Well with Ninja Laegjarn gone, I don't really as strong as a passion on summoning on this AHR, but out of this top 8, I suppose I would want Veronica - Excellent Sweeper when she gets going, and if i somehow +10, well Panic 4 fodder at my disposal Ophelia - Can never have too many Arcane copies, Spiral 4 works on just about any unit that can get it Camilla - Don't have her, wanna test her out for myself, cause if there's one I can do, it's stack stats in Light Season, funny enough, Atk and Res. Just wanna see if she could truly put Laevatein out of her role as my Light Season carry. Duo Chrom - I just wanna see if I could +10 him. Currently +3, +Atk, if I did +10 him as well, idk what to do with his fodder, but could find a use later on.
Yeah, I'm not even shocked F!Edelgard is there, but S!Edelgard I don't mind since it's an alt that is actually good. The only thing that annoys me about F!Edelgard is that she pretty much takes away a spot from other characters and alts people want to vote for but couldn't get. We could've had Embla, but oh well, guess a fallen version of a hero in the normal summoning pool is more worth it.

From a casual standpoint, I at least understand why Fallen Edelgard got 5th place. Even though she is almost 2 years old, she is a vital skill check. On paper, a unit with built in distant counter, denies follow-ups, accelerates her own special cooldown while delaying yours, reducing the enemy's first attack by 40%, and being able to attack twice, thrice with Galeforce on her turn is a very scary unit. Most of us have multiple counters to her by necessity, whether it be Null Follow Up, Armor/Beast effectiveness, enough defense to tank her attacks, ect. But a lot of people that play this game might not have that counter, and honestly, she legitimately does make clearing things like chain challenges and GHBs/BHBs a no-brainer. She makes a lot of the PVE content easy, and that's essentially free orbs. Yeah, there's plenty of talk on reddit and twitter and youtube and stuff asking who voted for her, but the people that voted for her likely don't engage with other people that play Heroes and just voted to try and get a unit that's very easy to use. Anyway I'll personally be going Team Chrobin because I really hope to +10 them.
Yeah, a unit that can basically solo-autobattle 4 years worth of PVE content is a casual player's dream. Pretty much only immortal Surtr from Book 2 ever gives her a hangup in the old content lol
That's very true, the "big players" need to realize the rest of the world doesn't live in PVP. Fallen Edelgard is not "just" a Galeforcer; she hard-walls anyone who doesn't have a modern skill set. I have my +10 Brave Tiki for that, but most players don't. I genuinely believe Fallen Edelgard is responsible for I.S. giving out Null Follow-Up like candy. Not only the vanilla infantry-locked version, but the fact that practically every beast refine got/needed it, and the advent of Flow skills (ABSOLUTELY VITAL to inherit to a unit like Tsubasa or Jill). Even a lot of Armor/Beast effective damage gets shrugged off otherwise. You can't just throw Petrine at her.
@@Hypershell I believe she was also the first viable offensive armored unit that didn't need any help. Black Knight, Hardin, anyone running Bold Fighter, they all needed help via Armor March or positioning skills and couldn't really be a threat on their own. But F!Edelgard brought 2-movement _and_ auto-Galeforce, and could break through every tank at the time since no one was used to having to take repeated hits from units with high armored BST. She just had no weaknesses.
I think a lot of people are going to jump on ninja Camilla to take out fallen edelgard and then potentially take out summer edelgard to win the entire gauntlet
I already went through the 5 stages of grief last year when F!Edel got into the VG as well, I’m already at stage 5 of acceptance this year and just along for the ride
It's no surprise S!Edelgard won 1st place, but at least it's an alt that is pretty good and worth voting for, as well as not being from the main summoning pool, unlike F!Edelgard who pretty much stole a spot from Embla. At least B!Edelgard didn't win any of the top 8 spots.
Summer Edelgard is the only Edelgard alt I don't mind being on AHR because she's a limited time character and is still very good at what she does. Fallen Edelgard, on the other hand, not so much. She's in the regular pool and Fomortiis is a straight upgrade. I'm annoyed that regular pool alts of Edelgard made it thrice in a row.
I noticed Camilla has a great shot at getting past round 1 and eliminating F!Edel! Edelgard fans will have to choose between Summer and Fallen, most will join Summer. Camilla will also get more support than usual because she's going against F!Edel

