Nani Sir just killed it,....& nothing to say about Sai Pallavi maam, she is just amazing with her performance. Why hasn't a Bengali dubbed version of this film been made? It would have been a hit. Nani and Sai Pallavi's fans do exist here in Bengal also.
Frankly dubbed version will spoil the essence. SSR character should know Telugu and Bengali. Now to dub they will have to change SSR character to Bengali man who knows Telugu. But by that theme will be spoiled.

@@siliguri-to3uc Yes, but in the movie Shayam Singh Roy and Rosy are Telugu native who stays in Bengal. And the their part in thr movie is focused on Bengal. So they need to change all that. Otherwise that non native appeal will miss. If by chance you have seen Chandramukhi,in the Tamil Chandramukhi is from Andhra who was brought by the king to Tanjavur and she speaks only Telugu. Even entire song was in Telugu. But in dubbed version it was changed to Tamil. Even the song was in Tamil. When two languages point will be made then makers should focus on vice versa while dubbing.
This movie is style over substance but that attracts masses... A film like chorus will not attract or a ghare baire... Where a zamindar bats for his peasents.... We need imaginary characters like gold and SSR to boost ourselves when so many real charachters have walked this land who were icons of purest forms of protest and enlightenment.
Had it been a bollywood Or tollywoid (telegu version) our khudiram Or surjo sen Or bagha jatin would have been stylized into a superman of sorts. But our penchant for realism has only made a boring storytelling a virtue, while admiring the stylized version made by other industries. Whether it is dhaka Or kolkata.. Films like rupsa nodir banke by tanvir mokammel Or chorus by mrinal sen will only be relegated to the background. There is a hypocrisy around it.
This movie should be dubbed in Bengali as well as hindi there are a lot of Sai and Nani's fans in North also

I am a Telugu, but was a Delhi University grad. I have a special spot for Bengalis, had most sweetest Bengali friends. But I hate Hindians for their arrogance, who expects us to forego our mother tongues and learn their language Hindi. If we do that, it will be the same situation like in Bengal and Maharashtra where Marathi and Bengalis movies don't get screens over Hindi movies in their own states. Hindi eats up others like it did Maithili, Bhojpuri etc. We respect it but it is never above our mother tongues.
