I remember actually hearing a story of a kid who was a Digimon fan & wanted to see the Digimon Movie, but who was so upset seeing the preceding Angela Anaconda short, that it ended up being the final straw that led to his parents' divorce.
Honestly baffling still that not only did Angela Anaconda exist, but it's actually a show that ISN'T about a girl who can turn into a giant snake to defeat her foes.
Apparently the reason that there is an Angela Anaconda skit before the Digimon movie was the executive responsible for the Digimon movie release just really loved Angela Anaconda and asked for that to be commissioned for no other reason
As a canadian I'm very much aware of it and watched it a lot as a kid... but never really because I wanted to, it just was sandwiched by shows I wanted to see. The voices were a bit more tolerable in french dub and the english channels I did watch for cartoons didn't air it.
yeah we had that show here in Germany as well and I roughly remember it. There were some ok running gags but it was mostly weird and goofy. FunFact: Jasmine Ellis, the original face of Angela, lives in the south of Germany since 2013, in Munich (Bavaria) to be exact and actually does theatre, music and opera stuff
I was 8 years old in 2001 and I liked both Angela Anaconda and Digimon so I guess I was in this theoretical overlap FOX though would like such a thing. Also, That middle potion of the Digimon Movie where they go into the internet is still amazing.
I'm subscribed to a youtuber and her whole channel is just about her love for the show. She's done an episode recap for every episode and readings of her own fan fiction. I dont even like the show lol

Surprised he didn't mention that 4chan story.
Eh

That guy's face is the perfect embodiment of "what am I doing with my life?"

This just unlocked a memory that I didn't realise I still had.

I remember the crossover with the digimon movie, but first I’m hearing of it being a show. It being Canadian makes so much sense.
I'm in Europe and I remember her, feels like it was yesterday

I could have went the entire rest of my life without being reminded that this show existed. Yet here I am somehow... Thanks... I hate it.
Oh god, I remember discovering this show on ABC3 around the early 2010s (yes the ABC aired it for that long)
as a Canadian I am deeply sorry for angela anaconda.
i think if you'd asked me just the title i'd say "no" but after seeing what it looks like i think i do
My sister used to hate it when I used to watch this show.
Australia shares a lot of our shows? Wow!
I believe the crossover happened because both shows were airing on Fox Kids at the same time.
Never watched the actual show, but I did watch the Digimon movie and I remember that intro.
wtf 0_0
you just unlucked some memories that I thought I didn't have.
This show was advertised a lot on SuperRTL in Germany. Never watched the actual show.
i own the digimon movie on VHS and i was very confused when i saw that at the beginning lol
We had it in France too, absolutely abysmal show
This show was also kinda known in germany.
