I've harvested several dozen hives as a younger man cutting timber. I'm not a bit afraid of them, and have never been stung raiding a hive...not once. If I did it for a living, I'm sure that would change pretty quickly. Your videos are cool. Thanks for sharing
Unusual. You are not crazy you are unusual. And very good with bees. Special thanks for that, JP. We know the bees need allies right now and you are extraordinary. Still not crazy, but there might be a certain amount of that gene in you to make it possible to do what you do!
He's just knowledgable and patient, and knows bees don't want a thing to do you with you, they want to do what they do... Help a queen, gather food, keep the colony/super organism going, and of course protect it if necessary. BMan is no threat, he is an ally for, with and in defense of honey bees.
I love watching you handle bees with such finesse. It’s almost like you were raised by them! After I was stung by wasps I started watching videos of hives being excavated but none were as interesting as yours. Keep up the good work that no one else would dare to do.
Dude I'm such a wuss I've been stung 2 times and the other day one buzzed in my ear and out of pure instinct I fell to the ground. Mad props to you for taking those stings like a pro.
I love watching you doing your magic. You should totally have your own reality show., I wouldn’t miss an episode. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming, they’re great!!!
Just found your channel yesterday. Wanted to say that I never would have thought this genre of channel would interest me. Through watching, I’ve discovered bees are very fascinating and your charismatic personality makes these videos so much fun. You could totally have your own show.
Man I bet some of these bees are intrigued by your fearlessness instead of afraid or mad lol. Crazy, I firmly believe some bees if not most are welcoming you or simply just checking you out.
JPthebeeman We need to find some bees!!! There are so many wild bees here! A neighbor a few acres away has a plum tree in flower that is loaded with bees 🐝 and other pollinators
What you do is amazing & utterly fascinating to watch. You are "The Bee Whisperer"!! You mentioned in another video that you may be a little crazy to do this . . . More than just a little, for sure. However, where would we be without folks like you? Bet you won't ever run out of work. Where do you bring them for relocation? If you put them close to where you live, do you harvest their honey?
My nearest bee yard is located approximately 10 miles from where I live but I donate many to my good buddy Schawee who keeps them in Gonzales, Louisiana. I harvest when I can but too busy to put it in stores currently. We have a list!
@@JPthebeeman Thank you so much for your reply. One day, hopefully, you'll partner with someone who can do the honey-marketing side of things full time. Thank you for sharing your skill & patience with these wonderful creatures, as well.
Bee man: I tend to laugh when the bees are upset and stinging me to death. Does that make me crazy? Me: Yes sir, I do believe that is exactly what it means.
I've always been amazed how most Americans will tend to bees without any protective gear on. I'm curious to if it's a cultural thing or something you're taught? Here in England you'd be hard pressed to find a beekeeper that isn't covered head to toe! I've always been taught it was to protect yourselves and then bees, you guys seem just fine though. It's definitely nice to see common ground in this day and age :P I've loved watching your bee videos so far though, I'll definitely be rummaging a lot more :)
I was nervous for you when you said it was in the 50's as I was watching one of the other bee guys that ain't scared either and he did the same thing ( it was cool weather ) and got popped about 50 times. Said it was the meanest swarm he had encountered, and he's like you, no suit and fearless. Cool video.
About time you got some new videos. Been watching for years, long before the gray hair got to the both of us. Glad you're doing well and hope to see more.
i remember as kids my cousin took a bat and swung and knocked a nest down the bee's chased him down the block, He came back with lumps on his forehead😂
Great video, love your videos. The tight cluster had it in for ya... they went straight for you. On the 3rd swarm, Great shots of the girls flying around your head, but it seems none went in for the sting. Keep posting, I need more 😏
It's still cool during the night and into the late morning down here.. We've been getting up to 63-68 degrees at max during the week at peak. Moving and talking when you know the bees are upset isn't crazy either... It shows that you understand what they're basically complaining about..
Hi new subscriber here. I am just amazed by your videos. I love Louisiana even though I’m in Mobile Alabama. My daughter lives on bourbon street and she invites me to visit.😂 I love that you are trying so hard to save these bees because you understand that we need them. No flower is pollinated without them. Without the bees we don’t eat. Thank you so much for everything you do for them and us because without the bees we don’t eat. Sincerely my utmost respect. My name is falicia
After a big storm I seen a swarm like that. My grandmothers friend (a Bee Keeper) came out to collect them. My grand mother lived across the field (bee hives on her farm for the fruit trees). The bees were so wet they had a hard time trying to fly. 1st time is seen a bee march.
I like your channel. I also think you are very crazy. When I was a kid I got attack by bees. My face was swollen for a week 🤕😁😁😁😁😁I love bees always have.
I don’t think I’d let bees swarm on my hand, but after watching many, many of your videos I’m much less scared of bees than I used to be. Thank you, JPthebeeman!!
I love your videos and your passion. We should save all the bees 🐝 we can. Maybe you should consider getting a better camera for better graphics. I think I could help you with your channel and I would love to see the bees in better detail. Greetings and love from a fan from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Another subtle, but important JPthebeeman technique occurs at the very beginning of this video - checking in with the bees with his hand to determine their mood. I've seen this in a few other JPthebeeman videos, but nowhere else.
Just started watching you- would love to see the ending of each swarm capture - And a follow up video to your more interesting captures. Glad to see you using the bee vac on v some of them.
You are not crazy but fearless and bees feel your no harm behavior, so you are no stranger to them, no danger no sting, also you are absolutely right to talk with them, its not a language but telepathic communication.

great video JP the beewrangler left me wanting more; I gave my girls pollen patties the other week and just because it was a little cold the little princesses were very defensive ;of course I do not talk as gentle to them as you do
J.P. that looked a bit fun, you as calm as a cucumber. Not so sure I could do that. As far as talking to bees that are mad, well I think as that is like talking to any upset animal. We do it to show we are not out to hurt them, are voice may not work with the bees, as it would a dog, or a horse. But It might work on ourselves. Did you find another queen with that second group of bees? Take care of your self, till your next one.
I still think it's amazing how you are able to spot the queen in all that.
Blows my mind
Me too

I’m just guessing but I think the bees act a certain way around the queen that stand out from the rest of the hive
