Wow! They really nail each respective voice, and their mannerisms reflect their characters well and it's well written. It is so uncanny to hear Sarah and Jennifer's voices replicated this spectacularly.

Kreia really does have a serious point: undirected rage is dangerous, but measured and controlled anger?
    That gets shit done.

[Preface: This response has been generated by an AI, asked to emulate the character of Kreia from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II. The following text aims to reflect Kreia's perspective on anger and its uses. Please note, this is a simulated response designed to align with the character's viewpoint.]
"Indeed, anger, like any emotion, is not inherently destructive. It is its use, its channeling that determines its outcome. When untamed, it wreaks havoc; when harnessed, it can be a catalyst for change. But remember, controlled anger is but a step away from slipping into hatred, into the abyss. Let it be a tool, not your master. The challenge lies not in wielding the tool, but in ensuring we are not wielded by it in turn."

Ah.... Kreia is my favourite master of the force and the amount of these conversations which manifested all of a sudden are so lovely abundant.
This one being a shining pearl amongst them. ❤
I thank you for these insightful conversations filled with provoking thoughts.
It is indeed balance we ought to strive for, however our world as it currently stands is quite far from "balanced".
In that regard it ain't much of a wonder if scales tip to one side or the other, depending on "the soil" which brought you up.
But it is not just the soil, or the seed which will have the last word.
A skilled farmer knows or atleast strives to learn how these function and if they have patience matching their skill, soil will be nourishing enough for the seed and the seed will not be neglected.
Through force, you are neither seed nor soil.
You are the one, who works with all above and deep beyond through yourself.

To understand one you need to Know the other. The path to true wisdom is to learn and experience both light and dark learn the pitfalls of each and the strength of each. You must then take from each what is needed to live, and protect that which needs protection. Strengthen that that needs strengthening. Finding the path of balance though I do not believe could ever be achieved in a lifetime but may be worth the struggle to achieve it.

When I contemplate about the light side and dark side I look at Anakin. The light (Jedi Order) seems to be good, he had his friends and Padme. But his mom was left behind, he got put in a war, and the Jedi didn’t fully support him(Mace). With the dark he got temporary satisfaction, and it helped him out of some tough spots, but he was manipulated his entire life by Palpatine. If he was trained to use both or just use the force properly, maybe he would have had a better life. I’m no expert on Star Wars, so I don’t have a clear answer. It seems to give you more power if you use both, but if you don’t have balance you fall into a bad path. The Jedi fell and the Sith fell, and they both seem to keep coming back. This is all just my opinion, and again I am no expert on Star Wars. I am just going off what I’ve seen and read in the series.

Its sad. Kreia was another victim of a wise force sensitive, who mistakes herself to be able to reflect above the force. Being able to hold no faction nor colour. If you choose no place, a place will choose you. If you hold no allegiance, noone will hold you in regard. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Its yet another atempt at immortality, what shall fail. Wanting to control all emotion, is in itself an emotion and cant be neutral. Kreia simply didnt understood loyalty and took it for granted, what many savy people do, for having a poorly developed social awareness skill, trying to see the error outside of herself.

What an interesting take. I hadn't thought of that. She DID always condemn relationships and connection didn't she?. I wouldn't say she is fully apathetic...she hated the force itself, and I think tried to simply take a stance that was as free from the force as possible. I think you are right in a sense, she does hold a concerning amount of apathy, but sort of saw the need for it? Someone to be so distant from desiring the force, trusting it, so that others could compare and see how they trusted it too much. And used it blindly. I don't think she is mistaken in her ability to reflect though, since she has experienced a further falling and recovery than pretty much anyone. She may just not have the whole picture yet, and is still taking cautious steps in her perspectives.

There must be balance neither light nor dark. They both exist in harmony with each other. Order is derived from chaos and there cannot be order without chaos and in order there is also chaos. Without light you can’t define dark and without dark you can’t define light as they are both dependent on each other to exist

Kashyyyk & Manaan are good examples of the possible positive effects of the Dark Side.
It was from the Star Maps (artifacts of self-sufficient dark side power) on both planets that made both such vibrant sources of life, even leading to the birth of the Wookies & the formation of kolto (respective to each planet).

"Ah, to judge wisdom by years and experience alone is a narrow view. Consider, instead, the transformative power of perspective, of understanding. True, Bastila's path has fewer footprints than mine, but do not dismiss the depth of her insight. Our conversations are not battles of wits, but shared journeys towards wisdom. It is in this exchange, this dialectic, that we each find new ways of seeing, of understanding. A reminder, perhaps, that we are all students and teachers to each other, in turn."

