A 75 years old female had a background history of metastatic carcinoma of thyroid with multiple secondaries. She sustained a pathological fracture of distal humerus due to spread of cancer in elbow, about 6 months back and her quality of life was deeply compromised due to pain .
It was a surgical and anesthetic challenge given her clinical condition and significant comorbidities.
She underwent Custom made Total Elbow Replacement and is very pleased with the outcome of surgery. Her post-operative period was smooth, she has regained adequate function and pain relief postoperatively. The patient was discharged on 2nd post-operative day from the Hospital.
