  • Around the green and bunkers a lob wedge can become a golfers saviour.. however, when used from further out it’s often a disaster!
Watch this video to become very consistent at your high approaching to that front pin. Bingo 👌🏼
Thank you for your support I really appreciate all of you 🙏🏼

It’s a shot that always scares me, but this all makes total sense. You are right it’s all about process. SB

We call these, "Parachute Shots" , herein the States. It takes so much hand-eye coordination to lift and drop the ball on target to such a short-sided green. How would you play that shot if you had a stiff wind in your face? A low pitch & run, and hope for the best? Cheers!

Actually into the wind makes it easier as spin will be exaggerated so I’d hit the low spinning wedge I mention. Definitely a lower trajectory shot. Try to avoid the hope for the best at all times!
Basically you play the shot that feels the most comfortable or “doable”. I talk in this video about the high one because “I feel like it” it may not have been the percentage shot but if you feel confident play it.

Very impressive. You have to be playing a fair amount to be confident of that shot working.

      Thank you Mike!
If you think about it though.. if you commit to the BLUEPRINT swing and get the strike with any shot you’ll have a very high success rate..
It’s an emotional game. Golf by its nature is there to sap your confidence and make you nervous.. anxious. So I try and make it do you can beat that with putting your mind into what you can control.. The Process. Not the outcome.
Zone out and clone and repeat those practice swings as your goal when the ball is there 😉

Ah, another most enjoyable skill to have on the golf course and yet is see so very few people practicing this shot. Honestly it's not a hard shot either with a good technique like what you are teaching. Get a feel at the range for it but during a practice round when you have room, drop balls at 20 yards and get the feel for the release, high check shot. Then drop at 30, 40, 50,..yards and learn the shot. With that comes skill and confidence. Understand though mushy ground isn't friendly to this shot. Bang on 👍
