Watched as many reviews as I could and had intentions of getting the ethos. Headed to Lancaster, shot everything and then picked up the Ethos and boom! Immediately fell in love. It’s a pleasure to shoot. The draw, zero shock, the speed… immediately said yes!

@@phillyspecial2506 lol, that shit made me hate Mathews but I finally broke down and bought a Traverse. I have PSE, Prime and Bowtech currently. I was just at the bow shop and it sounds like this years Mathews is going to be 🔥. I’m hearing they’ll have a 55# peak weight mod which is up my alley. I drew back the Ethos. Rough going compared to the Bowtech SS34 which is Cadillac smooth.

@@HuWhiteNat I use to be a die hard Mathew’s fanboy. Sticker on my truck and everything. I shoot a Hoyt now and I’ve also got an obsession that I really love to shoot. I been eying the bow tech solution SS or cp28. I’ve never shot an elite. I’ve heard great things about them though.

    • @HuWhiteNat

@@phillyspecial2506 I’m not loyal to any of them because I shop based on specs and new tech. I love the Bowtech grip. Elite’s is very good to. Mathews’ grip is shite. I like 33 to 34” axle to axles with at least 6.5 inches of brace height. I favor smooth and forgiving over speed. I’ll buy from whoever makes a bow that checks my boxes.

I've been holding out for this bow. a 33-34" Envision-like bow. With my 26" draw length, I think the Kairos (shorter draw sister) is a better choice for me. I love how this year Elite has released two top-tier bows Ethos/Kairos with the same riser and basic specs, but with just different cams to aim for different draw length ranges. Thanks for great reviews!

I have an Omnia and never had any rubbing issues but have seen ppl who have had the issue at the shop. I have noticed the Omnia is very grip sensitive. The ethos is a very good bow but I preferred the kairos at my draw length as I’m at 28.5” so I’m closer to the top of the cam and got better speeds. Another awesome review!

I bought the omnia about 2 weeks ago because of what you said on the review of it . I shot it and loved it so much they say it’s a worlds most suitable bow and the best hunting bow and I can tell you right now I agree 110% with that. They had the ethos at the shop and I also shot that and it was very hard to choose between the 2 but I still think the omnia overall is very hard to beat and elite is gonna have to really really step it up to ever in my opinion beat the omnia .

@@rwhite7361 dude it’s awesome . The only issue that I may slightly be having is that full drawl. My cable is like literally a millimeter or two away from my cam, but it doesn’t affect my shot at all and that can be fixed very easy. I think I’m just nitpicking, but I have mindset at like 77% let off and it is so smooth. Coming from a bear legit this was a MAJOR upgrade. I will definitely be shooting elite for a very, very long time.

Over a month into archery. Started off with diamond as my starter. Was going to buy my friend mathew v3x with everything he had installed on there for a thousand. His cat got ahold of his dloop and strings. He recommended me replacing the strings. So he knocked a 100 off. The shop said the strings were 200. Saw an elite omnia with a 5 pin engage sight original price on lancaster archery was 319. Marked down to 199. An 8 inch elite stabilizer a little over a 100 and a qad elite rest which was 169. This bow was last years model and it has no scratches or scuffs. It was 899 for everything and i paid 961 after taxes. Got it two days ago. Absolutely love it.

My guess is Bowtech will release right after Halloween. I am guessing the following:
    1) A 33 axle to axle carbon bow, but they will still keep the Carbon One from last year too, giving a shorter and longer axle to axle carbon offering. My guess is they will use the Carbon One riser and put together some type of funky extension of the riser to get the axle to axle longer rather than take on the cost of a totally new riser. I bet they put time lock on this 33 inch carbon bow but not grip lock because that is difficult with the carbon.
    2) My guess is a 33 inch aluminum speed bow that will include an integrated sight mount (for Black Gold since Bowtech and Black Gold are owned by same company). Time lock and grip lock will be on this bow too.
    3) My guess is they will offer a 30-31 inch aluminum smooth bow with the integrated sight mount and time lock/grip lock.
Not sure if they will keep the SS34 in the lineup or not. If not, hopefully the 33 inch aluminum bow will go to 30.5 or 31 inches of draw. Concerned about that honestly. If they don't keep the SS34 in the lineup, they won't be offering a longer a to a smooth bow, that would be a mistake in my humble opinion.
My guess is the integrated sight system will be very nice, better than Mathews, but probably a downer for those who already have a $500 Spot Hogg or HHA system. But one can surely see what Bowtech would try to drive all of their customers to Black Gold. My gut tells me that Bowtech won't hit any homers this year.......just a guess. :)

In 2024 they have adjusted the mod offerings out of the factory so that all bows that come with SP cams will get the performance Mod (OMNIA, ERA, ETHOS), and all bows that some with the SPX cam get the Smooth Mod. (Verdict, Allure, Kairos). 75 percent let off mod is always an option

@@BackyardBows I’d like to be wowed and this bow fell a little short for me. I’m not really interested in a stiff draw cycle, I just don’t feel it’s necessary anymore. I realize I could switch to comfort mods, but that requires me to purchase something else on a flagship bow. Talking about cable rub and cam lean gave me flashbacks to the Elites of 10 years ago. I’m sure it’s a decent bow, but there just wasn’t anything that made me really want it. /shrug

It’s not the bow that needs to be timed and tuned for broadheads. You need a tuned bow with a bare shaft tuned arrow. Technically, all heads of the same weight should be very close from there.

Flex tuning arrows does quite a bit too. Matt from Texas has a good video explaining it. He gets a bullet hole then shoots 4 or 5 different weight heads on the same arrow, and gets a perfect bullet hole with each of them.
