- Another no damage boss battle. This time it's the semi-final boss from Kirby Triple Deluxe's Story Mode: Masked Dedede.
It took me quite a few attempts to find the best way for a no damage run. I didn't have many trouble with Phase 1, however, Phase 2 can be pretty difficult. I ended up using the Hammer ability instead of the Beetle one. The Hammer ability makes it easier to avoid ost of the attacks in Phase 2. However, it makes Phase 1 a bit more difficult.

Why wasn't Masked Dedede a costume for Smash?
+FanNintendo98 Because Sakurai's bias for Kirby Super Star exceeds no bounds.
It would be better as a final smash in my opinion. Like Kirby's, with the small quick slashes being with the axes. He'd get dizzy for a second, shake it off, pull out a huge ass metal hammer from his ass, holds it back for a few seconds (and it grows like the ultra sword), then lets loose with the hammer that's like twice his size. And he'd put on the mask first of course.

May I just point out two awesome details from this bossfight? If you look closely enough, you can see some strings attached to Dedede's limbs. What strings? *Puppet* strings. Because at the same time, you can also see Taranza controlling Dedede's *every* move in the background, using the strings attached to him, just *like* a puppeteer. Or, a "Master of Puppetry", like his theme song says.

Okay, I have three questions with this...
One: How did they manage to make the Masked Dedede theme so fucking epic without using hardcore metal? Most remixes have to do that, but this one... it just made the theme fucking awesome.
Two: Why does one of the cutest video games of all time have a theme that goes on par with other awesome boss themes? Kirby games typically have good music, but... Jesus...
Three: Why the hell wasn't Masked Dedede in Smash Bros.?!

Even if he doesn't have the axe, I want Masked Dedede to be Dedede's Final Smash. He just drops his normal hammer, takes out his fire-spitting, missile-shooting metal mallet, and dons the face armor. Then he wrecks shit.
Yeah, that would be awesome. I really hate his normal final smash.
Unfortunately, it's been revealed as Dedede Burst, where he inhales to pull his enemies in before delivering a mighty hammer blow.

Then I saw him pick up the axe.
Using hammer was a nice touch. Intentional or not, the reference to the initial fight in SSU is cool.

Still wondering why Skaurai didn't put Masked Dedede as Dedede final smash in the new super smash bros.
Because Sakurai only cares about titles he likes, i.e. fire emblem and kid icarus. DK, Kirby, Zelda, and almost everyone else gets the shaft. But, hey, the damn dog from duck hunt is here!
***** Yes, I have, but let's be real here; just about anyone could've come up with it, seeing the king's moveset. It takes true passion for your characters to come up with something more unique to them. But, looking back on it, transformation smashes are pretty common, so perhaps masked Dedede's omitted for a reason. Stickin' to my guns on DK, though.
***** Not what I meant; DK's final smash is a reference to some old, mediocre (in my opinion) game. But, they could've added Dixie, Cranky, the snowmads into smash run, etc. I've got to hope for some remixes; the soundtrack of Tropical Freeze is gorgeous.
***** Well, the omission of Ice Climbers is just because the capacities of the 3DS. About the others, yes, they could easily add the three clones as alternate costumes (even Lucina, she could be a alternate costume for Marth, even though it doesn't make so much sense they sharing moveset).
We have the koopalings and Alph but they could go further with "new character costumes". They could put Lucas, Ninten, Ana and Paula as Ness costumes, Dixie as Diddy's, Medusa as Palutena's, Wolf (and even Falco) as Fox's, Galacta Knigth as Meta Knigth's... well the list can go on as far as your imagination can, and it's an awesome way to put more "character" with fair less effort than making a clone.
Becuase his theme would have to play. and if it it did the fighters would all die from the badassery

When i first saw this when i was 8 i was so dededeceptioned that Nintendo made a shitty Masked Dedede battle compared to SSU. But when phase 2 began i was so surprised i fell of my seat and regreted saying the battle was shitty
