Just purchased the Bermy Basic 20. On my needles for now before I start is. A hat for my husband for Fathers Day. We went to Bermuda for a CardiologyConference in April, 1998 . It was nice weather ( I recall that I was training for a 5k and I. Had a lovely time running outside). Seeing the men walking to work in their daily attire I enjoyed the array of colors they wore. I did lots of knitting poolside as well indoors on rainy days. Thank you for today!
Sounds great! Glad you enjoyed your time in Bda!
Love your podcast, Beth! Have fun on your trip. The fish in the guy's bucket is hilarious! Can't wait to knit your shawl this Advent. All the best, Kimberly
Thanks so much!
Love your Pothos tee. Absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
Oh my goodness the Sea Swell Tee knocks it out of the park, love it!! Will be looking forward to that for sure! I so appreciate you sharing the Bermuda tidbits. So interesting to learn about the history of the Bermuda shorts. I’m quite jealous of the chap with his fresh catch dinner! Stunning horse also, what an amazing ride that must have been. As always the scenery is breathtaking. Can almost feel the heat and the breeze. Safe travels and hope you have a fantastic time on the cruise! 🥰
Thank you so much for watching! Yes Bermuda is a really special spot. So glad you like the new design too. I’m super excited about it.
Thanks for the Bermuda shorts history. It was very interesting. Enjoy your cruise and cooler weather. I bought the Pothos pattern. Now to shop my stash for yarn. Thanks for sharing videos of your 'Rock'.
Have fun!
Ha! Missed seeing this while the coupon was active! Such a beautiful knit that I purchased anyway ❤
Look forward to seeing the mystery shawl you knit. And love both your sweater and summer top. Very interesting about Bermuda shorts. It’s like we grew up with them so I never thought about how they first started, love history.

Thank you so much!
Thanks for a great episode. After watching your last episode I went on the LA yarn crawl and bought yarns cotton/linen for the Roving summer tee. Your new pattern, Pathos, looks very interesting. I really love the side details.
Wonderful! So glad I was able to enable 😉. Thanks for watching
Yes have great trip
Maybe you can plan a Bermuda knitting retreat
Love the new pattern
You look relaxed for day before traveling
Thank you! I’ve looked into a retreat in Bermuda but it’s very pricey (accommodation being the main issue and flights are always super high too). I’ll keep working on it…
I love your podcast. Enjoy the cruise❤
Thank you! The cruise was fantastic!
Thanks Beth, great episode. Enjoy hearing tidbits about Bermuda. Nova Scotia is in same time zone as Bermuda I believe. Newfoundland is half hour later then Atlantic Canada. Great patterns! Enjoy your cruise🥰🇨🇦Sharon.
Yup! We’re in the same time zone. Love NS, my dearest friend lives near Hfx. I’ve spent a lot of time in the province over the years. Beautiful. Went to MtA for university too. A great part of the world!
Buying the Pothos tee! I love it. I have to go into the office a couple of days during the week and this seems to fit the bill.
Fabulous! Happy knitting!
What a beautiful new designs you made for us! Can't wait to add them to my wardrobe ❤
Interesting topic about Bermuda shorts. About school uniforms, unfortunately, most UK secondary schools banned shorts for boys. At least in Bristol where we live. Yes, of course, our summers are not at all like in Bermuda, but we still have hit waves in late spring/summer months, and boys really struggle wearing black trousers and heavy blazers. There were an episode when high school boys during hit wave came to school wearing uniform skirts 😄 since then most uniform skirts made in a kilts style and it is ok not to wear blazer when the weather goes +28°C and up. (All about Bristol non private secondary schools)
Oh that's so interesting!!! I wonder why they banned the shorts? Thanks for watching and Im so glad you like the new design. I've just finished the hem and am sooo pleased with it.❤
I love the Pothos Tee. So delicate. Great insights into Bermuda. What do you know about the "Bermuda Triangle"? Maybe another history lesson for us? Rosie
Thank you! The Bermuda Triangle is a bit more complicated and I’m not clear in it at all. Apparently a magnetic anomaly. I’ll definitely work it into an episode and maybe have my son explain (he’s far more scientific)
Loved the pathos tee so much I just purchased it🥰!
Yay! Thank you!
Very good episode, loved the talk about Bermuda Shorts. Have a great cruise.
Thank you!
Oh, the creativity! What a fun episode. About colors looking different, have you noticed when you wear those readers(I have the same brand) that you need to move them out of the way to see the real colors? I only noticed this the other day when I was traveling and at a yarn store. Glad I figured that out!
Good point! Thanks!
Love my Hanging Leaves. First pattern I made of yours:) Hope your cruise was awesome and would love to test knit the Sea Swell T!
