday ! We drew against the team who will be our closest challengers for the title this season which takes 2 points off them too, honours even. This season will be determined by the points we can move ahead of the Dons, Sevco wont come close.

Oh, also, the points per game, goals per game, and goals conceded per game in the league this year is near exactly the same as Ange’s 2nd season. The year that’s used as an example-cum-cudgel to get across how this team is bad, GG was the greatest striker ever (he never put up a goal contribution per 90 number like Idah did last year, but he has come close), Hart is better than what we have now, and Starfelt is prime Maldini while Scales would struggle to find his way into Hamilton’s under-12’s.
The Engles concern is warranted I think. He’s not really that impressive of an athlete. Valle falls down more than anyone I’ve ever seen. Don’t know what to make of Trusty.
Bernardo and McCowan have looked really good. Idah has been fine.
I’ll duck before saying this, but Kuhn is on pace to outproduce Jota and Abada if he can keep this pace or thereabouts.

I feel this is a testament of this rangers teams mentality. We dropped 2 points and so did Aberdeen for that matter. And today was their chance to close the gap and put us and the dons in touching distance but they couldn’t handle that pressure. Same as how last season we handed them the league and it was in their hands to win it, but same again, they could not handle the pressure. Bunch of bottle jobs 🍀🍀

And I understand he gave away an awful psss for the 2nd goal and he wasn’t as energetic as usual. When He just got back from representing Japan! Also are folk forgetting he’s probably been our best player this season and is probably the most hard working player to ever pull on a Celtic top. And don’t forget that performance against rangers. I stayed away from watching anything to do with Celtic and didn’t go on twitter because I knew I’d see this kind of reaction, even at the final whistle I wasn’t annoyed. We play that game 10 times with the same number of chances for both teams I reckon we win 9/10. Also thought Aberdeen were decent and it’s a great result for them but I wouldn’t even say they particularly worried me for the semi final or the remainder of the season.
Spot on, we should’ve won the game. Aberdeen done well to hang in first half but we should’ve been out of sight and 9 times out of 10 we probably would’ve been as you mentioned. We were just wasteful. Then slackness for that first 15-20 mins of the second half (possibly a bit of complacency due to being comfortable in the first half) but credit to Aberdeen for getting back in it.

Kille played well and showed their pitch makes it difficult for other teams to play on. I thought Rangers did dominate but killie done well on the break and delivered the blow that have winded them, hopefully they won't climb the leauge and maybe drop down further down the league hopefully.

As someone who really wasn't/isn't keen on either of them, Scales and Trusty have actually both been playing very well imo, apart from a couple of individual errors. They have been made to look worse in the last few games by poor organisation in the midfield, FBs sometimes being out of position, and the weird instruction for them to always push up to win headers leaving a gap behind them.
When push comes to shove, they are complete bottle-jobs. We saw that at the arse end of last season, and they have a worse team now than then.💚💚💚

Would love to get back to the days when losing / drawing , 5-7+ games didnt mean losing the title. We NEED other clubs to push us to stop us getting hammered in europe. When I said Dortmund might've broken the team it was more commenting on what seems to be some sort of fear or rashness in the team when things start to go a bit left field. Not really commenting on the fact that we dropped points. More that we were up 2-0 and were unable to weather the storm when Aberdeen starting picking up their game. + a bit of a post-game dissapointment fueled overreaction.

I think you are correct that a lot of the commentary smacks of people who have never experienced competitive sport. The other team usually tries to win/get a result, too. Sometimes through skill, effort, random variation we call “luck”, it happens.

Rangers can sack managers as often as they like, but will never be a force until they get some cash to buy some decent players.
The whole "Dortmund broke the team" argument is one that I always hate. No matter how bad a certain result is, it takes far more than one individual result to completely derail a team, it usually takes a string of 3 or 4 matches in a row, never just one bad result in isolation.

Your spot on here with everything you've said and as for yesterday's video, the only part I disagreed with you Ryan was on Valley, I personally think that bar the 2 or 3 loose passes I think he had a decent game considering the boy has only played about 4 games, needs time to adjust to our league and new team.
