NCT 2020 was a huge project. It brought all their units together in one big album and it introduced the two new members. This song was kind of like the final bow on the big present. It was a performance mashup song that showcased all 23 members at once.

Chronologically wise and logically wise 😌
This "Resonance" is basically a performance piece to showcase all the members. The song itself is essentially a mashup of "Make A Wish", "90's Love" and "Work it" and blended together with "Raise the Roof". There was a lot that went in to the preparation and production. They basically had to all get in to a practice room and rehearse the choreography together, props to the choreographer handling 23 guys (ages18-26), making sure they all knew their spot. As for the filming, majority of it was shot in like a large gymnasium, they basically built a large stage and brought it all this crazy dark lighting and light up backboards and just shot the dance over and over again. They had all kinds of cameras, including a drone. Overall, it's an ambitious project.
Even Taeyong the leader can't catch up with his 22 children, so much to take at once. Get well soon Taeyong!

This was a mix of Make a wish, 90's love, Work It and Raise the roof which doesn't have a music video...
This was all 23 of them but sadly a member (maknae - Park Jisung) couldn't participate on the choreography because of an injury, you can still see him there though (for a few seconds)... also their leader Taeyong also has an injury so he took a break but that was after the release of this MV.. though I know he'll be back soon since NCT 127 is going to release a new 'Japanese album' this February!!
The Fish Tank reminds me of Johnny and Taeyong's fish tank that is full of weeds , ornaments (or what you call them)..

Resonance is the culmination of the whole NCT2020 project, and is a medley of 4 of their songs from their album (Make A Wish, Raise The Roof, 90s Love and Work It)
by the way this is mixing their songs that have been given a music video for this resonance album, and the "I'm about to raise the roof" song is called "raised the roof", a song with no mv as a b-side track in the album
You guys are doing such a great job learning about these boys. It took me forever to figure them all out and I still confuse Jungwoo and Jaemin, lol! The long-haired one is Johnny, your fav from a few videos and the "bad man" who killed everyone in Kick It. :) They change their hair a lot. Personally, I loved him with long hair. I was sad when he cut it. :(
Oh! The duet Taeyong is in is called "Baby Don't Stop" and he sings and dances with Ten. They are the best dancers in NCT, IMO, but everyone has their favorites. Personally, I favor Ten the most. :)
Fun fact they are talking about resonating and raising the roof and this is ACTUALLY a physics thing, when two objects resonate ( vibrate at the same frecuency) if you see the graph / wave that show that vibration, it starts going upper and upper, its like you're raising the "roof" or the max point of that vibration. So they basically saying that with their music the connect people they make people be on the same page or vibrate at the same point and then together they raise the roof
All the lightings were real. They shot the mv at a real concert venue with a real stage, and then they put the lightings in rows and around the stage. Watch the behind the scene in NCT Daily channel. It's actually pretty fascinating
I'm really enjoying your reactions. One unit of NCT you missed actually is NCT dream (they are composed of younger members from NCT. They started promoting when their age is around 14-17 years old if I'm not mistaken)

Raise The Roof is a b-side from the Resonance album. They used it as the chorus for this mashup. Resonance is made as a performance show on award shows. NCT just happened to make an MV for us, previous performance songs in previous years don't have MVs.
Well, you're right! resonance is actually the remix of all 3 songs they've released in 2020 . It's actually like a highlight of their projects during the second half of 2020 The orders are like this :
1) Make A Wish/birthday song. Started at Taeyong's rap at 2:24. The bridge at 8:46 is also from "Make A Wish" but they changed the high note a little at the end
2) 90s love ( 5:17 you recognised it well)
3) Work It ( 7:38 is the disco one with the long haired Johnny)
The other song is "Raise the roof" which is the chorus part, but raise the roof doesn't have an mv so they just mixed it up with the other 3 songs and make it a *DANCE TRACK* just like *BLACK IN BLACK*
If black in black is for all members in 2018, then Resonance is for all members in 2020. That's the idea
Also how they set this up was genius! They combined 4 songs (3 of them were title songs during NCT2020): Make A Wish, 90’s Love, Work It and a new song Raise The Roof.
But the way they combined it is awesome.

Basically they placed it carefully and thoughtfully in chronological and logical order: so 1st title track 1st verse, 2nd title track 2nd verse and with the 3rd title track the bridge.
The twirling camera was a drone, they shot it in a stadium..thats what it took to shot for 23 members, it is large members with large production crews..yall can watch its behind the scene from the channel, NCT Daily

3 title tracks (make a wish, 90's love, work it) and a b-side (Raise the roof) to kind of 'wrap up' the NCT2020 activities so they can focus on their individual units, for exemple NCT 127 is gonna release new album next month, WayV are also in the makes of their new album, hopefully NCT Dream also on the works of new music, etc.
Untill then, if you guys had the time to check the album 'resonance part 2' out (even react if you feel like it) it would be awesome! This album has been on bilboard top 5 most bought albums for the past months. There are color coded lyric videos that has the translations and pictures of who is singing and their names, of you're interested.
Honestly hope the best for you guys, quickly became one of my favorit reactors channel to NCT. Also excited to get to know your work better.

They have played at the Houston Rodeo I know the last two years until the pandemic. Houston Rodeo is a huge Rodeo, Livestock Show and more. You can watch it on UA-cam also. Think I was the only cowgirl there that knew al the songs they sung.

It's sort of like a Mashup of the 4 songs, but with bits of new song in between, along with the outro dance break....but the BPM of each of the songs has been adjusted to a common tempo, in order for the whole Mashup to flow together smoothly...you might be able to tell in the beginning when you hear the birthday song, its just a little bit slower than the original.👍

Some other things that I would like to mention :
- This MV contains all 23 members but only 22 members dance ( Jisung at 2:06 only took this closeup shot as I mentioned before he is taking haitus from activities due to his knee injury
- You might not noticed them but all the songs that mashup in this have a little bit difference in details from their original track ( rearranged, remixed, etc... )
- at 8:27 , 3 members in the front are Taeyong, Ten and Mark ( we call them Lee family as they all have Lee as their lastname ). They are also the members of another group called "SuperM" which many people said that the group is the Avengers of K-POP.

Resonance is a performance video which culminates 3 title tracks from NCT 2020 promotions + the b-side track Raise the roof. This is an attempt of SM to correct what they did wrong for black and black and that is to showcase each member on a certain point and not make them look like backup dancers. I personally like black on black as a track better but resonance is fair and epic as well

There’s a kpop group that i would like to recommend, they are called the Super M. Basically the members of this group are from different SM Entertainment Groups combined together in one group (Avengers concept).

Just for your info, for most of the MVs, there is a Behind The Scene & those usually will explain the MVs most of the time. And there are behind the scene recording sessions to, the are guides to the members if y'all want to know the members/groups more, variety shows such as Idol Room, NCT World 2.0, NCT Daily( Its awkward but its ok i think?!?!), Johnny's Communication Center(FUNNY AF), etc.

I heard a comparison to MJ during the Work It portion of this MV. Just as an FYI - the undisputed successor to Michael Jackson in Kpop is the one and only, fabulous soloist Taemin (aka Lee Taemin, aka SHINee's maknae). Start with Taemin's earliest stuff if you are interested - Danger and Ace (the Beatburger performance video).