Amazing! If you’re keen on the test knit, please send me an email at knit@bmid.bm thanks!
Have a great cruise with the Grocery Girls! It should be so much fun, and I can't wait to live vicariously when hearing all about it.
Can't wait! Will do my best to photograph a lot on the trip to share when I'm back home. ❤
Kudos to Oliver! such a good sport for showing us his uniform.
He was very pleased to, he's a cutie and not terribly bashful which is fun ❤
The new tee design is beautiful….it looks like tapestry on the hem so unique! Thank you for sharing the history of Bermuda shorts I personally love them and have always preferred them over short shorts:) How gracious is Oliver to model his outfit …. Have a lovely trip enjoy the cooler weather 💕
Thank you too! Yes it is very much like a tapestry, feels it too. Really fun, simple and effective. Thanks for watching!
I love how the fabric folds so beautifully in your sea swell tee, very Greco Roman like.
Thank you so much! I agree - a very classic drape. I'm glad you like the design ❤
Fabulous as always. Love when a podcaster whips on and off designs, so good to see the knits in action. Happy sailing and thanks for sharing, Karen 🥰
Thank you for watching!
The Pothos Tee is very pretty, love the leaf motif as it continues down the sides. Enjoy Alaska and all the fun knitting activities on the cruise 🙂
Thank you so much!
I love my Pothos! Thanks for the Bermuda shorts mini-documentary! It’s kind of like any traditional cultural dress borrowed for fashion, they do go in and out of vogue. I cant wait to hear about your cruise! Bon Voyage!
Yes exactly! Thanks! The cruise was amazing!
Fun episode Beth! Bravo for frogging something that wasn't working for you! 🐸I love the Bermuda shorts segment (especially the live model! 🤣 Oliver was a good sport!) Have an AMAZING trip!!! Please keep us posted when your NYC trip is coming up. Safe travels! xo-Kate
Thanks Kate! Will do!
Thank you Oliver! Really interesting about the Bermuda shorts. My favourite knit is the green on the stand because I like dressy 👍
Good choice! I love that one too. Thanks for watching!
Oh my! Your visuals on Bermuda shorts brought back memories! When we lived in England, my brothers wore them as part of their uniform. And my father wore them often on the golf course. I had a hunter green wool pair in the '90s that were acceptable in the office with heavy tights. Had to purchase the Pothos Tee as soon as I saw it. Lovely chat as always, Kim PS - Oliver looks great! My son has my high-school hair LOL Very long and wavy. If he ever cuts it, I'll be crushed.
Thank you Kim! Neat to hear that Bermuda shorts were a part of your life in England too. They are so practical! Thanks for watching!
OMG, so glad you highlighted the Pathos Tee! I've been thinking about knitting it, but didn't know much about it. I think I have a great yarn for it, and this video made me purchase it.😊
Thank you so much! Happy knitting!!!
The Pothos Tee is absolutely beautiful 💚🖤
Thank you!!!
I love your stunning designs and learning more about Bermuda. Fun! I hope you enjoy your cruise.
Thank you! Will do!
Another fabulous episode! I was intrigued by your new sweater and then I saw a close up of it on IG.... 🤯 Holy crap!!!! That wave pattern is amazeballs!!!! Another winner for sure! 😊
Yay! Thank you! I love that stitch pattern too and it’s so simple!
Hi Beth! Visiting with you on Wednesday morning so by now you are probably en route to your cruise so have the best time! I have had the Pothos Tee in my favorites for much longer than I’ve known you so maybe this is the year that I will finally knit it 😆 The weather turned suddenly here as well so we have a warm week and yesterday, for the first time this year we were able to knit under our beloved bridge. Take care and happy knitting!
Thanks Kelly! I watched your episode this morning too! ha, ha! Your time at Knit City TO looked fantastic! So glad you all had fun. Flying out in a few hours. Cant wait to get on the plane :) Chat more soon❤

Yay! Enjoy!!! Thank you!
And it’s on the needles: yay!
@@klaskelangford8324 I hope you love the knit!!!
Love the Pathos Tee....can you see any issues with making the sleeves a bit longer (am mid-70s and not eager to display upper arms!)?
Have a wonderful cruise....I've been up that Inland Passage twice and it is gorgeous....it's raining in Oregon today and cool, so be ready for cooler weather.
Not at all! You could even make them full length if you wish. Happy knitting & thank you! Looking forward to the cooler weather :)
I was wondering about those pleats on the front of your top.....on the sleeves. Is that part of the design?
Yes it is! I think they are so pretty and make for a lovely floaty fit.
Hello from Swansea. Illinois.
hello! Thanks for watching
Interesting that the British thought that shorts and tall socks were cooler than light long pants! But I have to say that showing men's hairy legs would not look business appropriate.
where can i find this pattern
