    THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL SONG FOR THE ELEMENTS SERIES. Just thought I'd clarify that.
    --------------------------------
    So, I noticed that this one was quite popular when I was just starting as a brony musician. I really like how this revamped version turned out. I hope you guys like it, too!
    --------------------------------
    Beautiful artwork done by DragonwolfRooke!
    --------------------------------
    Lyrics:
    (v1)
    Words are weapons sharp as knives
    You can use them wrong or right
    You could try to improvise
    But in the end it's called a lie
    You know you could
    But never should
    You never would
    (chorus)
    You could lead an army just with honesty
    Everything is plain to see and promising
    You could be deceiving now, but honestly
    You could steal a heart with just your honesty
    (v2)
    Lies can lead you to your end
    Secrets aren't much different
    You'll eventually regret
    Every word you never said
    You know you could
    But never should
    You never would
    (repeat chorus)
    (bridge)
    Don't lead me away
    Don't lead me astray
    Cause you lead the way
    (SOLO!!!)
    (repeat bridge)
    (repeat chorus)

    You are one of the best active brony musicians this community has to offer now. I am not sugar coating this at all, I am saying this with the utmost truth.

      I'll add that I liked the drumming (especially near the outro) on the original version better, but that's just me nitpicking~

      2007excalibur2007 . To each their own. However, if you go back and listen to the old one, you'll hear that the drums are very unbalanced and they drown out everything else in some parts.

    The lyrics of the song are so wise! You CAN lead an army with your honesty, really.

    I absolutely loved the original version of this song, it's certainly in my top 5 favourite Brony songs. But this is just incredible. The production is so much better and the harmonies are perfect. Well done sir.

    Honestly, I think I prefer this version to the one released by re:make, thank you for the great music, and sorry I’m a bit late to the party lol

    *Thank you for this amazing song* 4everfreebrony ! I fell in love with "Chant of Immortality" and this one as well. You have great musical diversity good sir!

      Thanks! One of the advantages of being a new musician/singer/songwriter is that you tend to cross over genre lines a lot as you try to find 'your' sound. It may make my album seem a little disjointed because of the diversity, but that's ok.

    Woohoo! The very first song of yours I heard has a new version of it. I can't contain myself from the memories of replaying the crap out of this song all those months ago. Major shoutout to AcousticBrony for liking the old version.

      If you don't know yet AcousticBrony rebranded as RE:MAKE and released the ELEMENTS album with all 6 songs like a year ago

  • @Talguy21
    @Talguy21 11 років тому

    Hey, don't suppose you could release an instrumental version of this song? I'm personally quite interested as to what that would sound like, because I like the nice blend between the traditional country guitar themes (country isn't a genre I am typically fond of, by the way) and elements from rock that would make it fit well with the element series songs. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if Andy, Jimmy, and Ed took inspiration from this one.

    • @4everfreebrony
      @4everfreebrony  11 років тому

      That'd be cool. XD But I don't think it'll happen, really.

    • @Talguy21
      @Talguy21 11 років тому

      The instrumental or the nod? =P

    • @4everfreebrony
      @4everfreebrony  11 років тому +1

      Oh, I meant if Edd, Jimmy, and Andy were inspired by this one. I'll eventually make an instrumental for this, though.

    What exactly did you change in this version? Is it just re-recording, but done "better" somehow? I can't detect a noticeable difference, though I soundly enjoy hearing this again.
    Featured in a spotlight post on EqD btw :D

    • @4everfreebrony
      @4everfreebrony  11 років тому +1

      It's mostly in the drums. That's the most noticeable difference. That, and the volume balance.
