      You'd be surprised lol when I was 17 in college we had an 18yr old student who donated blood and he argued with this science teacher about the colour of blood the teacher had no argument after he pointed out that his blood is still red after several minutes of being on the machine and that said blood hasn't touched any air

    Actually, your blood is a purplish maroon color. It still has oxygen on it (so not blue) but not enough to make it red. Unless your a doctor or getting blood drawn you will never see low oxygen bloods true color. Also some of your blood is already red in your body (all the arteries in your body contain high oxygen blood) so it is already red.

    The gravitational pull on the the ISS where you showed footage from, is practically identical to the pull on the surface. The only reason "there is no gravity in" ORBIT, not space, is because you're falling faster horizontally than you're falling vertically. Therefore never experiencing acceleration. (Not exactly true. But its easier than explaining phantom forces)

    • @Guinnessian
      @Guinnessian 7 років тому

      You are absolutely right, Jon. What the ISS is experiencing is 'micro-gravity' due to the fact it is actually in a freefall towards earth, but due to its speed it wont ever hit the ground. The uploaders statement of 'It is a lie that there is no gravity in space' is debatable as to you first need to define 'space' .
      The only people who has been in a zero gravity condition are the few that has had a trip to the moon. Everybody else has had a micro-gravity experience

    • @KartondonCoder
      @KartondonCoder 7 років тому

      Guinnessian
      Indeed, but why the moon trip? Because they left the earths sphere of influence. At least the stronger part of it?

    • @sylve2474
      @sylve2474 7 років тому

      Guinnessian the moon has gravity, so no, nobody has experienced zero gravity. the moons gravitational levels are just very low. if the moon didn't have gravity, then you would just float of into space, and even then, there wouldn't be zero gravity because you'd be floating towards a gravitational pull.

      WOWsoAmaze Hmmmm, what about polychristalline diamonds? They have been formed by meteorites striking coal fields, and using the coal as a source of carbon to make tiny diamonds. Also the fact you can have tinted diamonds shows they contain other trace elements, and some times they are not 100% pure carbon. Carbon is carbon? Why is graphite not worth as much as diamond, isnt it almost pure carbon too?

    Coal is primarily, by a large extend, carbon - so yes, diamonds are made from coal, or can be. As plant matter dies, or decays, some of it can form coal, using mostly the carbon. As time goes on, more and more rocks are added to the surface from channels that allow lava to flow up. As more rocks are added to the top, more of the crust moves down to continue a circulatory cycle of the planets crust. So, as coal moves down, which it usually isnt coal at this point, its new, highly condensed form, mixes in with the mantel and the carbon gets turned into diamonds

    Einstein never failed math. He was schooled in Germany where a 1 is the best grade you can get and 5 is the worst. He then moved to Sweden where a 5 is best you can and a 1 is the lowest. Therefore the "Einstein failed math"theory came to life.

    actually astronauts only "experience" no gravity. this is because the shuttle is flying fast enough with enough inertia to not fall to the earth and crash. The shuttle is actually continuously falling when in orbit. But the forward inertia causes the astronauts to experience weightlessness.

    There is gravity in space. The reason astronauts don't feel it is not because they are in space or they are so far away the gravity is much less but because they are continually falling to earth. They only stay up there because they are orbiting the planet so in effect the ground moves away at the same speed as they approach it.
    Remember the guy who went up to the edge of space in a balloon? His speed over the ground was more or less zero so when he stepped off the platform he dropped straight down. Until he met any resistance to his fall from the atmosphere he was weightless like the astronauts. Its known as free fall.
    Weightlessness does not mean no (or low) gravity.

However, the taste buds thing we were told about and we got to taste things and the teacher was like, "Notice how you can you can only taste the sour on [insert place on tongue]" and the other kids were like, "Yeeeeeah". What you've said at 2:20 about there being a little bit of gravity in deep space is correct, but showing footage of an astronaut floating about in a space capsule close to the Earth is misleading! On Earth, our acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 m/s^2, or "1 g". At the international space station, the acceleration due to gravity is about 0.89 g or 89% of what we experience on Earth, which is about 8.7 m/s^2. This gravity is significant, and it keeps the ISS in orbit around the earth. Without this gravity, the ISS would be travelling in a straight line off into space. The Astronauts are experiencing 'freefall' not 'zero gravity'. In other words, they are still being accelerated by gravity towards the earth, but the craft around them is falling at exactly the same rate, so there is no relative motion between the astronaut and the spacecraft.

  • @matthirten13
    @matthirten13 8 років тому

    The gravity being weaker in space is not the reason for the "zero gravity" myth... it's because both the astronaut and the spacecraft are in a state of continuous free fall, and so, they are just being affected at about the same rate.

Hope this is helpful :)

    the thing with Einstein is he actually had the grade "5" in maths. Tha's would be an F. But he went to school in switzeland and the grade system there is a little different sooo a "5" is acually an "A" there.

    Coal is almost pure carbon, therefore intense pressure on large quantities of coal for a very long time would indeed create diamonds.

    Your explanation of no gravity is quite bad. It is very easy to assume from what you say that this is why people at the space station float. While 90% of earths gravity is present at the height of the space station, you'd feel very little difference. If they could hit the brakes they'd fall down to earth just like anything.

    • @harrisluo5818
      @harrisluo5818 7 років тому

      Exactly. Think about how the Earth's gravity affects the moon which is much more massive and much further away.

    • @ashleyking383
      @ashleyking383 7 років тому

      Exactly! They don't "feel" the gravity because they are essentially freefalling because of the speed of the iss. This guy made it sound like its because there's less gravity.... which is the exact thing he was trying to disprove lol

    This isn't the first time I come across this 'blue blood' belief whilst online, But I have never met anyone in person who was ever taught that nonsense. So I came to the conclusion that this is provably just a big hoax.
    Anyway, If you were ever really taught that, the first thing you need to do now is sue the institution that did. And if you ever believed such stupidity, you should sue yourself (and if you're too afraid of suing yourself, I'll sue you!).
