brilliant my man. I love it. I am a wood worker by hobby and starting to get into metal. 10 lb spoon won't fit it my cheap starter up welder so l will attempt something like this. thanks man. my woodpile looks just like your metal pile and my metal pile is growing quickly. I love when I stumble onto a real shop channel. they are so rare. most channels shops are perfectly organized and pristine. nothing against that it's just not realistic. at lest for me. now that metal is part of my passion I routinely have 6 or 7 different projects going at a time (up from 5 to 6) all requiring deferent tools and material so my shop is constantly a mess and I love it like that. if its clean im not doing enough. I appreciate your get down man. keep it up and scream whenever you want to.
1 year in how is it going now? I want to do this but was worried about the extra strain on the feed motor causing it to fail over time trying to pull the extra weight.
"Where's my hammer?!" (Holds up a screwdriver) "Oh there it is!" You crack me up! Keep up the good humor. Also enjoyed the "who am I kidding... this isn't a safety channel!" Lol

I think there's less drag than the old setup . Most welders use drag to keep the wire from coming of the spool.
