To be honest, I don't think Jenny actually loved Forrest in the way he loved her. She cared about him, but I feel that she was also guilty of using him.
Yeah maybe it wasn't the passionate, all-consuming, can't even think straight when you look at me kind of love like Forrest had for her, but she loved him simply because he was the best thing in her life.
To me it just seemed she only wanted to marry him because she was dying and needed him to take care of his kid. I always wonder if she would have been ok if he would have ever known his son.
Look deeper. Being abused messes with your head. She felt like she did not deserve it. Look at her life and all the empty relationships. It's not that simple. She hated herself.

I wouldn't say Forrest and Jenny qualifies. He was obviously in love with her, but I don't think she was really in love with him. She friend-zoned him for pretty much their entire lives.
I disagree, I think she does eventually realize her feelings for him, especially after they sleep together and he proposes, but she doesn't feel good enough for him because of all the abuse she suffered from all the men in her life, except Forrest. Because of what her father did to her and her not being able to get help to cope and manage her trauma in a healthy way, she repeatedly dated abusive men because that is all she knew. She didn't know that all men don't seek to hurt you and that it isn't something to be expected. She had low self-esteem and did not think he could or should love her with all her flaws (even though in his eyes, she could do no wrong) so she stayed away. She most likely was just trying to protect him because she knew he thought the world of her and didn't want to shatter his view of how he thought of her, particularly as she got into drugs. But once she had their son and got the help she needed, she finally allowed herself to receive that love he always had for her.

Jose Adolf Don’t get me wrong, I completely agree with you. I was very pleasantly surprised. It was the first movie I thought of for this list. It’s one of my all time favorites.
Reality Bites is one of my all time favorites. I remember watching it after I graduate from college and I could totally relate with the story and the struggle of the characters bc like me, they were also fresh graduates who were scared to face the real world, and the uncertainty of the future. Not to mention, the film's soundtrack are so good it makes you wanna dance while watching the movie
I hoped that "Empire Records" would make your list. The rooftop scene with Corey and AJ is my favorite friends-to-lovers payoff scene. But, I'm happy you included "Some Kind of Wonderful," "What If" and "Love, Rosie."
I know one friends with kids they started off as best friends and they had a son together and their feelings got in the way each time with them it’s a amazing movie I loved it
Some Kind of Wonderful is basically Pretty in Pink rewritten with gender roles reversed except for the ending (which was the original ending envisioned in Pretty in Pink)
We were best friend since high school-being her mistress in college-got separated-having my own family-having his own 2nd family-then got pregnant with him today while we both had a families. Destiny is really testing our relationship since then what a complicate situation is.
I LOVE some kind of wonderful. Like Watts never changes for Keith. NEVER. She’s the social pariah but he never asks her to change and falls for the version of her that she’s always been. In comparison to a lot of other movies where the girl or the guy changes and then suddenly they’re out of the friend zone
I LOVE the movie and watched it countless times over the years. My only problem with it is that Keith is so incredibly swoon-worthy and would never be an outcast under any circumstances. OTOH, I would place the movie at #1.

We are just appreciating representation. Minority representation is rarely at the forefront. You usually have to search for it. We appreciate that people love each other and all kinds of love but it's great to see representation that usually is not at the forefront.
I am thinking about being proud for my people before any other people. We usually get roles like gangsta or baby ma.
I’m glad Definitely, Maybe is on this list. One of my favorite movies from Ryan Reynolds and Isla Fisher
I'm so glad 'Just Friends' made it to the list....It's real good actually....
- I remember cried in a airplane with "One Day", that ending is hard
- Love "Reality Bites", Ethan was the Men from the 90's
- "Definitely Maybe" one of my favorites and April is my alter ego
- "Some kind of wonderfull", finally has some recognition
- And the #1 obviosly is "When Harry met Sally", is a clasic
I can’t believe Some Kind of Wonderful not only made it on the list, but was so high up. Really didn’t expect that.
@@naybaby5778 I didn't expect that too, but I think it should be that way. I really love how they treated Some Kind of Wonderful on the list. peace and love :)
I know one friends with kids they started off as best friends and they had a son together and their feelings got in the way each time with them it’s a amazing movie I loved it
'One day' i cried so hard😭
Wallace and Chantry are absolute favorites 🥺💖
One Day, sad but Good. Love, Rosie, 13 goging 30 and Harry Potter ❤️😢
Just Friends!!! One of my favorites. Forgiveness 😂
Some Kind of Wonderful is basically Pretty in Pink rewritten with gender roles reversed except for the ending (which was the original ending envisioned in Pretty in Pink)
Love& basketball is a great movie with awesome soundtrack! Really totally underrated!
so glad to see Some Kind of Wonderful on here, one of my favorites friends to lovers movies
I hate Watts
Emma and Dexter❤️
We were best friend since high school-being her mistress in college-got separated-having my own family-having his own 2nd family-then got pregnant with him today while we both had a families. Destiny is really testing our relationship since then what a complicate situation is.
What If and Definitely, Maybe are two of my absolute favorite romcoms of all time!
to be honest "Just friends" with Chris Brander and Jamie Palamino will always be my favorite

I was so surprised Alex and Rosie weren’t higher up, but then I saw Ron and Hermione and understood.
Yay Reality Bites is on the list! My favourite film
Alex and Rosie from Love Rosie definitely deserve a spot on this list!
SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL, yass! Best First Kiss scene everrr!!🔥❤
If The Mortal instruments series would've had been made into more than one movie and not a TV series, we would've definetly had Simon and Clary.
Omg, Definitely, Maybe is another of my favorites. Great cast, great plot, and a great ending! 😊
I thought #2 would get the #1 spot until I saw #1 and then realized nothing could top Harry and Sally for this particular list.
Don't know why, but according to me, "Boys and girls" (Claire Forlani and Freddie Prinze Jr.) is the best movie where best friends fall in love.
*MY FAVORITES:*
Matt Flamhaff and Jenna Rink - 13 Going on 30
Fred Jones and Daphne Blake - Scooby-Doo
Simba and Nala - The Lion King
Wesley Rush and Bianca Piper - The DUFF
Robbie and Julia - The Wedding Singer
Tom Bailey Jr. and Hannah - Made of Honor
Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger - Harry Potter franchise
Monica Wright and Quincy McCall - Love and Basketball
Dylan and Jamie - Friends with Benefits
Harry Burns and Sally Albright - When Harry Met Sally...
Forest Gump and Jenny Curran - Forest Gump
Happy you included Something kind of wonderful!!! Love Watts and Keith!!!
Eric Stoltz's eyes are so blue in this movie! He never looked better! Great movie!
Why is this video in my recommendations? Is it because my best friend and I finally became lovers?
And yeah, it was the best day of my life.
