Better late than never! I adore him because he never shames people unless it's an extreme scenario. He understands how many petstores give false info and bad advice. I think that attitude helps encourage people to call him.

Man I can think of a lot of pet stores in the early 90s that I would visit that sure could've used these type systems to keep water flowing through all the store aquariums. For reasons that are good a lot of them ran each tank separately with each tank being its own system. I've also seen like Aquarium Co op and a few other places run water through all the tanks or atleast the main tanks. Really cool ideas. Anything to not touch buckets when it comes to maintenance lol
I really love they fish room and I really like the idea swimming pool into a fish pond so sweet But in My Country almost impossible to do that.

man this is neat! I've never ever used charcoal in any of my filters just bioballs and filter pads and have never had a issue with smell either. nor do i run uvb in any of my setups

That room is bigger then my house, got 125G tank, with two filters the jewel fitted tank and a JBL 700l externfilter, the bigger the tank, the less work on filtercleaning and waterchange

yes when i said we dont do nothing i meant to the fx5s around the place, just once every 4 months we clean them all :) theres always work to do at the rescue for sure :)

What is your problem??
You don't smell the fish smell because you are used to it. A person who doesn't keep fish entering that room will smell fish tanks and the musk it gives off.
The smell is mostly the humidity anyway
@@leonardotheuseless4188 I don't think you understand humidity and the difference between it and odor molecules. Humidity does not have a smell. It affects smell and intensifies it.
the4re really is no fish smell, everyone always says i thought it would smell like a pet store but it dont smell at all
Facts!
Even so, mild vs strong ya know? Sometimes you can smell stuff like, food right during feeding time and a bit of a leafy smell if there's floating plants, that musky smell is only noticeable when doing filter maintenance or deep cleaning substrate, in a well maintained tank, and Rich is doing better than the average well maintained tank so I'm going to take his word for it.
Also in my experience smelliness tends to be a byproduct of overfeeding.. Easy fix.
They're killing a LOT of the larger fish the past few weeks on purpose because they can't keep up with maintenance! Reaper has told a few people about it and called the humane society about the mean acts.
Hmmm i don’t know about that one. Rich usually trades fish in an out to reduce that issue. I mean you can tell they been getting hit hard the last few weeks with covid, but I don’t genuinely think rich and josh would kill fish inhumanely. They also may know which fish are close to passing away anyways. Some those fish are in old age when they get there. How do you know this though?
Yeah, I'm not sure what you said is right at all... Reaper's been going on rescues non stop. If he thought OFR was guilty of killing big fish 🐠🐟 on purpose, he wouldn't have been going and getting more rescued fish. Occasionally they may have issues with a fish getting ahold of another fish, however that was an unfortunate occurrence. These are wild animals, even if they live in tanks.
