Music is a universal language.
41 years old and still as fresh and timeless as the day it was recorded...brilliant 🥰
Aaahh man I love the Almighty Disco era 😍
This brings back memories from the 80s and my younger days. Bless you, Luther, and all the others that have gone before us.
I rang in New Year's 1983 {Dec 31 1982} dancing to this song at a party with fun people.... LOVED it... first heard it in New Orleans at Halloween '82 at a costume party. One of the greatest dance songs ever recorded
Les frissons que procure la voix du grand Luther Vandross...... Indescriptible 🎤❤️
Qui chante comme lui aujourd'hui ? Que des tocards
D'accord a 100 pour 100...
R.I.P. Luther. Your inspirational songs and that God given talent will never be forgotten. Music fans the world over could listen to & appreciate Luther's magnificent voice for many years to come. I know I will! God bless you, my friend!
A great, great talent, never to be duplicated.
Awesome talent. Wonderful voice. A wonderful brother R.I.P. Luther you will truly be missed.
This song is magical
Luther once said, (as a producer) when he listens to any vocalist, the main thing he listens for, is “tone”. He said, “Tone is everything”.
He should know.
Timeless music, is the sound of Change.
I get nostalgic when cold weather starts to arrive. I adore Luther Vandross & spent many glorious dancing to this album. They don''t make music like this anymore!
The Change group is an all-ITALIAN project. The project was attended by the composer, multi-instrumentalist and arranger Mauro Malavasi and the musicians also composers and arrangers Paolo Gianolio (guitar) and Davide Romani (bass).
Não sabia que era um projeto Itáliano! Mas com Luther Vandros nós vocais tinha que ser toppppp, maravilhoso!
and Jacques Fred Petrus is Italian too... ok bb
And it wouldn't have been shit without black voices my guy
Funny never took Luther Vandross as an Italian dude, learn something new every day
@@nasirabdullatif I'm talking about the founding musicians of the Change group, the same as the BBQ band
Luther is glowing loudly
Was he part of Change?
@@AmirKhan-yv8jm who ?? the guy that sang on Bionic Boogie with Gregg Diamond.......the song "Hot Butterfly" ?? definitely
@@RichArd-hi4yv I mean Luther Vandross
@@RichArd-hi4yv I meant to ask if Luther Vandross was part of change?
@@AmirKhan-yv8jm indeed he was......the unknown talent.......also check out Hot Butterfly which I said about It's him also before he became famous from around the same period of time.......the Disco era.......it's equally as good
I saw them with Earth, Wind and Fire in Providence, RI in 1981. They were both awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did Luther sing Lead??? I know he did "Never Too Much" during this same time-
Wow that would have been an AMAZING show to witness! Lucky you I'm jelly.
What a fab show that must have been.
Lucky!
@@sofumba The credits list him and Jocelyn Shaw 👍
The follow up single from their debur A Lovers Holiday, this was the first time many people took notice of Luther Vandross as a singer, this song gave him the exposure he richly deserved
did you ever hear Hot Butterfly from Bionic Boogie......from around the same era.......Luther sings that as well........equally as good
As cool and refreshing on a summer night, as a Sprite on ice!! I was playing this on the radio and at discos 40 bloody years ago! Where has the time gone?
We are all gifted to hear such naturally talented voice like Luther’s god I miss his music 🙌🏻💙
How could you thumbs down? Close your eyes and imagine your grandma or the little ones in your life dancing to this.......
YES MATE YOU KNOW
Right!
People who thumb this down are likely not functioning members of civilized society.
What a tune 👌 brings back memories of stanta posa ,pj in ireland 🇮🇪
So Much memories
Luther is the best male vocalist of my generation. His humble beginnings with Change open doors for him and he became a master at his craft . Rip Luther, your beautiful voice will shine on for eternity 🤘🏿
Well said, his work with Change gave us some of the best dance songs of the era.
So disco wasn't dead after all
Luther Vandross was born to sing; he was a true artist. What a singer! What impressed me the most is his capabilities to harmonize in every song he made, Disco, Funky,, whatever! Whatever he touched was made with art and was musically perfect.
RIP Mr Luther Vandross
No doubt about it.
Yesssss.
la qualità di questa musica stupisce pensando che era un brano da ballare. Ma se guardate la composizione di questo gruppo Vi stupirete sono dei grandi professionisti al servizio della musica. Grandi.
MAURO MALAVASI - DAVIDE ROMANI - PAOLO GIANOLIO ORGOGLIO ITALIANO
J'ai beau écouté les musiques actuelles, je me dis que rien ne pourra effacer le funk des années 1970 et 1980. C'est juste le TOP
Brings me a very good memories...chance and Luther the best
The song that had dance floors moving I miss these times the world was different
you are not wrong
I'm in
Definitely
I miss it two
Bruce Pain
Everything was great back then!!!
Today the world is turned upside down “HOW SAD” 😞
Still listening in August 2020. Two words: The Hustle
AMAZING. One of the best designed songs in the world.
Luther said that song was the Best he had ever sang.
I understand why
Absolutely beautiful to hear Change and Luther together...
For me, this is not the best song from Change, but this combination is "WOW"...
...that voice doubling that was replicated by James "D-Train" Williams many times...
And what can we say... Luther Vandross... that's enough.
@@marceloribeirosimoes8959 He absolutely KILLED 'Searchin' on this Album too!!!!
Luther brought it on every song he sang. He likely said this because this was his breakthrough song, so to speak. I personally think his vocals on A House Is Not a Home or Superstar are him at his very best.
@@fantasyguru26 YESSSSSS!!! "A House is Not a Home" is my FAV from his ballads......
Maybe he talked about the lyrics and not the the whole song.
Luther kills here but the production is sublime. Perfect giddy grooves of pure joy. Never ages... R.I.P. LV your magic lingers my badd.
Luthers Vocals and a love for all things funky brought me here!
This music is timeless just makes you feel good
true music worth listening too
When I hear this music I always feel good

Everything was just so much fun back then you didn’t have a worry in the world🙂

What a tune, sounds great in 2020 and will sound as good in 2030 😀👌😀
This song cheers me up love luthers voice pure class.
Love this tune. Janet Jackson used this tune for " all for you".
Yeah, I did not like that. Whether you give credit to the original artist or not.
@@ash27slick74 whats wrong with sampling things that influence you?
@@Solodolo84 Nothing. But this is superior to Janet Jackson's All For You.
Also the rap duo Black Sheep for "Strobelight Honey"👍
And the hook from Shannon's "Let The Music Play",but not the original melody. That said, I was looking FOREVER for this song
Miss him so much , will always love him
