Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. You can access it here: www.patreon.com/posts/stroller-buyers-37953864 As an independent, consumer-oriented reviewer, we have fewer revenue-streams open to us than the majority of other channels out there, so we do ask for a small donation for access to this guide (as well as a free consultation and access to our other Patreon content). I try to be conservative and look at 'optimal' comfort with seat measurements (following height charts, and with the Donkey in particular, thinking width), but my own kids were just fine in the donkey past 3 yrs old as well - it's an awesome stroller. :)
Hi we bought the donkey 3 for our twins because of your reviews and we love it pushes like a dream thank you 😊 I just wanted to ask if the grey melange seat fabric is better than the black fabric ? I've seen alot of faded black fabric and I'm thinking about getting the grey colour because of it
I was going back and forth between this an the uppababy vista v2. I've decided I'm not paying this much for a stroller that will most likely be busted after a year or so of use and will be opting for the V2.
Had my bugaboo donkey for 3 years and never had an issue used it for my twins. I think the folding part is the only issue I have with it as it requires more steps than the Vista 2. Both at similar entry price if we compare the Vista v2 with donkey mono complete. I reckon both as good comes down to personal preference
Get a used one, my toddler hated sitting facing me in the tandem stroller so it didnt get used at all (he just refused to sit in IT leading to lots of tantrums). Bought a used donkey for 200 dollars, and its awesome. Way more customizable and my toddler likes sitting in it Also its a nightmare to turn and get over curbs. I love my tandem as a single though
I bought a used donkey and I love IT, its the older modell with air tires, but honestly I think the airtires just make it better. Do you know if the donkey 3 model basket is compatible with this modell? Part of the reason I got IT so cheap is that it was missing the side basket Also, the telescopic handle feels a little flimsy and makes some strange sounds on the right side a little bit when I put weight on it (to get onto a bus for instance). Should I go get that looked at?
The basket is compatible :) You should tighten the screws holding the handle to the arms and also take the caps off the central hub and tighten there as well, like in this video: ua-cam.com/video/6dvXkRSRyHY/v-deo.html
seems like a great stroller, I just cant justify the insane price. Its as much as a used car 🤣 whats the most you recommend buying one for second hand? Considering it wears down a bit over the years
Certainly not more than half the price of the new basic package (and not giving any extra for extra equipment) - the guarantee is worth a lot with this model :)
Should I buy bugaboo donkey 3 twin new or should I buy bugaboo donkey 2 twin used for around one year, included mosquito net, car seat adapters, and pram pack for 13500 kr?
Just found out I having twins! Is this the stroller you would sugest for twins or would a different model be better? I need some terrain capability but don't want anything too big and cumbersome
I use to sell the bugaboo donkey a lot in Babies r us. A lot of people wanted it because their twins can be side by side instead of on top of each other and its just a few inches wider than other bugaboo strollers and I just found out its just a couple of inches wider than the uppababy vista v 2. Some people use to come back to the store and would thank me for selling them on this stroller and they would also want to buy the accessories too. Im now pregnant with my first child and although I haven't even looked at a bugaboo stroller since babies r us closed down, I want and will be ordering this stroller in a week. Babies r us use to send us to work shops to learn about bugaboo strollers, and that's the only company in my store that use to train us on this item. No other company use to let us go to work shops or come in to train us on how to actually work the stroller. So since my first training me and 3 other coworkers said that we would get a bugaboo if we ever had kids... its my turn and im the last one. Im excited. I hope this helps you!
Love your channel! Really informative! In comparing the Donkey2 to the Donkey3, do you think the upgrades like the wheels and the maneuverability on the donkey 3 warrant buying the new full price 3 over the 2 on sale. Do you think the 3 compromises any of its build /sturdiness in the frame or wheels in order to be a bit lighter? I'm honestly lost between the two models and can't go anywhere to try it out in person during lockdown. Thanks so much!
Thanks, Glad you like the channel. :) I dont feel that the Donkey 3 is really better or worse as a result of changes than the Donkey 2, so the best is just to buy it as cheaply you can find, with the very important note of buying new, and from somewhere where you can effectively use your guarantee rights for as long as possible. The Donkey is great, but it does tend to wear down pretty hard over time. :)

My 5 yo fits comfortably in our donkey 3. He is small for his age but definitely not 3yo small
We LOVE our donkey

Great video! The absolute best in-depth info on youtube stroller reviews.
Any chance you will review the donkey 5 review? Or are the mechanics for the donkey 3 the same? I only noticed the folding button location change.
Great video, I just can’t get over how low it is. It’s like pushing a dolly’s pram. Really puts me off even though I love the sleek look.
I can only find the donkey 5 now in Canada ..do you know IF same quality as the 3?????
can u do a video of the donkey vs. the mountain buggy duet for twins? both have the ability to face seats towards parents
Sure, we plan to revisit Mountain Buggy at some point in the future and I'll keep this one in mind. :)

I cant decide donkey mono or fox i live in Canada so both very close to each price

Can the donkey (2017) nuna pipa adapter be used with this model?

In my country this one cost same as any other Bugaboo. You pay for quality and brand of course. I will definitely invest in one
Not where i live used cars are 5 k and up ,plus insurance,GAS , and repairs

New. At that price, these extras aren't worth the loss of guarantee, in my opinion, especially with the Donkey, which tends to wear down a bit hard.
