I really enjoy that aspect of seeing high level play, where you're like "okay, he knows how to close this out, I'm not gonna make him show his work, we concede", because to do otherwise when you see he knows how to close is a waste of time.
As good as the Mess hall cap was, greens unpredictability is what made you lose the match. They had a good cap spot on right side bonus that could contest red, but instead capped behind pink after pinked capped and then full sent into pink. Blue chose a late game hard to card block cap, but guaranteed they do nothing major early game. They full sent red after knowing they lost and gave everyone else a shot. Blue and pink stacking in your bonus with purple on edge meant you can’t get enough troops to clear it before red or pink got big. The only two moves I think that could of helped was either cap on your 5 on the right side (a weaker cap, but insures kill guards to prevent early rushes and has red cap in front of mess instead) or full send into red with your troops in purples bonus so purple doesn’t bot and give bonus to red or pink. Alcatrash never fails to be hilarious at least!

Hey Kyle, Kylted, World Champion: regarding your comments on review of the game on plays you might have taken to improve position. I am not quite GM (about 500pts away) and havent been playing for near as long, but i am good with puzzles, and this may not entirely be the play my brain thinks it could have been but just wanted to pitch it as a potential shot. I didnt quite analyze any of the earlier play as the variables are too shifty and any huge play shift in another direction could have just caused another player to sue into you, so i tend to look at potential plays in later stages once some of the board has finalized. At 30:24, on that turn where you set, and pink is on 2 cards, i think if you had stacked all of those on your capital on Cell Room Center Passage and used your troops on your Guards Room capital (leave about 10-15 behind) to clear pink all the way up to Cell Room South Passage, leaving the block on his middle capital, then move all the troops from your center capital in front of his 66 cap, except about 25 to mitigate his income doing a cap run, even if he fortified to 90-100, you would have 150-170 or so and might have been able to take that capital from him(taking the back and second cap as well, then stacking the troops you left for the south block on that cap after, and with his big stack blocked and no trade, you should be able to survive the following few turns, reduce his troop income by 15, and shake up the board position with the really good bonus and 2 caps with 4 free cards in the hole. Again, youre a better player than i am, and this may have gone terribly or still ended in defeat one he freed his stack, but its the only point near the end that i could see with the best odds for success at a chance to do some critical damage. There was also a similar variant where you leave the south block and stack everything on your middle capital baiting him out of the north to get a third card or go take your free capital, but this hinges on him playing impulsively and he could have used that turn to just skip instead, and the extra 30+ troops from just one turn if he didnt bite, would have been enough to block any solid counter play option.
Mrs Low looses, that's alright. Good both of you didn't drag it out. (Also, you just need to loose a game after the reset to loose your GM rank, so that doesn't mean that much 😀)

Green smacking pinks cap and immediately quitting before the animation is even finished got me 😂🤣

16:14 how did red bring back all his troops to his initial spot on the right? I thought you always had to leave 3 behind when splitting back 👀
You can roll single dice to attack if you want, and you only have to move 1 in that case

You look a lot happier since December. I hope you're getting more down time!
Thanks! Things are going well right now
Massive Dennis Reynolds "sickness be gone" vibes from you today.

Ah, the agony of slow defeat.
Though I like that you include some losses (even if 2nd place isn't bad) just to keep us guessing!

Wouldn't surprise me if there is a new pandemic going on. I've been coughing for weeks now and I started to notice a lot of people do.
