“Banner forgot. Hulk don’t forget. Hulk have multiple pHDs and doctorate”
Everyone think doctorate is a girl doctor but Hulk a boy doctor
“Everyone call hulk “monster” and “natural disaster” but never doctor. Hulk have high education but banner only get recognition.”
@@NewbieTorque “All Hulk friends saying mean things. Hurt Hulk feelings. Hulk a big strong boy outside, but soft inside”
Dude I haven't heard this Shaq joke in forever
Bro it would be the most hilarious thing of all if in one AU, banner is a meat head and all the academic preformance is owed to the Hulk personality.
There was a comic where Tony Stark questions if Spider-Man can stick to "anything" by challenging him to stick to the Hulk, expecting self-preservation to work against Spider-Man. Shockingly, Peter sticks to and hangs from Hulk's arms with no hesitation. Shocked by his self-control, Tony asks Hulk why he'd allow Spider-Man to do that.
Hulk replies, "Spider-Man is Hulk's friend."
Hulk no hurt good person
I used to have that comic
Lowkey adorable I'm ngl
What’s it called?
And Spider-Man wouldn't have done it if there'd been any danger
The fact that Hulk acknowledges Bruce as his older brother makes me smile
Also, the fact that Spiderman offered to keep the Hulk inside him says a lot of his character as well. He knew little of what it's like to personally have Hulk raging inside, but still wanted to offer his help to Bruce. I've always liked Peter, writing or not, that's commendable as hell.
Not me. Bruce IS hulk. We've seen several times where banner flies into a rage all without having the gamma transformation.
Hulk calling himself his big brother is sad and only shows how fractured and insane Bruce is.
@@taipao6661 Especially as later comics show that Hulk is fueled by his vessel's Rage/anger/hatred suppressed or not. Hulk with his own body looks like a man who suffered from Starvation. Hulk hiimself generally has no intense anger, no hatred towards others, its quite literally all Banner's repressed emotions that cause Hulk to be what he is. Peter's own anger towards Norman isn't as strong as Banner's overall hate, hence why he is honestly scrawny compared to Banner's Hulk.
Its why World War Hulk is essentially the epitome of physical strength. It wasn't just Banner's repressed emotions fueling him now. Hulk himself was angry, for his people as king, for his beloved family as a husband and father, utterly hellbent on vengeance for the ones he believed responsible for their deaths.
They need their own bodies.
@@East_Coast_Toasty_Boythey did make a movie about it called "hulk vs thor" on which loki separated Bruce from Hulk in order to take control and beat Thor but that went wrong and the Hulk was let loose on Asgard so its not that great of a idea but who knows now with immortal hulk being one of the more human versions yet is still the Hulk unlike say professor Hulk who is neither characters
Why is it that every other writer handles Spider-Man better than the writers of his own book?
Because it's a written rule that peters life sucks in the 616 it's why the new ultimate is kinda refreshing
@@curtisfeagan5224
Probably a combination of rotating writers and editorial mandate. When he guest stars the writers get a lot of freedom compared to mandates in his own series.
@@curtisfeagan5224 Yeah in the new ultimate in a way it's kinda saying that the rule was implemented only to spiderman not peter cause peter had his best years when he wasn't spiderman but that whre MAry jane is still there.. I'd like it if it were gwen but it's still solid
@@idontknow56967 gwen and peter had a toxic relationship, he didn't trust her with knowing he was spider man, she hates spiderman and blames him for her dad's death and he sees all his flaws when he sees her because she reminds him of his mistakes and inability to tell her the truth, the entire thing was awful for both of them at the fault of neither, it's best they aren't together
@@malcire Think we've seen the "Editorial Mandate". Nah, that's just the writers being incompetent, cause "you must make Peter's life suck" wasn't on it. THe mandate didn't mention that.
Everyone always says: "Aaah, it's the Hulk"
But never "how's hulk?"
this one makes me sad....
In my defense, the only time I met the hulk is when he threw my car at someone, or that time he accidentally rammed into my house, and that one time when hulk went on a rampage and nearly flatten me, thankfully ironman was there in this giant bulky suit, not the one he usually has.
