I think it’s a good thing they divorced for the sake of the family and Ben’s unstable mental health issues and bad decisions. She isn’t perfect but Ben hasn’t been a good partner and father to her children. They had to split to work on their selves (especially Ben). They remained close friends and coparents, so it’s evident that it was amicable.

+BMS you're spot on about most shoes but there are a lot of comfortable clothes for women, not to mention societies double standard has made it okay for women to wear menswear or clothing inspired by menswear. Just look at Janelle Monae.
+BMS Not sure who you're replying to but I'm a girl & I don't wear skirts, dresses or heels. The heels is purely because they're uncomfortable & I feel like your feet shouldn't be forced into that position. As for skirts & dresses, in school I had to wear them as part of my uniform but they weren't uncomfortable I just wasn't comfortable in them because I couldn't sit whichever way I wanted & because I felt forced into wearing them because I wasn't given the option of wearing pants. However the stuff I do buy is comfortable & I shop in both departments. The one thing I've noticed is that menswear is generally better quality. If a girl buys into the image the media sells her she's going to be uncomfortable in clothing because chances are she'll wear heels, make up etc. but I don't buy into that so I don't do unhealthy things in terms of wearing clothes that affect my body. As for the rest, there are many comfortable pants, shirts, jackets & coats in the women's department. Just a matter of finding what you like.
+BMS And I went to prom (we don't call it that here though) & the silly dress I wore was very comfortable actually & I've done plays where I've had to wear dresses & skirts & it was only uncomfortable where corsets were involved.

Screwed into a metal corset that shifted the placement of your ribs? That you wore for hours just for a couple of photographs taken in the first 10 minutes? Smh at the stupid crap people put themselves through for the sake of beauty.
It's not done for beauty, it's done for work. Besides, she's exaggerating to be funny. The ribs aren't shifted, bc she'd injure them if that was the case. But the corset is worn to properly hold up the fabric and enhance the look of its contouring. The fact she agreed is bc she was advertising the dress & the brand. All these actresses wear these expensive, donated dresses & in exchange for it, the brand specifies how they want their fashion piece presented. Naomi Campbell hates makeup, but she wears it bc she gets paid to do her job as a model. Haven't you ever done something you hated for your job, but had to do it simply bc it's what's expected as part of your line of work? Well this is their line of business. And luckily we got a cute, endearing story out of it told by the lovely Jennifer. I mean, you only have to look at her laughter & excitement at telling the story, to know the situation wasn't really that bad or that serious. But of course, there's always gotta be one debbie downer in the comment section.

are under to look 'perfect' all the time no matter that she's 43 with 3 children.
Yet her ex Ben & male actors get away with only being 'buffed up' for a movie role then they're allowed to put on weight
& not held to the same standard. Channing Tatum is a perfect example as most of the time he looks like Mr potato head.
Male actors are pressure to bulk up, it's the exact same thing
Josiah Johnson they said that, but in between roles they aren’t pressured to stay in perfect shape like women are, who also have to be able to give birth and have their bodies “bounce back” to their pre-pregnancy shape too.
So glad to see Jennifer laughing and having fun like this- her story was such a riot and -loved how she so naturally laughed when the audience paused at first when he held up her photo- she's really quick and funny- she was able to relay her true feelings laughing at herself looking sooo glamorous yet it wasn't without pain and awkward bathroom moments - I was dying laughing - she managed to tell all this in a sweet lady like way that had everyone laughing- with her and her timing was terrific - it was delightful and funny!

I'm glad celebrities are being more open about this! Girls need to know that these celebrities aren't all perfect, and you do NOT need to look like the red carpet to be beautiful. It's also nice to educate men on what some women do just to be presentable. Tina Fey also spoke about shapewear on Lettermen- even less invasive things like spanks are still heavily encouraged in society for women to look polished and proper. Yes, women have the choice to use them, but there's certain unspoken expectations you'd be obtuse not to realize exist.
