This was extremely useful. I'm starting out on cos-playing and i have used warbla in 2014 for Dark Valkyrie Diana (FROM LEAGUE OF LEGENDS)using only one layer. now I know it would look better thicker. next year, I'm going to cos-play Dryad Soraka (from the same game) and I know it will be way better then the first one. Thank you so much for all the tips. :3
you are an angel, thank you SO MUCH for this video! It is seriously so helpful ;; I have ADHD, and usually, watching an instructional video that's almost 20 minutes long would be torture lol but the way you spoke made it super easy to grasp everything you were saying. Agh, just, THANK YOU again lol. I'm super excited to start my first worbla project, and this video has really helped make me less nervous about it!! ^_^
This video is this most informative out of all the research I've done I like to be very thorough when starting new projects.. I've made a prop out of wood.but I've yet to work with thermal plastics. I've looked into this already enough to have all my materials and tools I should need. I'm planning on using Worbla and Wonderflex since their fairly similar materials as well as crafting foam.. but this video is very easy to follow especially if someone has never done things with thermal plastics like myself. Since my cosplay is mainly Arm armor it's not a incredible amount like full body armor . I wanted to start with something seemingly simple in the sense of amount of work. I was wondering how I was going to form my shoulder cauldrons to my triceps area and that helps a lot because I didn't think of using elastic I was going to use Velcro but anyways I'm rambling lol Thank you so much!!
+THETHIRDL2009 I'm the same way when starting new projects or working with new materials. My goal was to make a video that was easy to follow for those who were new to worbla. Glad I could help you and good luck with your project!
Thank you for this informative video! It was a lot of help to see you actually make a little something instead of just talking about it. I was wondering, how durable is the Worbla when it is wrapped around the craft foam? For instance, if you were making a weapon with it and you accidentally hit the other person's weapon with yours would the Worbla break?
GiniroTsuki Hi Giniro, I'm glad I could help you out. I would say it depends upon your weapon core -if it's literally a long thin piece of craft foam, wrapped in 1 layer of worbla it won't be terribly strong. If the core is thicker (like floor mat EVA foam) or something denser/stronger on its own, wrapped in worbla I think you'd be fine (as long as it's an accidental hit and you're not full-on dueling the other person). I have full confidence I could drop my armor pieces down the stairs and they'd be find aside from paint chipping. Hope that helps

Thank you SOOOO much for this video! Very detailed for a worbla newbie like myself.
awesome thanks ! I've been having problems working with worbla and was almost ready to give up . but i'll keep on trying now !
Yes, keep at it. There is a bit of a learning curve as you figure the material out, but it does get better!