Honestly I am kinda disappointed with this years AHR, first and foremost thanks to the trolls and unreasonable people that voted Fallen Edelgard this heavy again, but also my most wanted picks fighting against each other first round or not really having a chance I suppose. „Dream“ Banner out of this would be Veronica, Camilla, Grima and Chrom for me, cause first both would be amazing fodder while sharing with Chrom which actually is a merge project of mine. Grima would just be the better long-term Fodder Pick over Formortiis and I don’t have her while having Formortiis already, but colorless wouldn’t be my color at all so… whatever. But in all honesty, if Chrom loses R1 idc anymore about AHR and I guess will spent my Orbs into different Banner where I actually would want something from.
@@Ancolyrica Yea this year's potentially best banner is pretty subpar compared to last year unless there's a merge project you want to work on. The fact that there isn't a single AH-O unit and only 1 legendary unit in top 8 is pretty nasty for people looking to get higher merges for the only modes where merges matter.
Fomortiis just goes hard as a unit in terms of both art and utility. Gonna go for him in the gauntlet because punching someone when you can just explode them with your mind is such a power move.
To be fair Summer Edelgard is a fantastic unit so her being on here is reasonable. (Not to mention she's a Duo) Fedelgard on the other hand...I believe a famous Spongebob line summarizes it: "HOW MANY TIMES DO WE NEED TO TEACH YOU THIS LESSON OLD MAN!?"

My votes were exactly like yours, all seven for punchy demon. Mythic banner sparks are paywalled so AHR might be my only chance to have one guaranteed copy. If the bracket remains as predicted, my dream banner would have Fomortiis, Rearmed Ophelia, Ninja Camilla, and I don't have a preference between Summer Edelgard and Legendary Vero, they're both very good units I don't have but I'm not a fan of either character. As usual I'm hoping only characters I don't have make it to the banner.
It's not an AHR without a regular pool Edelgard variant to try and ruin things. At least S!Edelgard is a seasonal harmonic, so her being in the top 8 is much more justified.

seeing these results reminds me how much the power level of units has drastically increased in the past year or so. fallen edelgard, to me, is moreso a reminder that a bunch of the playerbase can’t keep up with most of the super fast meta changes. she’s beatable, definitely, but she’s still so good if you aren’t prepared for her.

I was hoping Summer Thorr and Legendary Ninian would be Top 8 but unfortunately that didn't happen. If Ophelia and Veronica aren't on this banner then this banner will be a hard skip for me.
I voted Desert Nino all the way. My ideal is already gone (4 Red), but as long as Fallen Edelgard loses it's okay. 2 focus sharing a color is nothing special. 3 focus sharing a color is far worse rate-wise than 4, but we're not getting a better banner this year. Last year, Eldervi's calculations were like... 3 Special Heroes (i.e. Summer Edel, Ninja Camilla, Chrombin) on same color Same orbs to +10 ~-50% orbs for 5-star = 29 orbs 4 Special Heroes on same color Few more orbs to +10 ~-60% orbs for 5-star = 23 orbs

I genuinely don't understand why people don't simply vote for legendary heroes that actually need merges for their game modes. My votes went to Shez and Nana for this reason... but nope, Fedel. Again. From this batch I'd ike to see: L!Vero, R!Ophelia, Ninjilla, and R!Grima - purely for fodder, mostly.
Kinda disappointing this time around the picks for the units are good but not the best (at least for me) and the units I want the most are most likely going against each other round 1 so they can't all end up on the banner together :( but hey still gonna be a great banner regardless

I'm a huge fan of the Red Dream banner, but I honestly don't mind Formortiis making it on the banner at all. I used half my votes on Veronica and the other half on Ophelia, so I just need them to make it to top 4 at least. Good luck, everyone!
Got Ninja Camilla out of the free seasonal summon, so she's pretty much the only one I'm not too excited to see here incoming banner wise. But then again, she has some nice fodder as well, so not bad really. F!Edel doesn't worry me too much since I lack her AND (assuming things don't change) she's against Camilla round 1, so... Personally I'd hope for SEdel, Ninjamilla, Fomo and Spiral 4, but even if Duo-Chrom makes it it's hardly a loss nevertheless.
I honestly think having all 4 being the same color is a bad thing. If you dont get the color that they all are its just a waste of orbs, having 1 being a different color at least helps assure that we dont just waste orbs by not getting the 1 color.
So, my ideal AHR banner is Summer Edelgard, Fomortiis, Ninja Camilla and Rearmed Ophelia My prediction for the winner is probably Summer Edelgard. She's very all-purpose and a direct upgrade to Fallen Edelgard, as well as all Edelgard alts being popular always, so yeah. I REALLY wanted either Ophelia or Fomortiis to win, mostly Ophelia tho, I really want her Special Spiral 4 so I can build an Ignis Saizo without losing out on Lethality's damage reduction negation. Ignis does WAY more damage than Lethality, but the lack of damage reduction negation hurts a lot-

