To be honest I didn't say to my ex "I want someone prettier, because I'm a shallow selfish mofo just like everyone else". But I did treat her very well and smoothed the breakup as much as she needed, until she met someone else and stopped talking to me. What I did is way more courtesy and caring than other exes gave me, telling they were madly in love with me forever and then abruptly ditching me out to rot like I was nothing at all, when something else was available. Sometimes the truth is unsayable. If people were honest 95% of the time they would say "I can do better than you" or "you don't offer me enough for my time". Sad but true.
I had to block people that act busy when you text them something important. Most people can't stay an hour without checking their phone but yet in some way they are always busy
...Me and my 3 other friends we all grew apart into loneliness. Its not that we hate or dislike eachother or dont like the company but its simply more comfortable to be eachother on his own! We like our own company more than we like company from other people! Its just that simple! And its easier to say Im busy than to say I like spending time on my own more than I like spending time with you especially if you re spending a lot of time together and one is very pushy! Rather than telling the truth one comes up with a lie! Spending time alone for me for example is very precious and I can go weeks and months without ever feeling the need to talk to someone! If Im getting pressed to socialize I wont react well! I think since 2020 its not just me that is like this, but a lot of people! Its good to mention that parasocial relationships are on the rise and do the job pretty well without you lifting a finger! The need for socialisation is taken care of and its comfortable! Im kinda rambling, but you get the point !

Some people will "get it" after a certain amount of time or after a certain event in their life, and if the person who tried to tell them at the time never did, then maybe they wouldn't have come to that realisation. Sure, more than half the people you try to get the message across to won't understand, but some may understand on the spot, some the next day or week, and some years later.. even if it's only 10% of the people you tell, it still happens.
