  • Learn Arabic with Madrasatuna!
    This Free online Arabic programme is based on the comprehensive and popular course (ARABIC COURSE for English-speaking students), originally devised and taught at Madinah Islamic University.
    The course consists of three reasonably short but extensive books. In these series of videos we will go through book 1.
    Download a PDF copy of the book:

    Here are all the new words from this video:

    As Muslims, I'm sure we're all familiar that studying Arabic is very important, but here are some additional (materialistic) reasons why a person would study Arabic:
    Arabic is the 5th most commonly spoken native language in the world!
    There is a high demand and low supply of Arabic-speakers in the Western world!
    Arabic-speaking nations are a fast-growing market for trade, and various government organisations around the world consider Arabic to be of ‘critical importance’!
    Arabic-speaking people have made significant contributions to the world civilizations!
    The Arab-speaking world has a rich cultural heritage!

    - It is used to show possession.
    Structure of Idafah:
    The Iḍāfah construction consists of two nouns:

    2. Muḍāf ilayh (مُضاف إليه)
    1. Muḍāf (مُضاف)
    - The first noun in the construction.

    - The second noun in the construction.
    - It is the possessor or the noun that specifies the Muḍāf.

    Jazakallah khair shaykh for the nice explanation. I learned the book 1 over 2 year ago and now reviewing this help me recall my memory and the concepts. I especially like how you are clarifying each each exercise and glossing over without taking much time. May Allah reward you abundantly.

    BaarakAllaahu feek for these videos, they are great. I have a question about the mudaaf: In what cases would it be in the mansoob/majroor state apart from being preceded by a harf jarr?

    • @Madrasatuna
      @Madrasatuna  2 роки тому +1

      وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته
      You should assume it to have a dhammah ending unless you learn a rule to suggest otherwise. Here there's nothing causing it to end with kasrah, so it remains with dhammah.

    • @Madrasatuna
      @Madrasatuna  2 роки тому +1

      We didn't learn that. The rule you mentioned is referring to hurooful Jarr (prepositions). Ayna is not a harf jarr.

    @Madrasatuna | مدرستنا Ustadh,I m currently studying the chapter 5 about mudaaf .. I got a doubt.. the sentence is
    [هي تحت المكتب]
    while في،علي،من، ءلي comes under harf ... How تحت (under -which is similar to- in ,on ,to ,from )is coming under noun... The تحت here is referred as mudaaf .. and mudaaf is always noun right?