I think the final lesson of the original trilogy is that Light=balance. The Darkside drains the life out of everything, but the Darkside itself isn't anger, or fear, or power, instead it is the end result if those things when they are not used wisely and with no restraint.

In my view, a Light may be a relieving balm but could lose meaning when it is the only thing you are exposed to. It could blind you not just to other views but also your own heart. It can be the torch to guide one from the light but by itself? It holds nothing except obliviousness at best, apathy at worst.
Darkness on the other hand can provide the comforting shelter under the caring touch of a lack of intrusion but could also smother just as sure as a pillow before the sleeping noble. It could shelter the weak but also hide the foulest of evils. One can easily lose their way inside it and end up just as cruel as those who use the Dark Side as their aid in ambush.
The Dark Side grants strength to those who need it but could also expose the cruelties of the one who wields it, those we call 'Sith'. While the Light is itself an illuminating thing which could mend wounds, it could make the arrogance become more apparent under the cold light of day and encourage stagnancy. Look upon the Jedi Lords AND Sith Lords for examples of both. Especially on Ruusan.
Indeed, one must remember that Dark and Light are but two sides of the same coin, it's powers do not make one truly cruel by themselves but the wielders are what make said powers so cruel in the first place. That is my take on this matter.

I've always seen the dark side like an addictive drug. Once you have a taste of the power it provides it's becomes difficult to let go. The more you immerse yourself in it the harder it is to give it up as you become dependent on it. Just take a look at Darth Sion or Darth Nihilus. They both became slaves to their hunger and pain.

Kreia is wrong because she sees the Dark Side as a focus for free will. But that is what the Force itself is. Choosing evil leads to the Dark Side. The Dark Side is effect, not cause.

I see some similarities between the light and dark side of the force and the concept of anu and phadomay in the elder scrolls lore. In that universe anu represent, that which is, stasis, and infinity while phadomay represents, that which could be, change, and the finite. The light side seems inline with embracing the present, trapping our more chaotic side in stasis, and also the potential to become infinite by becoming one with the force. While the dark side also fits as the dark side is very potent in changing the universe and also champions that potential as it’s allure, bringing forth a may be by will. But as is fitting as well since phadomay is also imbued with the concept of the finite, it is fitting that no sith has, despite innumerable attempts, achieved infinite life except the one Sith Lord who practiced the light side of the force.

    • @OMGwtfSTFUbrb
      @OMGwtfSTFUbrb Рік тому

To add further to this thought anu is often thought of as a blinding light and phadomay as a hungering void. That also mirrors the star wars universe as the light side may blind one to the reality of non ideal truths and the dark side may if not careful devour you and leave nothing but a husk and destruction behind.

As I don't know Elder Scrolls well myself, I let Kreia answer (The below response was generated by ChatGPT, based on the character of Kreia from Star Wars):
"Your observations, weaving the threads of two distinct tales into one, are astute. The concepts of Anu and Padomay, representing the dualities of existence, resonate deeply with the ever-warring light and dark sides of the Force. Your insight into the Sith's pursuit of immortality, despite being inherently finite like Padomay, juxtaposed against the Jedi's embrace of the infinite akin to Anu, is indeed thought-provoking. These parallels suggest that the struggles and philosophies we confront are not unique to our universe but echo in others.
The blinding nature of Anu and the devouring void of Padomay bear lessons for us. For, in our pursuit of knowledge and power, whether through the light or the dark, we must remain vigilant against the seductive dangers of both. Blind idealism can be just as destructive as unchecked ambition.
Your reflections serve as a poignant reminder that the essence of our struggles and triumphs might not be bound by our universe but are echoes in the vast tapestry of existence."

The darkseid is a perversion of the force. It is the result of force sensitives trying to force their influance on it trough intens emotions instead of allowing it to flow trough them. Though it can be used in small mesures in the defense of others, those who seeks its true power will always find their once noble goals twisted until all that is left is the first for domination. For the darkseid, by it's very nature, reject altruism. It embodies individualism in it's most selfish form contrary to the force which create and binds all lives.
Bastilla knows this well. In her fall, she turned against everyone and everything she ever cared about out of selfish anger; but it was her love for Revan that brought her toward the light. Following those events, Revan and Bastilla theorised that good emotions such as love strengthen the lightside the same way bad emotions such as hatred strengthen the darkseid.
