What are some alternatives to Sampo for playing with Kafka? I'm not pulling for Kafka, but I have friends who are who almost certainly DON'T want to run Sampo with her loool

Solid information- a lot of which I've come to the conclusion myself since I've been anticipating this character for sometime now! ^^ The only thing I wished you'd mention is the notion of rocking the "Resolution shines as pearls of sweat" LC on Sampo. I mean if you're gonna mention the Event LC for potential 2 turn ult rotation I think the Resolution def deserved a shout out, haha. But yeah, in my testing running an E1 Kafka with Luka + Sampo on Resolution the overall team damage output was more than the team damage output with Sampo running his signature EoTP LC. Of course assuming the team is outputting damage while the enemy is def broken but yeah, def seems promising from what I see!
Honestly one of the most fun characters in Star Rail and hopefully we see more of him soon. Would be fun if he smuggled the Stelaron to the Xhianzou Loufu. I hope I get Eyes of prey to high SI on Kafka LC Banner so I can Upgrade his chest to Atk% and then his boots to Speed
Yup.For now maybe my DoT team will be Kafka+Sampo+Pela+Healer/Gepard.This comp will be completed when Black Swan released in the future to take Pela place.She can spam def down with her skill,and give DoT vulnerability too like sampo Ult that i think will stack because almost every debuff on this game can be stacked. The other good choice in the future is Ruan Mei,although she is Ice character Harmony,her kit buffed weakness break that is good for DoT team too

While this comment isn’t really based around Sampo, in the Kafka Mains discord. They have a team comp for “AOE” and “Single Target” DOT w/ Kafka being pair w/ Sampo for the AOE team while Luka for the Single-Target team. Pela/SW/ and AST can be used as the debuffer in these teams and a Solo Sustain for survivability. Just wanted to get your opinion on this Guoba

Question, with his lightcone at S5 giving 40% EHR and traces giving 18% EHR, does that mean just ~ >10% EHR from substats will be enough? or would I still need to place an EHR body? Oke now reading the spreadsheet and found Eyes of Prey, i guess you still want to focus as much as possible on EHR and ATK%, but ATK% chest becomes viable is there any spreadsheet somewhere like when silverwolf and the enemy resistances came out to denote "with x% Base Chance, you need y% EHR to reach z% of real application chance"?

So many characters to build but so few resources :( I barely built almost 'decent' Blade, just pulled Gepard from standard and there is Kafka, Sampo and Serval on priority list now. Meanwhile trying to build Jing Yuan when farming for Kafka relics xD
Yes she is. Dot teams (without kafka) are nowhere near comperable with normal dps teams. If you want to have dot teams to do a good amount of damage you really need kafka. (in particular when they will add new dot character who might also be 5 stars in the future that will be better than Sampo or Luka )
Great vid. We love to see pro Shampoo propaganda. I'm probably gonna run Grandpa Welt as my debuffer for the time being. I can't afford to build my Pela right now. I love Welt, but I worry that he's too skill point hungry for a team that wants to use Kafka's and Sampo's skills a bunch.

One of the most underrated character in the current roster. He's ability to churn out DOT and increase DOT vulnerability by 30% makes him a great partner for Kafka and Black Swan (future 5* nihility who reduces effect resistance).

literally got him today from std banner and it was a huge surprise, last 4-star character whom i missed from the roster, he came home sooner than i expected x) i was there thinking 'hmm im running out of nihility light cones, i need another one' and from 20 lvl Sampo ascend warp i got GNSW.. sounds like a dream and now im scared XD or maybe its a good sign vice versa, nihility is my favorite path and im really interested in DoT team, cant wait to pull Kafka qwq GL to everyone whos pulling ^^ the video couldnt have been more timely, thank u Guoba!

I've been aiming for Luka with a Kafka/DoT/SW/sustain team, but I'm definitely leaning more towards Sampo lately. Silver Wolf and sustain can be quite SP positive and Luka would add even more SP to that, vs Sampo can use skill points to proc DoTs at E4; Luka can only spam skill for bleeding different targets or getting an extra Fighting Will stack. Plus it seems like Sampo's Eidolons are stronger than Luka's. Any thoughts on how they compare?
Kafka E-2 feels so tempting for dot teams. Dot team seems way too expensive for F2P and low spenders, unless you have prepared specifically for that Dot team this month
who should i run if i don't have a solo sustain with gepard or luocha? do i run double sustain (preservation and healer) or still run a single sustain with pela?

