I never heard of Fr. Kirby's explanation of the difference between niceness and kindness. However, I always use the term hypocrite versus honesty. And in the world we live in, most people do NOT appreciate honesty. That's why so much hypocrisy exists in the world. And it is the example of Jesus Christ we have to look to - to show us that we should not tolerate hypocrisy.

I always pray that God will give me a heart that always sees the good in others. I know that I am not perfect, and I always fall short of loving people, and I fall into the trap of the devil to dislike people... I ask God for forgiveness and for a heart like His, who continues to love and forgive even if it is hard to forgive...
