Hi doctor. I have annular tear . Will culture expanded stem cell intradiscal injection work?

Don’t you think you’re shooting yourself in the foot by condemning mesoblast. After all, it’s essentially the same treatment. Sure, aspirate is heterogenous but the main actor is still the stem cell.

Hi Dr. Centeno :) I had a question regarding your treatments. I understand that you have general guidelines for your regenexx doctors to follow. However, I have weak and fragile collagen, possibly EDS. I had a big tail bone injury in 2011, where i sprained all the ligaments connecting my sacrum to pelvis pretty badly. I also sprained the fascia in my buttocks and sides and back from a firm mattress. I called Dr. Kramberg's office and they said he has never treated that problem. Can regenexx help? I have serious sprains in the ligaments and soft tissue connecting my sacrum to iliac (including iliolumbar, posterior sacroliac, and sacrotuberous ligaments) and spine. (like ALL the ligaments my sacrum can possibly connect to) from the models i see those are big ligaments requiring a lot of solution and many injections following a trail down from around L5 to coccyx. is this something regenexx would do? or they would only follow cookie cutter protocol. I don't feel like regular doctor's solutions will help me heal well, with having EDS. Thanks so much

Yes, this application is more specialized (EDS), but our Colorado HQ has treated many of these patients and I personally have likely treated the most in the network.

I know that the clinic requires an MRI, but not much shows on my MRI's with my injuries. My MRI of the bilateral hips and bony pelvis is normal, even though i had injuries and extreme laxity. I guess I can schedule a phone consult with you. But i hear you are booked for a couple of months. Would dextrose be harmful to people with EDS? Since it is still trauma to the ligaments, without high yield in an EDS patient. @@centenohome

@@judesterification You can certainly try dextrose prolotherapy, which can help a bit in EDS. My niece has EDS and does the best with bone marrow stem cells, but prolo will tune her up. Yes, oftentimes a static MRI is not helpful; in EDS patients because the issue is laxity, which requires dynamic imaging to appreciate.

Do I need a recent MRI in my case? Everyone i speak to in the clinic say I can't schedule a consult without an MRI. Is it possible to make an exception? All of my problems are ligament, tendon, fascia which typicaly don't show on pelvic and spine MRI's. thanks so much for your responses. @@centenohome
