    Andy one of the best ‘how to drone videos’ on drone fishing I’ve seen on UA-cam. Well done. Keep them coming.

    awesome video! gonna try that with my Air 2s....what is the max weight that you have put on this thing? Still using it? How does the fishing compare to just casting....must be a game changer.

    • @danglersdronefishing
      @danglersdronefishing  2 роки тому +2

      Sure is a game changer! Max weight on MA2 (non S) is about 700 grams. I'd try and go lighter with drops if possible and only go around 500-600 max. Wind can be a factor with these smaller drones so take care if it is a windy day especially if its a cross wind and not at your back.
      Glad you liked the video mate, hope it helps.

    I like the product a lot. If you can’t afford this consider adjustable trolling downrigger clips from cannon. They will cost much less.

    • @danglersdronefishing

      They sure do and to be honest they work really well! Bit of trial and error getting the line size right but that's what I used to use when I started out.

    Are the obstacle avoidance sensors were on when you send the bait?

    Do you ever worry about the mechanical release not working and possibly having the drone crash into the water. That’s my main concern.

    • @danglersdronefishing
      @danglersdronefishing  2 роки тому

      Not really. As long as you've set your drop loop up with the correct line there shouldn't be any issues.
      Heavy crosswinds can make release tricky as you don't get good line tension to release with, so that's something to be wary of.

  • @sedativefilms

    What are advantages of the mechanical release vs the electrical ?

    • @danglersdronefishing
      @danglersdronefishing  2 роки тому +1

      Mainly safety for line tangles or bird strikes on the send out. If any line tension is applied the bait will release from the drone and you don't risk your drone going for a swim.
      Electrical are great as they let you drop with more precision (stop and drop) but you need to be constantly alert when sending out the bait, just to make sure if your line stops or a bird goes for your bait mid-air you can release it straight away.
      Some companies also make hybrid release systems, so they're electrical but have a mechanical release built in giving you best of both worlds :)

    Hi How much maximum weight can the drone carry?

    • @danglersdronefishing
      @danglersdronefishing  2 роки тому

      Mavic Air 2 is rated up to 700grams I believe, but I'd never go over 500grams for safety as you never know what the wind is going to do out 300 metres from shore.

    what is the range of the releaser ?

  • @kevinfrancis2245
    @kevinfrancis2245 3 роки тому

    I find .7mm line releases with very little tension. So much so, that I have to use smaller sinkers and only two hooks.

    • @danglersdronefishing
      @danglersdronefishing  3 роки тому

      Thats really odd Kevin. I’ve never had that issue since using the SkyClip and have lifted up to 600grams without issue.
      What model SkyClip do you use?

    • @danglersdronefishing
      @danglersdronefishing  3 роки тому +1

      @@kevinfrancis2245 only thing I can think is your release may not have been calibrated properly from factory? Thats unlikely but still possible. They have a 2 year warranty so might be worth reaching out to SkyClip. It might also be worth trying a different brand line.
      I use cheap Prymal 60lb mono leader for my drop loop.

    Hi there how many drops with the 6oz and 2 hook set up at 300 meters are you getting ? Cheers

    • @danglersdronefishing
      @danglersdronefishing  2 роки тому

      Usually get 4 to 6 drops, depending on bait size and wind factor as both put more drain on the battery.

      @jasegazzard3743 2 роки тому

      @@danglersdronefishing Hi thanks for reply that's quite impressive I will be only running a 4oz sinker with 2 hooks, so no need to buy splashdrone then? Just get the bait release for my air 2s

    • @danglersdronefishing

    Hi there, I was wondering, why in sports mode?

    • @danglersdronefishing
      @danglersdronefishing  3 роки тому

      A couple of reasons you should use sports mode:
      1. The speed ensures a nice snappy release when tension is applied to the line. Especially if dropping lighter loads.
      2. Better battery performance. Because you are flying fast you are in the air for less time than Normal mode. This means you can get an extra bait drop on that battery than you would if flying slower.

    • @danglersdronefishing

      Each to their own i guess mate. I like both brands but honestly don't agree with some of the practices that Gannet's owner undertakes in the industry. But lets not open that can of worms lol!

    I don't understand the mechanism that the release happens. How much tension it needs and who is causing the tension?
