Great warm sound! really impressive well played! I'm playing since 25 years now, learning this notes on my own, i know it's not that easy, but it sounds so amazing :)
OMG, hi Mead, I'm so blessed that I can see you playing this! About 10 to 15 years ago, I was with the NCKU wind band in Taiwan. Also, we performed once together on the stage (I was playing the clarinet). Anyway, I have just joined a school band these days, and started learning Euphonium!! More than that, we will play this song too on the concert as a presentation though obviously it's not me who plays the solo. Thanks to the algorithm for leading me to your wonderful Euphonium performance. =)
Mr Mead this by for the best recording of the green hill that I have listened to because of your amazing tone and intonation and I have been learning this peace with the help of your recording of it thank you so much! I am 16 and trying to be music major in college and for it to be my career as a euphonium player, Thank you for your hard work!
You Sir, are an inspiration! Waiting for this piece to arrive any day now in the mail. Looking forward to working on it. Your sound as always, is wonderful.
Anche se adesso ci sono nuovi "Galli ruspanti" Steven Mead rimane in assoluto un mito ed un punto di riferimento per tutti quelli che suonano l'euphonium.. 🔝
Start off practising it very slowly so you get the rythm and notes right, then go a bit faster and practise until you've got it to a satisfactory result. I like to start at 80 beats a minute, then add 3-5 beats every time I want to go faster. Personally I use some double tonguing to play it well at full speed, so don't be afraid to experiment with that too.
@@JustClaude13 Depends on how much you practise, and on how quick you pick up on the basics. Always remember to play relaxed and breathe low instead of the top of your lungs. There are some good videos here on youtube that explain how to breathe properly.
Steven Mead Yup. I saw all of these UA-camrs uploading videos with Rena as the Pianist and I was like “wow she’s getting paid by many to be the accompanist” and then I realized that she is just uploading some of these to UA-cam for free. Truly admirable.
I think this is in E-Flat... Sorry for late response, hope you found what you were looking for by now!! I also found a pdf online if you're still looking

Your tone is As beautiful as before. Had an honor to be your student many years ago. Thanks for teaching me Sir
友達が吹いていてすごい綺麗な曲でお気に入りの1曲です🥰🥰
この方のユーフォの音色が私もユーフォだったらこんな音色で吹いてみたいな〜って思うような音色でとても魅力的です😳

Thank you so much! A wonderful version of one of my favourite pieces 😃
昔からミード氏のファンです。
音の移り変わりにちょっとクセがありますね。
Inaは色々聴きましたがやはり本家?のが一番だった記憶があります。今はすっかり離れちゃいましたが、やはりユーフォの音色は癒されますね。
Wow amazing. Im currently practicing this piece but i carnt do the middle celtic piece wherebthe tempo picks up

I just bought a used euphonium (Yamaha YEP-210). How long does it usually take before it starts to sound like a euphonium?

Que lindo muito lindo esse som
Show........ perfeito....
Lovely, just ....... lovely .
綺麗
I’m guessing the people that dislike it are people who don’t know how to play an instrument.
a few jealous people out there. It's ok :)
ミードさんみたいなユーフォ奏者になりたいです🥺🥺
“Gotta go fast!”
Rena is getting the big bucks I swear
she's getting no bucks :) It's called 'giving back' to the music world.

I could compare the be2052 silver with the new gold version. Silver sounds like a powerfull workhorse, but gold sounds really like heaven.
In the piano accompaniment, it gets uncomfortable when you don't have Prof. Mead holding your hand.
4:51 nice face.
