Your RV's of MCI became one of my routines, Ovela. Although I'm finished watching the entire series, it's still great to watch it over again with you. Anyways, the guy who beat up Padre Damaso was Elias, and his big role will be unfolded by the next episodes.💛
When this episode came out I was shouting "moooooore" when Elias beat Padre Damaso, kinda disappointed that he didn't k*ll Padre Damaso but he has his reasons, and also the scene between the two Maria Claras always made me cry.
Some historians said that the character of Elias was close to another Filipino patriot Andres Bonifacio but others said that it represented the other side of Filipino patriot Dr. Jose P. Rizal. Elias (played by Rocco Nacino) in the video wearing a hat called salakot. I will give credit to the past actor who played Elias (Noli Me Tangere 1993), his name was Daniel Fernando. Daniel still acting occasionally. As of now he is busy serving his people as an incumbent Governor of Bulacan Province.

Can i just say that we cannot blame these women, especially the wife of Kapitan Basilio, on how they tend to not be open about new things outside being a wife and a christian woman. It's just sad how they think of themselves, that they are "just" women. The scene of Klay and Maria Clara here will be the turning point where Maria Clara starts to be more curious and be empowered, very different from the Maria Clara that the actual novel portrays.
