I don’t know if the casual viewer of this channel has any idea how much of a privilege it is for us fans to have this trio breaking down tape for us week in and week out. Greg cosell may be one of the best to ever do it, on par with the great Ray Didinger. And the Geoff and Adam are two of the brightest covering any team in the league, and we’re blessed to have them exclusively going inside the birds for us. Thanks for another amazing season gentlemen, here’s to a happy and blessed new year to us all!
For 20 plus years I'll stop and watch anything that has Greg Cosell in it. I remember watching him on daily news live on Comcast Sportsnet many years ago.
It's the result of priortizing athletes over traditional pocket QBs. They got away with this going through the ranks because of their athleticism and it's tough to coach it out of them once they hit a certain age. Allen and Mahomes do it constantly as well. Current Burrow is probably the best modern day QB at staying in his lane and taking what the defense gives him
I think Jalen in particular makes a pre snap read of zone vs man, and will predetermine to go to aj in man and devonta in zone. When the defense confuses the snap coverage or his predetermined primary read ends up well covered then he immediately drops his eyes, leaves the pocket and either scrambles or does a scramble drill throw. Its tough to watch a guy get paid $250m who can’t get past his first read regularly, Nd its why the offense has gotten simpler and simpler over the year. GB was by far the most interesting passing game we had by a mile this year
@mikeminarich1159 it's so frustrating to watch him sometimes. Especially with other people. There will be a wide open guy in front of his face 15 yards down the field with zero pressure and he'll run for 3 yards. They'll act like he made some amazing play avoiding a sack
@@mikeminarich1159What were you watching this season for you to say GB was his best game? So you didn't watch the Bengals game, or the Steelers game? Those were his best games passing. His decision making, on time throws, and pocket awareness were the best in those games. Because of his early season ints everyone was harping on his ball security, and playing hero ball only throwing go balls to aj. He started being reluctant taking unnecessary sacks, but in those games he let loose a little more.
I find that Eagles fans who get angry about criticism for somebody like Jalen hurts is directly congruent with their own level of concern about the quarterback play and having empirical data shown to them, makes them angry… I think when Eagles fans are completely confident about a player and somebody says something negative. Their level of anger is not as intense because they have a confidence that they know the person is really a great player.
Andrew Booth should have passed off that corner route turned inside to AJB on the smash (banjo?), but it was def Devonta's slick routes that threw him for a loop.
19:29 looks like Kenny felt Lane Johnson giving up inside leverage so he bailed to that side forcing the Defensive end to redirect his momentum. It worked on that play, but Pickett bailing early might suggest the overall height of the offensive line is one of the reasons why both Kenny & Jalen bail so quickly.
What Geoff said was absolutely correct. They weren't making those plays early in the season. They're making them now. That isn't negative, it's the truth. Don't be so sensitive.
Hey guys if the Eagles don't win the superbowl, in my opinion, this was a waste of a good team, my point is, the coach not letting Barkley get the NFL rushing record, they are worried about the players getting hurt, hell you can get hurt at practice or walking, I really don't wont the Eagles going into the playoffs with this mindset about players getting hurt, I think not going for the record, will come back and bite the Eagles in the ass in the playoffs, just remember that I said that,
Actually he didn't play well in the last preseason game vs Vikings. Coaches want to see how he does in a real game and they'll learn a lot more about him on Sunday when he starts.
Pump the brakes, dude. A few good throws at the end of a blowout win when the other team had obviously checked out does not make an elite QB. I can't believe how huge a deal people are making out of this. It was a few good throws in garbage time. Chill.

Greg Cosell is such a resource. Inside the Birds always brings it... But the episodes with Greg are the best!🎉
👏👏👍🙏
Great analysis and lesson to the viewers about Pickett not dropping straight back and drifting to the left. 👍
Thanks for all the work you guys do! Really appreciate your show, alway keeping the us fans in the loop! Happy Holidays fellas!
Great show guys. So informative!
I can't understand why Eagles QBs bail from perfectly clean pockets. Or fail to throw to wide open primary reads. One of life's mysteries

Fantastic breakdown gentleman!!
This is a good show

Thank you
Love the Milton Williams shoutout but no mention of him destroying Tyler Smith on the pick 6?
We've sung his praises for 3 years... FYI
Even when giving a compliment Geoff cannot help himself but to take a dig/complaint. There can be objectivity without negativity 34:47

Such a close game the only thing that kept the cooboys from winning was that darn scoreboard.😀
😏
Imagine what Burrow would do with this offense. Picket definitely makes me miss Hurts.
No one was greater than getting in and out of breaks, out of necessity due to a lacking in the speed area, as Jerry Rice.
The only person that beat us at the linc in the playoffs was drew brees in this era
You must have missed Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson.
@ i was wrong in this new era the only qb to beat the eagles at home in the playoffs is Wilson with Seattle in 2019 the rest of our Ls was away games
GO BIRDS!!!!….YAAHHHH!!!

Huh?
