Anton, I have a question, Can you get the right sound for this out of stock Strat pickups, or would you need to install, say Seymour Duncan Blackouts, or EMG 60s, like 4 and 7 have on their Strat and Ibanez/Jackson? also, if you haven't done a rig rundown yet (I'm new to your channel), what kind of pickups are on all your guitars?
Seth Hubbard Well keep in mind that every pick up has its different tones, even if its the same pick up. Single coils are for more versatile use, used for a lot of genres of playing. What Anton has of course on this schecter are humbuckers. Humbuckers are for more heavier, crunchier, distorted clean playing. If you really want to go for a HEAVY tone like slipknot does, go and research on active (or passive, up to you) pick ups, perhaps test some out, and see which ones you'd like on your strat. You could get the emgs kirk hamlett pre wired pick guard with the 81/81 combo, and then swap out the 81 on the neck for a 60 if you want. idk, pick ups are sometimes mostly up to personal preference. this is just my input on it
watch Jim root’s how-to that he did on Fret12, it’s really cool the little things he adds in and makes the song sound way cooler

with that much distortion you usually use ghe bridge as the bass from the neck pickup is a ugly muddy like distortion, and the neck brings out the trebbles more, thus giving a clearer, better sounding distortion