Nice vid I like that you mentioned the multiple hit counts on Sampo's abilities. Makes his talent application relatively reliable. When Kafka comes out, I'd be interested in seeing how he compares head to head with Luka / Serval as a Kafka partner. I know that weakness matters, but still an interesting Q for neutral fights. Also, wondering if bringing Resolution (Sweat) is worth it for overall team DPS. Putting that on a non DPS nihility would be better ofc, but I cannot bear to take Tutorial off of Silver Wolf
(guoba delete this if it's leaks) resolution is a good option, but requires s5 to work consistently with sampo (works better on luka on lower S level due to consistent multihit skills). both eyes of prey and gnsw are fantastic as mentioned in the video, and compared to them, resolution decreases sampo's individual dps to increase kafka's, but overall still comes out slightly behind the other two. however it's absolutely still quite strong and can be an amazing option if you have it at s5 and the other two 4*s at lower superimposition, for example.

I've been looking for a guide on the DoT characters since I'm planning to pull for Kafka :) Quick question: Do you have any opinions on the interaction between freeze and DoT's ? In that, when an enemy thaws out of freeze, it will still proc any DoTs on them, potentially increasing DoT DPS over a long fight. If this is worth it, then potentially teammates like Pela or Gepard might have higher value on DoT teams for their ability to freeze (Pela from ice breaks and Gepard through his skill).

My team for Kafka is Kafka, Gepard, Pela and Sampo imo it's a really skill point positive team. Since Pela and Gepard will both be farming for skill points the only issue is that you do have to speed tune Gepard and Pela in order to generate more skill points
Great guide once again! I'm wondering though, is a triple DoT team with Kafka/Sampo/Luka really that underwhelming in terms of damage compared to a double DoT team? I've been thinking of running it for a while now but I already have a fair amount of investment into Silver Wolf so if the damage is not that great in comparison I'd rather not bother as a F2P. I understand the survivability concerns, but it seemed to me like Luka in particular would be able to offer pretty high damage with his bleed and the damage buff on his ultimate.
@@guobacertified Isn't that fine in MoC since most of the time you're singling out one target while dealing with weaker additional enemies anyway? You could use Kafka and Sampo to deal with the adds and then focus down a higher priority target more efficiently with Luka.
Mate I hv a doubt regarding blade. So suppose I have 5k Max hp with him and I hv lost 1500 hp(3500 current hp). So when I ult my hp will go down to 2500. Will the 1000 hp lost in this case be added to current ult's hp lost amount?
Been thinking about building him just to break wind since I don't have *any* wind characters built, but I'm not sure that's the best call since I'm still trying to max the characters I use most in MoC... That damn gorilla boss though is taunting me by having weakness to the elements I use least. If I'm not planning on pulling Kafka is it worth building Sampo for that?
guoba im very confused about something math wise. you said that pan galactic is better than space stealing station at 57%+ EHR. But at 57% EHR, taking 25% of that translates to 14.25% attack. While space stealing station gives 24% attack as long as you have 120 speed. and you suggested we use speed boots on him, so i'd assume achieving 120 speed is not difficult How is pan galactic better if it's only giving a 14.25% attack boost while SSS is giving 24%? do SSS or Pan Galactic's calculations work differently than i thought
Eh it seems you need to farm a lot for Serval and Sampo and thats for a Kafka team and that's not even mentioning investment in her as well.. maybe I'll skip her
My Europe account unintentionally became a Sampo main account. I'm only AR 27 on that account but I already got him e1 and got two Eyes of the Prey. I am skipping Kafka on my main but I'll try for her on the EU account. Hoping at the very least I get more Sampo Eidolons and a Luka.
Nice guide! Confirmed a lot of what I had planned to do with Sampo to pair with Kafka. Having said this, wondering what your reasoning is for 67% EHR? I realize that you picked that to guarantee the ult proc, however his wind shear procs will miss ~24% of the time on elites and ~35% of the time on the higher res bosses. Obviously there's a tradeoff here between proc guarantees and getting more damage stats, but was wondering if your conclusion is something along the lines of "the ramp up may take longer but once it's up it's very unlikely to fall off"? There's only about a ~24% chance of getting all stacks with one skill + basic use on an elite for instance, even less so on eg Svarog. Asking because I had been wondering this myself when planning the build
The guide states 67% ehr to guarantee the vuln, then get other stats before investing more. And you have plenty of occasions to get wind shears, 3 from basic, 5-6 from skill ,4 from ult, etc
@@guobacertified Yeah I realize that, but the ramp up will take longer on higher resistance bosses, significantly so in some cases - which is why I asked about how you looked at it. I think my assumption is correct in how you look at it, that you're willing to sacrifice ramp up to get higher damage in the long run
Hi thank you for this however I am still confused on how to do build Sampo. Ive been so confused been farming for the break effect and wind set. I dont know what is best and also when it comes to ornaments I have no clue. Should I lean more towards energy regeneration? Also I don't have his signature light cone and I leveled up the free light cone of Silverwolf. Just dont know what to build up and I just need 2 simple build thank you. Also I'm not going to have Kafka just building him for wind toughness for Aoe
Man its hard to decide which one to build, either Serval/Sampo/Luka. I have a semi built E2 Serval (lvl 50), lvl 20 E0 Sampo with lvl 1 eyes of prey, also a S2 good night. I guess I'm just gonna farm the exp book/LC exp until Kafka comes out and wait for guides 😅
I wonder if you can find a middle ground between break and dot Sampo? For example going for Thief and Talia, but with atk spd wind atk mainstats. That way if you break all is well, if you don’t or face non-wind weak enemies that’s still fine. Did you run some tests about it?
Heya! Would it make sense to put welt as debuffer on third slot? Is his vulnerability application and subdps capabilities good enough to justify that? (also kafka gets to go multiple times before enemy turn to manually detonate dots?)

