    After owning both of these gloves for a couple years now, one of the things I absolutely love about my Winnings is how much tighter the hand compartment is. My C17’s are a 16oz and don’t fit my hands nearly as snuggly as my 18oz Winnings.
    That being said, if you can’t get Winnings for whatever reason -buy the C17’s.

      Fair statement.

      how do you rate the hand compartment of the 16oz or 18oz winnings? I am about 5'6" i fight at 160 and my hands are avg sized and fit perfectly in 16oz everlast laceup powerlocks. I am worried that if i get 16oz winnings theyll be too big for my hands and i wont be able to open palms to catch and parry punches

      I don’t think they’ll be too big.

      You won't regret it. My brother's ring to cage. Came in and I helped him lace his gloves. I'm not going to lie, I do agree with him with the lining, not soft, but still nice. Can't complain the price

      Update. I got a red pair and a white pair of C17s both 16oz they held of remarkably for bag work, pad work, and sparring. I do mostly Muay Thai and kickboxing for context so these gloves are also great for blocking kicks

    Coach you are right. My right knuckle on my pinky was blistered after using them. Also the C17 2.0 16 oz velcro seem wider than the c17 2.0 16 oz laces.

      I like both. TopBoxer slightly more comfortable because of softer inside lining. I imagine some people may prefer the R2C because it has more feedback when you hit the bag.

      if you want small, try girl gloves. rival makes some. or just use 14oz. or order custom made gloves from TopBoxer, they can make for different hand sizes

    I've tried those c17s, I think i've even told you about them like 5 years ago and you said meh they are winning rip offs haha
    Personally, overall I don't like them. Because after using Casanovas, you realize Ring to Cage have almost zero wrist protecting and less knuckle protection. I hurt my hands several times in those, working on the heavy bag. Now, I'd say they are good for sparring, and the lining is super soft comparing to Casanovas lining. I'd not recommend them though. For the same price you can buy better gloves

    • @frankthetank1993
      @frankthetank1993 3 роки тому

      Is Casanova more protective than the c17s? I’ve been looking to get a pair of Mexican gloves but on the more protective side

    • @MishaElRusito
      @MishaElRusito 3 роки тому +3

      @@frankthetank1993 definitely. I got all my Russian friends hooked on Casanova back in the day haha. The lining might be too rough but you can hit a brick wall in Casanovas and feel no impact on your hands. The wrist protection so good, your wrist almost don't bend. They are now called Necali by the way. The price is affordable also and great customer service. Back in the day I had no money, i sent them an email and they offered me gloves with some minor defects (mostly in coloring) for half a price. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Get the laced ones though.

    Now I just received two pair of 16oz c17 “ring to cage”. And we will see how good they are ,one are for bag work and the other for sparing. My first impression of the glove was not that good, feels kind of cheap. There are made of leather though. They don’t feel so safe for your sparing partner, compared to my “Ringside IMFtec “gloves, that I can highly recommend.
    One thought that stroke me is that you have had those gloves for two years . But you also owns more gloves so apparently you have not used the gloves as one can assume. But now ,time will tell how good they are.

    Okay i got my 12 oz blue laced ring to cage 2.0
    Phenomenal. First I would like to say I have tough dry skin hands lol so the inside lining feels excellent to me. It does not bother me at all. Second, I would say these glove fit me perfectly. I have thick small hands, I'm 5'8 and I prefer a snug glove and these are awesome. I would compare the snug fell to Rival FRX guerro but probably even snugger, but very similar comfort levels. Protection is awesome like too notch. The thumb feels good no pinching. Craftsmanship is top notch, stitching, leather, all top notch.
    Only things I would improve on....
    1) step up leather quality a bit and tighter leather
    2) the cuff patch should be rubber like winning
    3) laces could be better quality. I would honestly say waxed hockey laces would be decent choices and I may try is myself.
    But for 139.99 all in (CAD), these are an absolute no Brainers. Most Canadian gyms should be buying these to sell as their gym gloves. If I ever open up a gym I most Def will be.
    Last note: these are not winning gloves so don't expect that level expect a top notch glove like hayabusa or Rival Guerrero or cleto reyes, but don't compare it to winning, grants, fly.
