Hi, I'm so thankful for your channel as you give me so much information. I live in Latvia (next to Russia) so it's pretty cold for most of the year. I'm writing down everything you say. Bless!
Sweet video, nice information, 29 in FL is cool, but that is a warm winter night in AK, short sleeve shirt weather after a few negative nights ... lol Thanks for the video, 👍🦐
Thank you for the info! It generally gets to about 45° Outside in my area at night and a bit chilly in my tank around 55° but good to know that my neo’s can take it
Yes we sell out of neos almost every year during black Friday however this year we are able to meet the demand with some shrimp in the green house we have the other tubs outside as well. There's 3 tubs of orange outside that are nicely stocked but a lot are hiding under the filter and inside the drain spout.
So they actually dont care about temperature that much? In winters where I live, the tank drops down to 53 degrees farenheit, but it stays like that for the entire 3 months so might be a bit dangerous
Extremely interesting topic, thanks a million for the information on how really cold-cardy the Neocaridina shrimp is! Just one remark^ please, balance the sound volume of your video before posting. Most of the time you speak prettly quietly here and than suddenly you started to shriek in the end. It is just very difficult to listen to and my family woken up (I was watching the video in the night)
A big reason why we don't post many videos is we don't have a lot of time especially to edit. We have new sound equipment so hopefully it's better in the future when we do more outdoor videos.
Great information and temp testing on the outdoor tubs. Hopefully those treefrogs are paying room and especially board for the shrimp they are dining on.
I started a shrimp pond earlier this year in my yard in south florida , this video helped me a lot not worry about them freezing to death. Thanks !
Glad to hear!
Dude!!! This is INSANE!! I absolutely love the information you're providing and making shrimp keeping super super simple. I really love seeing this.
Thanks man I've gotten some good examples from your channel

Thank you!
I was just wondering how ur neos outside were doing during the winter
Congratulations 🥳!
Thank you!
Looking good and did you sell a bunch. the orange tub looked low on shrimp and a few others that looked full in the summer. hope your ankle is better.

Insane! Had no idea that neos could live in those temps! Maybe I'll drop some neos in my 50 gal balcony pond
I've heard stories of them crawling under ice in frozen ponds
How do yall catch shrimp to fill orders from those ICB totes? Just a big net to scoop up a bunch and put back what you don't need?
yes we scoop them with a large net and we cull at the time of catching orders

As long as it's not a fast drop or change in temperature they can tolerate really low temps
@@thegardenofederthanks!
How often do you feed at winter?
Every other day however I'm not worried if I skip a day or two
Are these neo caradina ?
Yes they are neo
@@thegardenofeder I’m gonna give this a try! Thanks man! also no heater ?
Those frogs don't eat the shrimp? 🦐🐸
I don't think they are fast enough the shrimp are really quick and get spooked easily
@@thegardenofeder OK, thanks 😎👍