I'm probably the one of the few building Kafka for Sampo and not the other way around. Love his character and playstyle but DoTs are a bit eh rn. Hopefully I can get some good LCs too while pulling, only have Fermata and the event one.

You can run DoT regardless, but Kafka will make them much stronger by fixing some of their problems and bringing her own 5* DoTs to the table

I've been aiming for Luka with a Kafka/DoT/SW/sustain team, but I'm definitely leaning more towards Sampo lately. Silver Wolf and sustain can be quite SP positive and Luka would add even more SP to that, vs Sampo can use skill points to proc DoTs at E4; Luka can only spam skill for bleeding different targets or getting an extra Fighting Will stack. Plus it seems like Sampo's Eidolons are stronger than Luka's. Any thoughts on how they compare?

Kafka E-2 feels so tempting for dot teams. Dot team seems way too expensive for F2P and low spenders, unless you have prepared specifically for that Dot team this month

Nice vid I like that you mentioned the multiple hit counts on Sampo's abilities. Makes his talent application relatively reliable.
When Kafka comes out, I'd be interested in seeing how he compares head to head with Luka / Serval as a Kafka partner. I know that weakness matters, but still an interesting Q for neutral fights.
Also, wondering if bringing Resolution (Sweat) is worth it for overall team DPS. Putting that on a non DPS nihility would be better ofc, but I cannot bear to take Tutorial off of Silver Wolf

resolution is a good option, but requires s5 to work consistently with sampo (works better on luka on lower S level due to consistent multihit skills). both eyes of prey and gnsw are fantastic as mentioned in the video, and compared to them, resolution decreases sampo's individual dps to increase kafka's, but overall still comes out slightly behind the other two. however it's absolutely still quite strong and can be an amazing option if you have it at s5 and the other two 4*s at lower superimposition, for example.

