FYI: I Got put on Metformin 20 years ago. I had to figure out on my own that I had PCOS and therefore Insulin Resistance, where 50% of all medical people - and I am one of them, haven't even heard of it. I now have prediabetes.
It effects mtor so you need to factor that in.I use way low dose 500mg 2 times a week and mindful of b1 b12 . I intermittently fast and have lost 6kg in 3wks while physical performance up and pain and inflammation down radically age 61. BW was 110-112kg now 105kg steady no frothy urine in the bowl..like absolutely none.I look forward to the next 10yrs
Thinking to use metformin for inflammation and gut health. I will start slow and I am hoping to lower my inflammation. Carnivorous diet is not working for me

Am worried about metfomin blunting exercise through ampk pathway

I have just tested positive for covid. I might try 1 week on metformin as my wife has a 10 week course left over, From a previous illness
