    I do your lessons and then the whoolle day my brain is processing what you said. When you started with 닫다..all i can say is..my brain explooded! I was like i don't understand a thing he's saying lol
    Then later on I thought, ok lets try another actiom verb. I thought 먹어 있어...then i thought someone cant stay in the state of eating forever..thats impossible lol and 먹다 can have an object..so it makes sense to say 먹고 있어요
    and hence I convinced myself and totally understood the lesson
    Thank You

    I'm having a bit of trouble with this. Would it be sufficient to just use the regular ~요 form in some of these cases (depending on the context)? Like the difference between "a mech is standing (and still standing)" vs "a mech stands" seems very specific to me.

    • @GoBillyKorean
      @GoBillyKorean  3 роки тому +1

      You can say "a mech stands (up) twice a day" using 서요, but not just "a mech stands" or it's vague - in English as well as Korean. This form is necessary to convey that it's already standing up - 서 있다, vs just generally standing (서요).

    빌리 선생님, 이 문장 어떻게 다른지 설명해주실래요?

    “김치 냉장고에 많이 남았다”

      한국어 원어민으로써 제 느낌을 말씀드립니다.
      참고로 전 한국어 문법을 거의 몰라요.
      빌리씨 영상을 통해 배우는 중입니다.
      1. 김치 냉장고에 많이 남아있어요. : (무엇인지는 모르겠지만) 지금 남아있음.
      만약 "김치 냉장고에 치즈가 많이 남아있어요"로 썼다면, 지금 당장 김치냉장고 문을 열었을 때 치즈가 많이 보이는 모습이 상상됩니다.
      2. 김치 냉장고에 많이 남았어요. : (무엇인지는 모르겠지만) 지금 혹은 과거에 남아있음.
      만약 "김치 냉장고에 치즈가 많이 남았어요"로 썼다면, 얼마 전에 김치냉장고 문을 열었을 때 치즈가 많이 보였지만 지금 어떨지는 잘 모릅니다. 현재 치즈가 그대로 남아있을 수도 있지만, 누군가 치즈를 다 가지고 갔을지도 모르는 거죠.

      '남아 있다'는 현재의 상태만을 뜻하지만 '남았다'는 현재의 상태도 될 수 있고 과거의 사건만 될 수도 있습니다. 즉, '남았다'는 두 가지 뜻으로 쓸 수 있습니다.
      - 남아 있다: S has been left
      - 남았다: S was left