In other news though, glad S!Edel is the most voted. Honestly I was expecting Fomortiis but here's hoping she can pull off a win and get in the banner. My ideal banner is S!Edel, N!Camilla, Fomortiis and Re!Ophelia, both Camilla and Edel have great usage and Ophelia has the perfect fodder for me, Fomortiis since I skipped his banner💀 Goodluck to all!

My votes were exactly like yours, all seven for punchy demon. Mythic banner sparks are paywalled so AHR might be my only chance to have one guaranteed copy.
If the bracket remains as predicted, my dream banner would have Fomortiis, Rearmed Ophelia, Ninja Camilla, and I don't have a preference between Summer Edelgard and Legendary Vero, they're both very good units I don't have but I'm not a fan of either character. As usual I'm hoping only characters I don't have make it to the banner.
It's not an AHR without a regular pool Edelgard variant to try and ruin things. At least S!Edelgard is a seasonal harmonic, so her being in the top 8 is much more justified.

i think it's because she was sparkable without feh pass, and catria also gives a similar effect so cordelia is just a sidegrade at that point

If the match-ups are as predicted i'll be a bit divided in the Chrom/Ophelia duo, On one side i still dont have Duo chrom (he and S!edel are the ones i dont in this gauntlet), on the other Ophelia has such great skills...
seeing these results reminds me how much the power level of units has drastically increased in the past year or so. fallen edelgard, to me, is moreso a reminder that a bunch of the playerbase can’t keep up with most of the super fast meta changes. she’s beatable, definitely, but she’s still so good if you aren’t prepared for her.

With the units from last year it's hard to not be accidentally prepared for F!Edelgard to be honest.

Given the top 8 I would like S edel, Fomortiis, R grima, and D Chrom. This would need seeding to be changed to a strange variation but based on two more likely seedings I would like S edel, R grima/Fomortiis, N camilla, and D chrom; or S edel, Fomortiis, R Grima, and L veronica

Yeah, plus she’s a red unit!! Actually I’m kinda disappointed since I REALLY want her but didn’t summon in her debut banner thinking she’d place high in AHR. Oh well let’s hope she gets to share with another decent unit in the next double special heroes banner in 4 months…

Voting for Grima here. Already have all the really good meta units from here (Fomortiis, S!Edel) and Grima is one of my favorite characters in the franchise, so I'm voting her.

Got Ninja Camilla out of the free seasonal summon, so she's pretty much the only one I'm not too excited to see here incoming banner wise. But then again, she has some nice fodder as well, so not bad really.
F!Edel doesn't worry me too much since I lack her AND (assuming things don't change) she's against Camilla round 1, so...
Personally I'd hope for SEdel, Ninjamilla, Fomo and Spiral 4, but even if Duo-Chrom makes it it's hardly a loss nevertheless.

My prediction was half right for Chrom and Fomortiis, I thought Duo Askr, Duma or Embla are gonna be at top 8 but I guess not
I honestly think having all 4 being the same color is a bad thing. If you dont get the color that they all are its just a waste of orbs, having 1 being a different color at least helps assure that we dont just waste orbs by not getting the 1 color.

My prediction for the winner is probably Summer Edelgard. She's very all-purpose and a direct upgrade to Fallen Edelgard, as well as all Edelgard alts being popular always, so yeah. I REALLY wanted either Ophelia or Fomortiis to win, mostly Ophelia tho, I really want her Special Spiral 4 so I can build an Ignis Saizo without losing out on Lethality's damage reduction negation. Ignis does WAY more damage than Lethality, but the lack of damage reduction negation hurts a lot-
If I had to pick one unit on here, it would be Robin. I want Arcane Grima on my Ena. That's mainly it.
