When Evike announced these pistols at shot show I was excited, especially the XC. I got the chance to hold the EMG XC at their store and man was I disappointed. The fitment was subpar. The action was gritty as heck. I have pair of Army Armament staccatos and the action and fitment is superior to the EMG versions.
to be fair, you were holding pre-release examples. having spoke with EMG recently about these, they had some design spec issues with the first run of these that released. the batch they're waiting on now is to be identical dimensions to the real steel guns. previously, the P and C2 were almost exactly the same besides a 5mm difference in length. now they'll all be the accurate measurements all around
@@imitenotbe the version I got to see was the final retail version. If it was good I would have purchased it at the store. The dimensions were not the issue but like I said the action of the slide and frame felt horrible. However this was 6 months ago so perhaps they improved.
@@Cephas858they must have because after some cleaning and gun grease mine runs buttery smoooooth and I haven't had any issue with the slide release, mag dropping freely or any of the other issues people seem to be having. I'm at about 300 rounds so far, I got it from over seas at boomarms if that makes a difference, I've only ever used green gas as c02 will always destroy a gbbr pistol, even full upgraded steel gbb rifles can barely handle c02 so idk why people use it in their aluminum pistols but I suspect that c02 usage is a big culprit in most people's issues. Also I have the C2 not the XC as I stated above. However I'm largely considering the XC, if this one makes it past 500 rounds without issue I'm grabbing it. If nothing else I'm fine just buying parts, hoping they fit, and if not, modifying them to fit. I nodded an entire set of Glock gen 5 guts to fit into a gen 3 frame so I'm pretty sure I can modify a slide stop or trigger to work in this. *TLDR:* clean and grease your guns and never use CO2 and you'll have a wonderful experience with these.