😂😂
@@benjaminforehand7139 In his defense, he was under the control of Scarlet Witch. I also didn't like how the MCU depicted Hulk.
Or why is Hulk?
I love how in almost every iteration, Hulk has some respect for Spiderman and considers him a friend.
thats because spiderman doesn't kill. just like hulk. they both dont kill and struggle to protect people. thus he respects him for it.
@@si2foo Nah I think it's more about the fact that Spider-Man isn't an oppresive agent in the Marvel universe, ofc he would do anything in his power to stop evil-doers but he is not here to tell you what others should do or not, unlike many powers like the Avengers or even the X-Men, Peter Parker is just Spider-Man, he doesn't represent any authority and Hulk hates being told.
@@si2fooi love seeing people absolutely pull bullshit right out of their ass with total confidence like this😂😂😂😂😂
@@BGatts666honestly I think it comes down to one of the earlier avengers comics, where spiderman tries to join the avengers and they task him with helping them track down the hulk to capture him who has been on a rampage.
Spiderman first fights the hulk but quickly realizes that the hulk did almost all of the damage because he was trying to protect innocent civilians from danger (like stopping a little girl from getting hit by a speeding car by taking the impact himself) or by trying to run away from the police, military and avengers. When spiderman realized this he helped hulk find a quiet place in the mountains to be away from people in peace and then told the avengers he lost the hulk and then said “maybe I’m not quite ready for the avengers” before leaving them. Only to miss the part where the avengers talk about how it’s a shame spiderman couldn’t find hulk as Mr fantastic was working on a device to help Bruce banner better control the hulk
@@sootythunder3111 Yep I remembered this one while writing my little essay, but the avengers, the way they just chose to keep Spidey in the dark about their true motives, are a little too out of character (for the sake of the story, I understand that) so I kind of disregard it.
Early Marvel (well, Stan lee era, not the 40s marvel) stories are fun though, they don't drag at all, one issue and every current problem is solved.
Spider-man with a Hulk transformation is probably one of the most terrifyingly broken combinations I've seen in a while. An agile, incredibly acrobatic Hulk with an extreme power amp, the ability to climb walls and shoot webs, with the heightened third-person awareness of the spider-sense??
Big yikes.
Wait till you read the Spider-Goblin issues 😉
Nah, still doesn't compare to World War Hulk. Hulk gets his strength from his host's personal anger/hate. Peter has it, but honestly, look at how small his Hulk form is compared to Banner's. His powers simply make his smaller form a more Compact Hulk. A bit stronger and better reflexes, but otherwise, won't be competing with an actually pissed off Banner Hulk.
Is there anything more terrifying than that? Hulked out Wolverine maybe?
@@Prince_Smugarina
Small doesn't mean weaker, you can tell that spider hulk is still more or less the same general build as Spiderman.
be pretty scary if Hulk found a red lantern ring.
I like oh Loki thought he helped Bruce until spidey said hulk was in him now, and Loki’s like, “shit, my bad g, let fix that.”
I think that this was during that stretch where loki was genuinely trying to clean up his act
And actually i'm not sure if he reverted back to full blown villiany or became more like mythological loki afterwards
@@Emily12471they're still an anti-hero. good fella but sometimes does bad shit for a good result or accidentally fucks up.
@@NatiTheCutie like in this instance, where Loki was genuinely trying to do banner a solid, and didn't realize that the hulking out would go to someone else?
@Emily12471 mhmm!! exactly. or taking away a planets "sun" because that sun was actually an explosion being held together by a single man for millions of years. he begs to die after being brutally scarred, giving him mercy and now magically containing the bomb because its part of an ancient artifact he built and needs to reacquire the pieces to, as its way too overpowered to be left out in the universe, and his fault it accidentally scattered.
Even gods makes mistakes.
I love moments when a Hulk-less Banner proves himself heroic.
He's free of the Hulk. Like, he's *free,* like he usually wants, but passing the Hulk off on a friend or allowing the wrong hands access to it, it's just a bridge too far for him.
