Thank you so much for lifting the blade as you push into the bank. I've seen so many videos of people who don't 'stack' the snow when they get into the bank. Nice to see someone doing it right.

If you paint the back of your plow primer black it will cut down significantly on glare. I've been plowing for years and this is to help tremendously

This brings back memories when I had a good old 'shortie' GMC 4 -WD pickup with a 350CID and a 7' Fisher Snow Plow on. Man, that could push snow too.
I like how this one connects to your truck., it does so with a breeze.
    Nice video.

Never know when you might need to get your plow and tumble bug to do some scraping and plowing! 😀

Fine job, fine rig but I was expecting that! Saves a lot of scooting around. A helpful neighbor scooped what little snow we had and a lot of rock off the road. Some help. Maybe I can drag it back in this spring. Maple bud clusters big as nickels but we're due a deep freeze BUT when it quits raining I've got high spots to mow. Tis the season! Thanks, Buddy and hope that thumb is better!

    • @lewiemcneely9143

I feel for you and the thumb but it's better to bleed it out for sure. And that's a fine way to work deep snow.. If the guy had just left ours along it'd been gone in no time because there wasn't much of it but instead of letting the sun do the work he tried to get every flake and can't run a skid steer to start with. It's in yards and pushed over culverts where it melted out. It's a mess but I'll try and at least make it look a little better a little later. And that plow hitch is a trick but it's also like you said, you got to Watch What YOu're DOing because one miss lick and the $$$ would go flying. Good running truck but I know how you are. I try hard myself. Take care, Pal!

Meyer Diamond is an interesting plow... Looks like a Fisher style trip-edge and mount.

If we got snow like that up here that didn't blow in and drift I probably wouldn't hate winter as much as I do!

Great video , and great tip about creeping in to an old snow pile slowly. I see too many dudes ramming than they wonder why there stuff breaks.

nothing beats sitting on the tractor seat moving snow. alas I have gotten soft in my old age. I bought a bobcat and snow blower last fall. now my 4 hrs of seat time is down to less than 1

worst part of snowplowing is the gas. My 1986 K30 has a 454 in it and oh my god you'd think you had a hole in the gas tank.

nice rig man.. i have a 2002 f 350 7.3 western pro,, nice. i also was watching you steer and back hand shift with left hand , i was doing the same thing till i ran a buddys truck with plow controls on left side of wheel ( driver door side), i was a little awkward at first (being rt handed), but once you get used to it , its great ,run plow with left and steer /shift with right ,then its also easier if you need hang out window to spot objects ,give it a try,,you will thank me later ,to each its own tho ..plow on bro, ,, regards scn

I sold my older truck and purchased new F350 wonder if I should purchase fisher or Myers. Mostly being used on gravel road. I’m running out of time it’s the end of August now. You really did a good job on plowing thanks.

If you plow gravel or dirt roads try putting roundstock the length of the plow and have 2 posts welded to the the roundstock so you can mount it where the "shoes" or "feet" would Normally go and use washers to adjust the height, it cleans awesome, smooth and doesn't dig in or tear anything up.

    • @Nick-gi6ym
      @Nick-gi6ym 3 роки тому

@@Terk131 I purchased the fisher HDX plus purchased the shoe kit. Fisher new shoe kit is not round they don’t use the washer system to adjust the height. New system for HDX bolt on has adjustable by using pins. You have about 6 adjusting wholes. Only used my plow only 3 times now as of 1/9/21. It’s really easy installing the plow on & off.

Something wrong here. I'm two hours north of you on the Canadian side of the Rainy River, You have more snow than we have?
What's up with that? I've got a new Western plow on a 2016 F150, you don't get fuel millage when snowplowing, doesn't matter what your driving. I put a 4" piece of rubber belting on the plow, keeps the truck hood cleaner, should have used 6" belting.
    Keep smiling.

Where is your rubber flap on the front top of your blade. Mine is 10 inches wide and full length across. Sure helps keep the snow off of the windshield. Nice video.

Thanks for the great reply. I'm 76 and back in the 50's car dealers would just hook up a cable to the odometer and spin it backwards. That worked until cars came with a small wire that would scratch the numbers if they were turned backwards. I'm a mopar guy but won't hold it against you for liking Fords. I also enjoy your vids.
