Listen to No Bullets Fly. It's one of my personal favorite stories from WWII, about a German pilot that risked his life to escort a heavily damaged American Bomber to friendly skies. The physical state of a man is the result of the previous month. The mental state of a man is the result of his lifetime. When you think you've given it your all, in reality, you've only given 10%. Human generations are no better or worse than the others. Evolution does not happen that quickly. As long as there is a will, we will persevere. If you'd like, compare the generations who fought in the comfy mechanized war of WWII to those who had to go through the gruelling muds of WWI. Normandy was nothing compared to Gallipoli. And if you go even further back, you will find more and more harsh and inhuman situations where scores of men have been forced to endure hardship of increasingly terrible nature. The "trajectory" is obvious, because technology helps us improve.
I agree that technology helps move us forward and makes life a better place to live but there is also no denying that many become reliant upon technology and comforts which cause them to not learn certain skills to survive in the event they no longer have technology to lean on. Much love and respect 👊🙏
@@TheMMADad Yeah, that is true, but has probably been a sentiment shared throughout the ages. "What are these newfangled compasses? A mariner needs to be able to navigate by the stars!" "These new farmers are all weak, relying on Traction Engines to work their fields. Real men know how to plow with an ox!" "Yes yes, your copper hatchet is quite sharp, but unless you know how to fashion tools out of flint, can you even survive against mammoths?" Should we seek to improve the physical fitness of the nation? Most definitely. Obesity is a killer. But I don't think modern humans are any less capable than our forefathers. It's just a matter of teaching them the skills they'll need. The Normandy landings weren't conducted by men nabbed off the streets, but rehersed and re-rehersed until everyone knew what to expect and do their job.
whitescar2 absolutely. It’s the skill building that is the most important and learning to be prepared. You will have no argument from me. The fortunately I run into people far to often who don’t take the time to build those skills because they don’t feel the need to.

ua-cam.com/video/r5D3wSqdIG4/v-deo.html The history channel video for this song, i love watching them and the reaction from a history teacher to them, song it self is crazy good and catchy. Imagine the size of the balls on those very young men sitting in planes from WW1 flying straight into the fire of a massive battleship, just crazy.
you are wrong about the "weak" youth. people are always the same. if you force the youth to fight, they would do the same like the guys from ww1, ww2 or vietnam, because they have no other choice left then to fight or die. the funny part is, before ww2, the older generation was complaining about the weak, lazy youth as well. and then these guys fought in ww2^^ some make it, some die, and luck plays a big role to. you can be the badest dude the world ever saw, if you stand at the wrong time, at the wrong place, you are dead meat!
What you said about the younger generations being weaker is absolutely true. Back in WW2 teenagers would lie about their age to be able to get to the front line and serve their country. But now they get offended and start crying if you call someone he or she instead of them. Society is getting weaker and weaker for sure

"What are these newfangled compasses? A mariner needs to be able to navigate by the stars!"
"These new farmers are all weak, relying on Traction Engines to work their fields. Real men know how to plow with an ox!"
"Yes yes, your copper hatchet is quite sharp, but unless you know how to fashion tools out of flint, can you even survive against mammoths?"
Should we seek to improve the physical fitness of the nation? Most definitely. Obesity is a killer. But I don't think modern humans are any less capable than our forefathers. It's just a matter of teaching them the skills they'll need. The Normandy landings weren't conducted by men nabbed off the streets, but rehersed and re-rehersed until everyone knew what to expect and do their job.
whitescar2 absolutely. It’s the skill building that is the most important and learning to be prepared. You will have no argument from me. The fortunately I run into people far to often who don’t take the time to build those skills because they don’t feel the need to.
if you liked this check out devil dogs its about the US marines in WW1 at the battle of bellaeau wood there is another channel they have called sabaton history that talks about the history of what the song is about
Thank you so much my friend I for sure can’t wait to get to that one 👊🙏
bismark was 1 of the 3 big ships of the axis
bismark (germany)
yamato (japan)
roma (italy)
england and allies was afraid of that monster because it could bring havoc in the sea and destroy USA naval convoys, so the order was simple, destroy the bismark
in the other hand, kriegsmarine order was to avoid combat and kill convoy ships for stop the USA help europe
in the moment an USA catalina bomber spotted the bismark in the atlantic, his fate was sealed
all avaible royale navy was send to destroy the bismark, the terror of the seas
the kriegsmarine lost his best battleship and the power over the atlantic and never recover from that episode
Great conmentary. Check out Blind Guardian :)

The history channel video for this song, i love watching them and the reaction from a history teacher to them, song it self is crazy good and catchy.
Imagine the size of the balls on those very young men sitting in planes from WW1 flying straight into the fire of a massive battleship, just crazy.
Facts. As a Gen Z it is embarrassing how much balls are lacking
Yes, you pronounce the name Sabaton correct.
PetterVessel thank goodness haha I am horrible sometime at pronunciation 👊🙏
Hey they made attack of the deadmen a fortress of few defenders been gassed that should have killed them but refused
you are wrong about the "weak" youth. people are always the same.
if you force the youth to fight, they would do the same like the guys from ww1, ww2 or vietnam, because they have no other choice left then to fight or die.
the funny part is, before ww2, the older generation was complaining about the weak, lazy youth as well. and then these guys fought in ww2^^
some make it, some die, and luck plays a big role to. you can be the badest dude the world ever saw, if you stand at the wrong time, at the wrong place, you are dead meat!
What you said about the younger generations being weaker is absolutely true. Back in WW2 teenagers would lie about their age to be able to get to the front line and serve their country. But now they get offended and start crying if you call someone he or she instead of them. Society is getting weaker and weaker for sure
dont like the dissing of todays troops. they are that young soft generation you are talking about.