"I don't want this burden, but I'll be damned if anyone innocent must shoulder it, and I would rather die than see it fall into the wrong hands. So bear it I shall."
Bruce Banner is stronger, in spirit, than any of the other Marvel heroes.
It reminds me of that comic scan when Rogue of the X-Men accidentally stole Blaze's connection to Zarathos and temporarily became a Ghost Rider. I say temporarily because the pain of the it was too great, and she begged Johnny to take it back, which he did despite hating Zarathos.
"You did a healthy amount of smashing, but you never tried to hurt me" said Step Bruce
bruh
Uncle Bruce B: With a healthy amount of smashing comes great destruction
Peter: 😅
Oh my...
Hulk is a hero with enormous pain in his soul
@@nikoszparaszkevopulosz5522 and a rocky taste in his mouth
I think he had a very traumatic back story. His father was an alcoholic and physically abusive towards his mother.
That’s why I never understood why people hated the Incredible Hulk movie so much. It wasn’t the best movie of all time but it was a very authentic hulk movie and people always hated on it. Now we have freaking love and thunder and black widow and whatever else they come out with that I don’t even keep up with. Great job folks
Thing is hulk before the accident was just a splinter of banner's mind from his childhood hence why most versions had very good relationships with Spidey and other kind hearted goobers or had more soft interests like earths mightiest heros/avengers assemble hulk had glass figurine collection he's basically a child saddled with all of the rage of banner that he could never express or get over it's why world war hulk was dangerous he was finally actually angry himself
@@ishma2100yeah, and hulk was originally an imaginary friend he escaped to that he imagined would be strong enough to protect him from anything, then the gamma radiation just.. made it real. At his core, hulk wants to protect Bruce
I hope the comic book detail about The Incredible Hulk liking animals becomes a common detail used with the character.
I love the Avengers Assemble that shows Hulk having a glass or crystal figurine collection.
The Hulk explains that he likes them because they are so fragile.
It really gave a new dimension to Hulk's character.
@@azerdraco3146 isn’t that why comic Hulk liked puppies? I mean obviously they’re adorable but they’re also very frail.
Basically it's the same reason he likes Peter he's so much like him a kid in pain and wanting to do good why he literally goes out of his way not to hurt Spidey when possible
It will not. This new generation of writers has no respect for what came before and have a huge over inflated sense of their own worth.
Hasn't that always been a thing?
A lot of people forget that Hulk is basically rage and radiation that is uncontrollable, but that he can also think and has his own personality whenever his rage can be tamed a bit.
Not his rage either banner's hence why some versions become smart because banner learns how to better deal with his anger so hulk has more control over himself as well because they both gain some proper peace
Not true, hulk is the repressed subconscious of banner after being abused as a child. His alter ego that takes on all his rage and trauma he repressed all his life and when he got hit by the nuke his alter ego absorbed it all. Hulk is supposed to represent banner and HIS lost childhood, the rage and trauma he grew up with.
@@zzodysseuszz eh subconscious is kinda not right because that's the functional part that regulates your systems as far as I've found it can do more but pretty sure that would make separating banner from hulk his death sentence
3:51 what’s crazy is that Loki wasn’t even doing this to be a dick, he legit was trying to help banner and inadvertently caused a problem, 😂 Loki being a good guy for once
Myth Accurate Loki. He's a gremlin, but he's pretty chill until the Asgardians fuck with his kids. Then he roasts the shit out of them, kills a guy, then gets chained to a rock indee a snake
Yeah, he's a full-on hero in the comics now. He's sort of a dick and can be self-serving, like Deadpool, but he's altruistic and never outwardly evil. They shifted things that way over the the last decade.
Spider hulk Spider Hulk, does whatever a spider hulk does!
Spider-Hulk, Spider-Hulk,
Does whatever a Spider-Hulk does.
Smashes rocks, big and round,
Shakes the earth, when he hits the ground.

