  • I picked up an old New Zealand built Healing Loline. We don't see them around too often anymore, so it was worth getting rolling again.
Built in the 1970's, it was Healings answer to the Raleigh 20. Less successful, it was eventually dropped for the Healing Cruiser - a more Raleigh 20 lookalike.
Packed with a three speed hub and a built in rack, this ratty Loline is a great runabout.
Music by Bensound - thanks Bensound!

Great vid! What is the name of the tool @2:35?
I just bought a Christchurch built loline and while it's in rideable condition I want to do as you've done here. Break it down, clean and regrease everything. I'm still trying to decide if I leave it as original as possible or pimp it out with new paint, pedals, grips etc.

Thanks! - if you google pin wrench or pin spanner you will find them… Im not 100% which is the best term. I was of mixed mind re oily rag or strip down and paint too. Still considering lacing up a fixed gear to it to make it super low maintenance. Good luck whichever way the build goes!
