Props to @sam Bishop who commented it first. Growing up I was labeled a “gifted kid”,because i could read faster,and comprehend books with a higher reading level,and I was pretty good at math too. Once middle school hit i lost all motivation to do school work,and study. Still get barely passing grades and no sleep hahaha had yet another mental breakdown while listening to music.

Really I think this line is taking the few things she still knows about herself and grousing herself with them. That happens to me when I’m depressed I don’t know who I am anymore but I know a few things about myself and what I like.

No that’s not true... at least in high school I have friends. I’ve known them since 7th grade when my social anxiety was bad, but not so bad that I can’t talk to people. My friends know where they’re going to college, and I’m probably not going to go where they go because even if I get in, which I might because I’m in all AP classes (although I have so much overdue work my gpa will be about a 0.1 by the end of the year) I can’t afford it. I’m probably going to a community college. I won’t know anyone, and I will be to scared to talk to any of them. I won’t “love” anyone. I won’t know who drops out. I won’t know who dies or commits suicide. I’ll end up flunking out by the end of sophomore year. Tl:dr, I have my future all planned out, and let’s just say it doesn’t look bright.

This song literally describes the feelings of my first weeks of school. So hard cause I had 2 heavy subjects and less than a few weeks to do it all. I was having no breaks and stayed up late just to catch up to my classmates. I feel better now after dropping bio cause I can actually learn and hone in on what I'm learning rather than just attempt to survive 2 subjects with heavy course load and less than a few months to do it all.

I'm unsure of if it's some sort of mental phenomena or what, but I've always had this feeling like I might die tomorrow, or that I'll die young. When I try to imagine myself older, I just can't do it. It doesn't seem like something that would happen, and I'm considering not even investing into retirement funds because the feeling seems so palpable, so I might as well carefully use my money while I'm younger. Apparently, my grandmother felt the same way, so perhaps it's a chemical thing to think that way? Food for thought.

It's interesting to have someone else have this feeling, and express it into song. I'm unsure of if it's some sort of mental phenomena or what, but I've always had this feeling like I might die tomorrow, or that I'll die young. When I try to imagine myself older, I just can't do it. It doesn't seem like something that would happen, and I'm considering not even investing into retirement funds because the feeling seems so palpable, so I might as well carefully use my money while I'm younger. Apparently, my grandmother felt the same way, so perhaps it's a chemical thing to think that way? Food for thought.