Here comes the Spider-Hulk
And what 'does' a Spider Hulk do?
Whatever he wants.
"I was in the dark, screaming...but no one could hear me."
"Spider-Man transforms into the Hulk," Dumbledore said calmly
I understand this reference
It's so nice when writers remember Hulk is more like Bruce's younger brother, like a Hyperactive kid with rampaging strength, but he's still a person, despite everything
More of his older brother. He's a protector Alter, a disassociated identity created as a result of Banner's cPTSD from his abusive upbringing.
Not as if anybody ever talks to the hulk long enough for spidermans identity to come up. And try to get it out of him when he considrrs peter his friend if you dare.
I think this was around the whole One More Day incident where no one remembered Peter’s identity, but Hulk was gone at the time so he didn’t get mind wiped.
@@FARBerserker Me: "Hey Hulk. I heard you know who Spider-Man is, under the mask."

@@dragonleeman1283 Not after the events of No Way Home and/or its comic universe equivalent. Peter had Dr. Strange erase everyone's memory of that fact, but Hulk remembers because Peter/Spidey is one of Hulk's truest friends.

@@oneproudbrowncoat That he does.
Spider-Man has always been one of the few heroes who does try to understand Hulk’s plight.

I've always loved how the Hulk and Spider-Man are like best friends
Between banner, Peter and reed you got some super smart cookies in one room for sure
People forget Hulk has multiple PHDs.
I think this is the third time Spider-Man became a Hulk in main continuity. First time was in a Web of Spider-Man issue from the early 1990s. Second time was in the World War Hulks event in 2010.
Hulk will always be Spider-Man's friend because Spider-Man not only empathizes with Hulk's plight, but he also recognizes that Hulk is an entity all his own and not Bruce's.
i love when the hulk is written to be an emotional intelligent chill dude 😭

This would be nice if we saw atleast one prior interaction between the two, which we didn't.
Everyone calls the Hulk a monster...because he's different. It's sad really. He just wants peace.
The hulk is literally Bruce's response to anger, in a world where he is at peace, there is no hulk
@@Nobody-zl3kkthe hulk is his own person. He’s closer to a baby screaming after being born because he manifested from Bruce’s childhood anger. Some of yall don't read the comics and it shows.
@@DarkEcho32 You say that... Yet Marvel writers also eventually made the Immortal Hulk run
What anything IS in the 616 "continuity" is malleable and at the whims of current Marvel writers and editors.
Thanks "we are never going to reboot the timeline" mindset, very cool!
@Nobody-zl3kk tell me you don't read them without telling me you don't read them. Marvel already HAS rebooted the 616 timeline multiple times with the most notable being to move it forward in the timeline. Hulk was NEVER about peace. OG Hulk was a day/night Jekyll and Hyde, a concept still sometimes visited. Modern Hulk is literally a separate entity from Banner given life after the gamma radiation killed and resurrected him. Yes, the persona was formed from DID, but it isn't anger that makes it happen, and that's a gamut of conditions anyways. Hulk would have been created even without that and he won't stop existing no matter how "at peace" Banner is. At most, a lack of inner turmoil would either result in a possibly less angry Hulk or a completely mindless and feral beast, the latter of which is far worse.
From "no need to thank me" to "oh my bad" real quick there Loki
I would love to see a crossover like this between Moon Knight and Hulk, maybe even with Deadpool on the mix. Just the second voice talking or screaming inside their heads suddenly realizing they can hear each other, maybe coming up with a plan to solve a huge identity problem of heroes or citizens.
It would be awesome
thats how the hulk normally works, in immortal hulk its shown that all the versions of hulk we've seen (bruce banner, regular hulk, world breaker hulk, grey hulk, etc etc) are all different personalities, and that banner has a severe case of DiD
please no Deadpool
I'm glad the Hulk remembers that Spider-Man was Peter Parker and that they were friends. I hope that Hulk and Spider-Man will meet again.
Very nice narration to this story. Loved the Hulk's voice: it's deeply demonic and powerful. Preternaturally chilly.

that ending was surprisingly wholesome
Back in 1976, when I was in grade-school, I did a drawing of Spider-Hulk. As they saw me drawing it, I told all my classmates that Peter Parker was hit with Gamma Rays and became "A" Hulk. I drew him with bare feet and rips throughout the uniform, like this artist did. I forgot about my Spider-Hulk until seeing this video....
Was- was that Loki earnestly doing someone a favor?
Hulk walking off like Godzilla is sending me
Hulk and Petes relationship will always be my favorite
Banners not just a hero because he houses the Hulk or his intelligence. He knows that fear, lives with it every day. And when given the chance to throw it away he takes it back so someone else doesn't have to deal with it.
I mean, hulk is actually pretty smart probably. Just too hard to think while being so angry all the time
I actually really like the idea that Loki wasn't actually trying to cause any notable harm, and was just mostly fucking with Banner. Literally just being a pest. That IS like, his whole thing,
Wow. Seeing hulk so calm was something else-
I never thought I live long enough to actually see Hulk acknowledge Bruce as family it really warms my heart that time goes on and they get closer and closer.

