I just learn crocheting for three days because I want to make baby necessities for my bestie's newborn baby, and your tutorial for this loafers really easy to follow! Even though I messed up with the counting here and there, but it's easily adjusted and the result is still so cute! Thank you so much! I will follow your others crochet for babies' tutorial! Hopefully I can send my bestfriend a full set baby hampers! 😃

Was wondering if anyone can tell me suggestions when using I love this cotton yarn. I’ve attempted using less chains and the smallest hook I have 2.5mm and it still comes out really big. Would like to make for 0-6 month old.

If you know the basics and comfortable doing shoes for babies you'd find her pattern easy than other baby loafers pattern out there... others pattern here in yt is more complicated hehe... i just kindly suggest you put the pattern on the screen so they can keep up to you 😊

Tried making these lol! You should have indicated that someone has to be using exactly the same needle size and yarn size for this project otherwise those using big needles and threads wouldn’t be able to get this right
Love these would need sizes for a 2+ years if that’s possible

Is anybody else having trouble with Rnd 2? The part where you put 2dc in the next 5 sts doesn’t align with the 5 dc (in the same st) from the previous round as she points out in the video. I also followed the written pattern and I have the same problem. I really love these loafers baby shoes and I want to make it.

If you are single crocheting the 66 stitches throgh the back stitch and into the front of the next stitch shouldn't you end up with 33 stitches to start your 2 rounds of double crochet??

In your written pattern, you wrote that you have a total of 38 stitches on the 1st row. But if I count 2 + 14 + 5 + 14 + 2 = 37
Did you write 38 because you count with the slip stitch?
I just realized that you counted the slip stitch.
I want to make a correction to your written pattern.
In row 2 you wrote 2hdc in next stitch, while what you do in the video is "1hdc in next 2 sts".

Sandy you can start with a smaller numbers of chains. Maybe 2 chains less?

What is the length of the sole? Coz when i made it was very long. Not the length of a baby's foot

It's probably because the type of the yarn you used? I used polyester for trial and it's the size of at least 3-9 months baby's feet. Or you can keep making it until the sole's back stitch, when I tried to make the sole it's also looked like it's too big for baby feet, but when I came to that part and the double crochetings the next 2 rounds it kept getting smaller and then it turned out like a size of baby feet. 😃