Thanks for the video! I've been looking for a guide on the DoT characters since I'm planning to pull for Kafka :) Quick question: Do you have any opinions on the interaction between freeze and DoT's ? In that, when an enemy thaws out of freeze, it will still proc any DoTs on them, potentially increasing DoT DPS over a long fight.
If this is worth it, then potentially teammates like Pela or Gepard might have higher value on DoT teams for their ability to freeze (Pela from ice breaks and Gepard through his skill).
Since kafka will frontload it wont matter too much, but yeah its a nice tech

My team for Kafka is
Kafka, Gepard, Pela and Sampo imo it's a really skill point positive team. Since Pela and Gepard will both be farming for skill points the only issue is that you do have to speed tune Gepard and Pela in order to generate more skill points

Great guide once again! I'm wondering though, is a triple DoT team with Kafka/Sampo/Luka really that underwhelming in terms of damage compared to a double DoT team? I've been thinking of running it for a while now but I already have a fair amount of investment into Silver Wolf so if the damage is not that great in comparison I'd rather not bother as a F2P. I understand the survivability concerns, but it seemed to me like Luka in particular would be able to offer pretty high damage with his bleed and the damage buff on his ultimate.
They dont have a specific damage focus so its kinda a mix match of aoe and single target, so IMO bringing 2 of 3 then a buffer/debuffer is better
@@guobacertified Isn't that fine in MoC since most of the time you're singling out one target while dealing with weaker additional enemies anyway? You could use Kafka and Sampo to deal with the adds and then focus down a higher priority target more efficiently with Luka.
Mate I hv a doubt regarding blade. So suppose I have 5k Max hp with him and I hv lost 1500 hp(3500 current hp). So when I ult my hp will go down to 2500. Will the 1000 hp lost in this case be added to current ult's hp lost amount?

Been thinking about building him just to break wind since I don't have *any* wind characters built, but I'm not sure that's the best call since I'm still trying to max the characters I use most in MoC... That damn gorilla boss though is taunting me by having weakness to the elements I use least. If I'm not planning on pulling Kafka is it worth building Sampo for that?
For toughness dmg itll be nice to have, but you can gain a similar effect with dan heng ^^

guoba im very confused about something math wise.
you said that pan galactic is better than space stealing station at 57%+ EHR. But at 57% EHR, taking 25% of that translates to 14.25% attack. While space stealing station gives 24% attack as long as you have 120 speed. and you suggested we use speed boots on him, so i'd assume achieving 120 speed is not difficult
How is pan galactic better if it's only giving a 14.25% attack boost while SSS is giving 24%? do SSS or Pan Galactic's calculations work differently than i thought

= 24 ATK from SSS

My Europe account unintentionally became a Sampo main account. I'm only AR 27 on that account but I already got him e1 and got two Eyes of the Prey. I am skipping Kafka on my main but I'll try for her on the EU account. Hoping at the very least I get more Sampo Eidolons and a Luka.

Nice guide! Confirmed a lot of what I had planned to do with Sampo to pair with Kafka. Having said this, wondering what your reasoning is for 67% EHR? I realize that you picked that to guarantee the ult proc, however his wind shear procs will miss ~24% of the time on elites and ~35% of the time on the higher res bosses. Obviously there's a tradeoff here between proc guarantees and getting more damage stats, but was wondering if your conclusion is something along the lines of "the ramp up may take longer but once it's up it's very unlikely to fall off"? There's only about a ~24% chance of getting all stacks with one skill + basic use on an elite for instance, even less so on eg Svarog. Asking because I had been wondering this myself when planning the build
The guide states 67% ehr to guarantee the vuln, then get other stats before investing more. And you have plenty of occasions to get wind shears, 3 from basic, 5-6 from skill ,4 from ult, etc
@@guobacertified Yeah I realize that, but the ramp up will take longer on higher resistance bosses, significantly so in some cases - which is why I asked about how you looked at it. I think my assumption is correct in how you look at it, that you're willing to sacrifice ramp up to get higher damage in the long run

I dont know what is best and also when it comes to ornaments I have no clue.
Should I lean more towards energy regeneration?

I wonder if you can find a middle ground between break and dot Sampo? For example going for Thief and Talia, but with atk spd wind atk mainstats. That way if you break all is well, if you don’t or face non-wind weak enemies that’s still fine. Did you run some tests about it?

I'm probably the one of the few building Kafka for Sampo and not the other way around. Love his character and playstyle but DoTs are a bit eh rn.