Spiderman becoming the hulk caught me so off guard I thought I missed a page.
Loki having a hot dog is the best.
I was wondering if anyone noticed that!
Spidey introduced him to them.
When in New York...
If you like that, you’ll love what he does in a (somewhat) newer 2023 series. Thor goes looking for him, and finds him in Florida, where Loki proceeds to hand Thor a newspaper titled “Florida man attempts to trade alligator for…” (we aren’t shown the end of the sentence). Turns out that Loki is the Florida man. What’s even funnier is that Thor somehow knows about Florida man, and is almost more focused on Loki being him than the world-ending crisis at hand.
This is something I enjoy with different versions of hulk, he is a rampaging beast, but he's also Bruce's protector and born from all the pain Bruce went through as a child. He loves Bruce and wants to keep him safe.
The massive strengths of Spider-man and The Hulk in one body? That's is an idea whuch calls for a battle agains Superman, JUst to see which one let out the first "OOOOOWWWWWW!" in that fight!!!
By the way--didn't Spiderman pretty much defeated The Fantastic 4 in their very first battle ever?
Yup. Spider-man is a very efficient counter to most super-powered groups, so he tend to wipe the floor with all of them. Avengers, X-men, Fantastic Four, the only ones he still have trouble with at times is the sinister six, but that's because they're used to battle him, while the others under-estimate him.
The hulks whole thing is that he’s misunderstood. Despite being a “raging monster.” He never actually hurts anyone intentionally. It’s normally a response to people trying to kill him.
And another thing people forget because of mcu is that the Hulk is his own person. And another thing that makes him angry is when people call him banner like Hulk doesn’t exist
You know How Broken SpiderHulk would be 100x stronger than is the Spider-Man’s power multiplier
Yo, seriously, I love Spider Man, he’s powerful enough to excite with power stunts, his ethics and humor are consistently entertaining and believable!

I don’t think anyone has talked about it, but the fact that Peter even offered to keep the hulk is amazing to me. Even after knowing first hand how awful of a life it is to live with the Hulk, Pete still offers to keep him. Such a great moment.
I thought it was (albeit smashing) wholesome story
Can’t get over the idea that Thing knocked Spider-Hulk out with a punch (even with Mr. Fantastic holding him in place) when regular Hulk has thrashed Thing every time they’ve fought
Good ending, but kinda weak-sauce that, right after we are told that a Spider-Hulk is way too powerful for the Fantastic Four, a clout from the Thing knocks him out, anyway. It doesn't track. ='[.]'=
Did it say that he was too powerful for the FF or just that he outclassed the Thing? Because it seemed that they worked together really well to take him down.
Spidey-Hulk in spidey suit looks like Raphael from TMNT but on steroids 🤣🤣
Okay so radiation in marvel is just a superpower giver cause dude got literally exploded point blank with a rad bomb and he just comes out as green arndold schwartzenegger
Only very specific people after having their bodies altered or having a mutation and it depends on the universe
sometimes, the suggestion is that they had a pre-existing minor mutation, not enough to give them powers, but enough to direct the DNA alteration of the radiation so that instead of just cancer, it gives them superpowers
other times you're just meant to think this was the 1 in a million shot. Like you have X percentage of getting cancer from the radiation, and a much smaller Y percent of it changing your DNA to give you crazy powers. This was also originally the point behind the X-men before they retconned it to be aliens experimenting on humans, that it was random chance due to the explosion of nuclear bombs for the first time, making some people sick and others, better.
In Spidey's case, it's heavily implied the venom's power of traveling through the bloodstream combined with the radiation's power of giving-superpowers, caused him to not just mutate, but in ways similar to the spider's own DNA
Dude walks into the Ocean like he's some folklore monster..

This was brought up in the Avengers cartoon Earth's Mightiest Heros and I think the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. So your idea is probably spot on.
That was how Wolverine could find Peter, cause he was there for Peter’s birth. I think with Hulk the excuse was he didn’t exist when One More Day happened, so mind wiped didn’t get him, like it got Banner and everyone else.
That was dope dialog coming from the HULK
I like hulk and Pete's relationship, but this was unnecessary. It painted Hulk too much like his own entity, not the part of Banner that seethes under his calm surface. Other writers do this, too...and I think it is a mistake.
Hulk is his own entity
@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259 some writers write him that way. Better writers write him as the repressed true self of Banner.
@noneyabidness9644 that's kind of boring imo. I see him as a mix of both. He's banners ugly side too but I think it kinda makes sense he's a second personality considering those form from ab-se. But he definitely hates banner and is vastly different

It wpuld have been really sweet if Peter also said he was there fornthe Hulk as well. Hulk needs hugs!
Another reason why spiderman is loved, when it was time to return the hulk to banner, Spiderman offered if he keeps the Hulk instead so Banner doesnt suffer anymore, of course banner refused l, its hard to not have control. Damn Spiderman is such a good guy, even with a throw away line like that, youd still see how her really cares about people.
I love the hulk being his own identity
I always liked the idea of Spider-Man being friends with the Hulk
No one's talking about how selfless it was for Peter to suggest he'd keep the Hulk, even after experiencing what it's like to be in Bruce's shoes.
