It's definitely not irredeemably bad. On the aesthetic front, it's sculpted well and can only be exemplified by painting it up. The scissors are unique, yes, but I do wish we have an easier way of getting the extra weapons as well besides hunting for many weapon sets or getting it from the 4-pack Tekkadan Set
If you are just a straight ootb builder then I would say stay away from most ibo kits , but if you dont mind and enjoy the work put in to fully realize the potential of the ibo line then look no further . Bandai was definitely going for the affordable cheap route for consumers at that time . I think we were spoiled with all the new things in new and modern kits these days .
It's because we're spoilt with modern engineering that I try to review the older kits and recommend them if I could, IBO kits like the Teiwaz Frames, Valkyrja Frames, and some Gundams like the standard Barbatos and Hajiroboshi among many others are no exception. Though with the Barbatos Rex and Gusion Full City, obvious corners were cut where they shouldn't in order to push the cost and price as low as possible, hence the need to think twice about them or avoid them altogether if not using them for custom builds
What a waste to name it full city xD. I remember seeing that it might have been a translation error from velocity? Still a very nice upgrade and probably had the most satisfying crunch in the last episode.
It's not entirely crap. Like I said, it is alright for custom builds, or if you got it with all of the weapons. But it did undoubtedly have one of the most satisfying moments in Gundam history
Nah it’s not a translation error. It plays off the rebake naming convention as ‘full city’ is a coffee term that means that the coffee has been roasted until the final stages of first crack (or a city roast). Which also plays into the brown and black coffee-esque color scheme that it has going on.
Greetings, MJ2005Gundam, It's me Makoto Yuichi I just wanna say that "11" is one of many gundam frames who has full stickers, So I call this Gusion is, Gusion Rebake Full Stickers
How should be avoided? The giant scissors is satisfying to see when it pose... I recommend getting a Tekkadan Complete Set with its complete loadout once I earned enough from my payroll...
If you're getting it as a stand-alone without the intent to customise it, then it should be avoided. Like I said, either get it for customization or from the set to have all the weapons
with each ibo kits,i cant help but feel bandai skipping out and slacking off especially in terms of color accuracy. But ig the initial designs is a bit too ambitious
bruh wth I ordered one of these today. considering the stickers are mostly white and black, do you think it'd be a good beginner job to paint the parts with acryllics instead of stickering it up?
I'd honestly avoid the entire HG IBO line, it's too much of a hassle, due to the, mostly, poor color separation, instability due to the constant reuse of the frame gimmick, requiring extra work for them to be able to even stand up without falling apart after a few months/years
Not the entire HGIBO line is irredeemably bad honestly. It all depends on the individual kit. Kits like the Graze Frames or the Teiwaz Frames, or even Gundam Frames like the Kimaris variants aren't that bad, but the Full City and Asmoday to name a few are just down there worthy of the stigma
gusion rebake full stickers
😂 yup
Yess,that sticker is stressmaker
Unfortunately true
Just like a cup of coffee in the morning...
Other than the stickers, this kit is very solid even without many accessories
Pretty much why it is alright for other purposes except being itself
Its redeeming factor lies in the fact that it's responsible for wiping that one hated character off the face of the PD timeline 😂😂😂
As a standalone package, there's that going for it
More ibo hg reviews please! Or re-reviews if it applies
More is on the slate
That's unfortunate, this ms look so damn good, looking forward for an mg..
It is a damn shame they put cheap price first and shafted this guy
Perfect moment in 5:36
Idiok Kujan sandwich. Lmao
🤣🤣🤣
Yep, just had to do it
I’ve had this in my backlog but that sticker sheet is very intimidating 😬
It really is. If it's any consolation, they are just numerous and don't look all that bad when applied correctly
Despite its stickers, I think this one is ok for its price. Still call him a sticker hanger though =))) Nice review fam :D
Fair enough. I did say it's okay for a custom build base, so it is good for that purpose if you're buying it standalone
My roommate painted up his - it looks pretty cool, and the scissors are unique.

Literally took this box out of the backlog to build right now and got this notification 😅
Better arm it up with whatever you could
Bought 2 hg heavy arms custom for the gatlings and 1 mg heavyarms ew for the missile pods to put into this guy..
There you go, good basis for a custom build, and raw firepower at that
Im gonna buy this bad boy... and a lot of white paint!!!
If this thing goes well maybe the gusion will look brutal hehe
Good luck painting it

this is my fav mobile suit im so im gonna learn how to handpaint before i get this kit
good luck with that

@@73juro so you are saying that Akihiro might have been a secret coffee enthusiasts? XD

I see... I'll take that as a compliment..
Instead of putting stickers on it would it be better too paint the sticker areas for a better look?
Painting the details in is always better than using the stickers
Those stickers were designed by Iok Kujan.
Perhaps
with each ibo kits,i cant help but feel bandai skipping out and slacking off especially in terms of color accuracy. But ig the initial designs is a bit too ambitious
Like you said, it all depends on whether the design is over ambitious or not
If the IBO kits were made using WfM tech they would be fine imo, especially part layering
bruh wth I ordered one of these today. considering the stickers are mostly white and black, do you think it'd be a good beginner job to paint the parts with acryllics instead of stickering it up?
All things considered, it is absolutely a great vector for painting practice, regardless of the type of paint you use
@@mj2005gundam thanks! gonna try my luck with it when it arrives!
*Clang!*
Crunch!

Imagine naming a gundam "Rebake" and not make it have an oven, wtf Bandai
They did that with the Conque De Venus for the Gaeon, and it didn't work out
"Under roasted" 😂
Had to make a coffee pun since it's named after a coffee
The stickers on this kit are a yikes.
Yeah.. And even if you got past that, the lack of weapons are a worse yikes since you need to hunt down 3 sets of weapons for that
