If we need God to prosper us then God is failing miserably at his job. He's doing a very poor job indeed.🤷♂️ Remember the men of God who took his life called men of faith?? One of the reasons he committed suicide was because of the financial situation he was in. To put it simply, God failed him. Ooh the Africans who go to church hoping to have God change their financial situation but nothing is ever changing??? All they get is promises and promises but never an actual change. This issue needs to be understood rightly. This things is about perspective. Is it everyone who follows Jesus that will be rich? Were the Apostles rich? Was the early church rich? Meanwhile was Pilate rich? Will every Christian be rich? Will every Christian be poor? Will every ritualist be rich, will they all be poor? Yes the Bible says 'God will supply our needs according to His riches in glory' yet did the writer have all his needs met? Knowing that man's needs is insatiable, will God supply insatiable needs? The bible is a double edged sword, that is why it looks like it contradicts itself. In the word of GOD , there's a lot of balancing to do and a lot of wisdom to apply. Don't stay on one side of the sharp sword but balance in the middle knowing both sides. The bible tells us GOD is LOVE but it also says GOD is a god of wrath, a consuming fire. WISDOM is very KEY.
Well, i believe both Abel Damina and Orokpo are saying the same thing, emphasis are just different. I believe, most believers run after material things, and loose focus on the gospel, and i believe the reason for this is because of the many messages about material things etc. If we have preachers who can balance the scriptures, i believe we will be ok.
