Yeah. Especially since many of them act similarly.
Well... custom moves weren't exactly well received in Smash 4. I don't think that they are ever going to add them back just like that
Undisputed best character at that point lol
I find Flash Stopper to be a cool weapon, due to the fact that you can still fire the Mega Buster while the time stop is in effect, unlike Time Stopper which does what its name says: Stop time and nothing else.

Mega buster is infinity
27:13 Freeze Cracker bears similarity to Mega Man X's Shotgun Ice, the difference being that the former can be fired in more than one direction and splits in a hexagonal arrangement instead of a spread arrangement; in fact, Mega Man 7 used Mega Man X's engine and was released a couple years after
27:47 Thunder Bolt is another weapon like that of Mega Man X, this time resembling Electric Spark; the difference is that the former splits when hitting an enemy, while the latter splits when hitting a surface; Mega Man Zero 2's Spark Shot EX Skill also resembles both Special Weapons, except it is more like Thunder Bolt
30:21 Wild Coil may be the inspiration for Mega Man X4's Double Cyclone (both versions) and Mega Man X5's Goo Shaver and Ground Fire (charged versions) since both Mega Man and X hold their hands out to release projectiles in opposite horizontal directions
I like the fact that the games used the same engine (X and 7)

As a matter effect, almost ALL of the MMX weapons hold a slight resemblance to the MM franchise, at least from MMX, MMX2, and MMX4. Here are the similarities:

You didn't show most of the weapons their full potential. When you used the Ice Slasher, you didn't show us that this doesn't do damage and only freezes the enemy, when you used the Air Shooter against an enemy pretty resistant to it making it look weak and useless than it actually is, when you used Flash Stopper you only showed it being able to stop time rather than also showing that you can shoot the buster while time is stopped.
You see, some footages aren't mine, of course if i would show them i would proabably show them with their potential

I guess Magnet Beam from MM1 could count as a weapon, but you didn't include that. If you can, make a video containing ALL of the bonus weapons (like the M. Beam) from every MM series. If not, there's probably only one bonus weapon.
The Megaman V (GB)/ Rockman World V Mega Hand was remarkably versatile if you think about it. With both of the available upgrades for it, it could attack an enemy multiple times and be used as a boomerang to grab distant items.

Did we noticed that both Thunder Bolt from Mega Man 7 (27:50) and Laser Trident from Mega Man 9 (41:30) were on same color schemes. Also, both Thunder Bolt (Mega Man 7) and Laser Trident (Mega Man 9) were in same color schemes as infamous North America version of first Mega Man game cover art on NES (known as Bad Box Art Mega Man).
Is there going to eventually be a Megaman X version of this?

Weird and funny weapon in this franchise - is Mega Kick. XD
It's strange... you completely missed Bass' Buster upgrades in Megaman & Bass game: Piercing Buster, which allowes Bass' shots to go through the walls (like Megaman's buster shots); Power Buster, which allowes Bass' shots to not go through the walls anymore but does double damages!
For the longest time I did not know you could aim the Hard Knuckle up and down.
You still missed mega man and bass 2 + Mega man the power fighters and power battle and also the do’s games. But still this is good.

For some reason I always preferred to call Bass' and Proto's attacks as Bass Shot and Proto Strike respectively.
They sorta go along with their personalities, Bass wouldn't want his attack to be named similar to Megaman, and Proto already has an ultimate attack in MM&B and Power Fighters called Big Bang Strike.
Edit: also, wouldn't Megaman's Double Charged Buster from Megaman 11 using the Double Gear also count as another attack?

The GB games, being recycled products, did a fairly nice job to come up with original weapons, sometimes outdoing the creativity of some stuff in MM5-6 on NES.
Not to mention, besides the weapons topic, those GB games introduced currency and shopping, which became a standard feature in main games.

@@Crobert24 That's the problem. I'm confused about your criteria to select the weapons. If it was damage dealing, you forgotten Beat (from MM5, MM6 e MM IV), Tango (from MM V) and Rush Bomber (MM8); but you included Jet Adapter (which doesn't affect the attack). If you wished to added only the main weapons, Super Arrow simply don't fit.

I think fist fight should be physical type as your using a part of you body
Silk shot has multiple elements but you could create a material or metal element

The video end up longer than it should have been, with too many repetition of the weapons... 3x is enough. And takes too much time with the basic ones in the beginning. But good work anyway.

That has its reason behind it; I did want to publish it at high resolution an quality, but the irony here is that I recorded most of those on phone and asked for permission to burrow some footage too. But hey, that's back then, now I can do better, but would still risk putting some videos on a very high quality for the sake of saving some network data for other things.

All games have at least a few uninspired or uncreative/repeated weapons, that is an effect of the aggressively milked off management of the franchise early on, with yearly releases and all. There was no time to make a sequel with only great and creative ideas.
And it became worse in the 90s as the creativity didn't grow even when games stopped coming out yearly. Maybe because the creative energy had to be divided between MM and MMX. And MM indeed started copying weapons from MMX and not only previous MM games.
Perhaps if we took only the more creative weapons, and only the more well designed bosses, and only the good final boss fights, and put all together there would be content for only 5-6 MM games. The rest is a product of shameless milking.
