Jamar Ward standard 4 cylinders are going back down to 228hp. The 6 cylinders will only be available in higher series or performance models. Almost all models will be 4 cylinder, which is fine based on how these drive. Drove one yesterday and it’s really a zippy, great sounding, and fun car to blast around in.
Chris Soniak means you probably bought some cheap beat up BMW and didn’t do any maintenance to it. My dad has owned 5 and never had any maintenance other than oil changes and brakes. What did you do wrong? I own a 2018 230xi and about to pick up a 2020 X2 m35i and both are phenomenal vehicles. Want blind spot monitoring? Check your damn mirrors 😂
It's a 2.0L TC producing 302 max HP. Meanwhile Mazda's 2.5L TC is 250 max HP. This X2 M35i does 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. Which is way faster than Mazda's implementation. But then again, these are performance/max/racing numbers. Not really real life situations. Anyway, my point is. You should get over what "2 liters" for cylinder displacement is supposed to mean. It has nothing to do with efficiency or total engine size. It's just some marketing term that was established too long ago. Just like max HP or Torque doesn't translate to how fast it can feel, or how zero body lean there is in road curves.
I keep hearing that sedans are dying and cross overs are taking over. Because people want SUV height, but sedan fuel economy. I think this car is replacing BMW 3 series or 1 series... for those who absolutely want the SUV ride height.
Back in my day, the 35 designation in BMWs meant a turbocharged inline six cylinder.
